In a casual yet elegant atmosphere, set in a recently remodelled century old historic train station, Claire's passion is great food and outstanding service. Offering contemporary American cuisine - local, seasonally focused - with a Southern flaire. The renovation honors the historic character of the Warrenton Train Depot, resulting in a warm, comfortable environment for casual meetings with friends, or special occasions and intimate family meals. The warm, elegant Garden Room provides seating for intimate meals, while the Tavern Room features a more casual dining experience in luxurious surroundings. A rotating selection of craft beers is available on tap, and the wine service is regularly expanded. Outdoor dining is available in season, and private events can be hosted in one of several areas in the restaurant. Awarded "Best of Warrenton" every year since 2006.

    Every visit to Claire's' seems to top the previous outstanding experience. From the time we walked in. through out the table experiences and until we left, the staff was wonderful and the ambience was really comfortable. Wife and I each had Rockfish - really excellent. And of course the She Crab Sop - the best! Because this was a birthday celebration, we decided to indulge and have desert. Oh Boy! We each had Key Lime pie. This takes me back to growing up in South Florida. It is absolutely superb. We always enjoy Claire's and appreciate the wonderful atmosphere and outstanding food.

    This the first visit to Clair's for me and my husband and we came away impressed with all aspects of our dinner experience. The building itself is a clever repurposing of Warrenton's old train station. We asked for window seating and were given a nice table on the enclosed porch overlooking a small fenced in garden with a few outdoor tables. Over drinks we were served freshly baked rolls and butter. We both started with their "famous" she crab soup which was quite good and loaded with crab bits. For the entree I chose the rockfish special over a sweet polenta with carrots and asparagus, while my husband had the veal scaloppini with potatoes and arugula. Everything was delicious: the rockfish being some of the best I have ever had. For dessert, I had the key lime pie and husband had the blackberry crumble, both big hits. Service was attentive but not overbearing and the restrooms were immaculate. We will definitely return, maybe try lunch.

    Always a great stop. Relaxing, great service, excellent food. The wine sommelier tasting was a bonus. Halibut special (with gruyere ravioli) was wonderful.

    We have always been pleased with the atmosphere and delighted in the food. Unusually, today the service was slow, though very pleasant when the server was available. We have always been pleased with the service before. Hopefully when we return for the fook, the service will be back to its usua standards.

    Excellent dinner, atmosphere was great, staff professional and very polite. Felt price of the food/drinks was a bit steep, but your service, food preparations have to be taken into account - I get it. The restaurant is a great place to visit once a year for us due to costs. Will we pass on out experience to others? Absolutely!
