It was my first time at Cluny and I loved it! The ambience is terrific - I felt I was in Paris. The food was delicious and our server was helpful and very nice. Many thanks.
Very noisy Sat. Nite, unable to have conversations acct background chatter.
Bisque nicely presented in puff pastry.
It was our first time at Clumy and our first impression was what beautiful decor and ambience....only to be impressed by service and delicious, beautiful food. We’ll be back next time in Toronto.
My wife and I real enjoy the restaurant
The food, the ambiance etc
Lovely room and pleasant service. Excellent baked goods.
I have been to Cluny many times and especially enjoy two dishes in particular: Brussels sprouts salad (no longer on the menu) and the Moroccan tagine. Twice in the last four visits a main vegetable in the dishes was undercooked /uncooked: the Brussels sprouts in the salad and the sweet potatoes in the tagine.
Mentioned it was a birthday celebration when I made the reservation and again during the meal. Restaurant staff did nothing to acknowledge the special occasion which was very disappointing.
We had a great time and the food was really tasty.
I had the lamb and it was one of the best I had
Cluny was incredible, as usual! Impeccable service and food.
Great ambiance and decor. Food was average but not very authentic french.
The restaurant said we did not make the reservation，I was confusing.
Relatives visiting from out of town so we came here as we live the distillery district and heard Cluny's was great.
Food, ambiance and service was great. The only reason I gave it a 4 star and not 5 was because although service was great it tended to be a bit slow.
Took my mom here for her birthday. Food was beautiful and service was fantastic. Cluny really surprised us with birthday treats. Thank you so much, we both lived our brunch here and will definitely go back.
Wonderful place for a post-theatre dinner. Beautiful decor makes for a stunning dining experience. The cocktails and appetizers were perfect, and when the entree special I ordered was sold out, the waiter hand-picked an excellent substitute from the main menu for me.
We are Soulpepper subscribers and have gone to Cluny for years before the show. However, this time was a real disappointment. We were seated next to the entrance to the kitchen and had to listen to servers yelling ‘corner’ constantly.
Our waiter Stephen brought the bottle of wine after the food arrived and then seemed to remember to get us bread. Not to the usual quality.
Nice. Service was great. My friends loved the place.
The waiter was very friendly, patient and knowledgeable about the items on the menu. He described how the presentation of the food would be (he was correct). We came for a late dinner. Despite being the last ones in the restaurant, we didn’t feel rushed out. Good time.
Everything was good...from getting us in early to choosing the food and wine...everyone was helpful and happy. Food was great and Mark's choice of appetizer for us was amazing. All you could ask for.
The service was amazing. Food impeccable. They have an extensive wine list - We asked for pairings with our mains and were not disappointed!
It can be hard to get a reservation on the weekends... but when we can't get a reso there's usually room in their beautiful lounge or oyster bar which is also 10/10 😍
We had an amazing waiter that was present the very moment we thought of something. Very friendly with our kids. We had a very nice evening. The only point that I could recommend would be to add some main courses. The choices were limited and even more for a pregnant women.
2nd time eating at Cluny....can't say enough positive things about it. There were 4 of us this time and we all agreed that the decor and ambiance is so charming we all felt as though we were away..on vacay, in a European bistro! Food is superb with lots of great variety and the service is as charming as the atmosphere! Going to make thus yummy place a fave !!
Server forgot coffee.
Always a great place for family brunch... The food and atmosphere are both amazing
Although we were very happy with our service at dinner, the service that we received at the reception was less than welcoming.
The reception staff were unprofessional, bordering on rude. We would have like to have gone for a drink until our table was ready, but that was also not possible. Bar stools were also per-reserved and standing was not permitted. We stood over 20 minutes at the door until our table was ready, this for a reservation that was made four weeks ago.
Again the Food was exceptional as well as the service from our waiter. Unfortunately the
poor reception overshadowed our dinner.
In my opinion, Lamb with Ratatouille/Escargot was a mess to eat with together. Too mushy and lamb meat was served cold but the restaurant apologized and made me a new and hot lamb dish. Chocolate dessert was more delicious than foods.
Great décor and atmosphere, food is so-so, fish was not fresh, but service was great! Bread is also great! A bit on the expensive side for what you get. French fries were great.
Get the french onion soup. It was the most delicious soup I have had in my life. And I have had a lot of soup.
I struggled with the price because while it was fair for the amount of food we received, the food did not taste as well as we had anticipated. The wine was ok, nothing to write home about.
Great food service and and ambiance. On the pricy side though so it’s good for an occasion :)
Excellent A1 every time - reasonably priced, first rate service and fine high quality food. Tables can be a little close together so don't take the first one they assign you. Wine list is good but would be nice to have more Canadian wines (and more craft beer for that matter). Best restaurant east of Yonge Street bar none. Cool area - historic and well preserved. A true favourite
Great meal,, Tiffany, our server, was amazingly friendly and attentive. Manager visited the table, was very impressed with both the food and service. Would highly recommend.
Soup was EXTREMELY salty, nearly inedible. Bread basket was delicious and service was fast. Drinks were also good. However, when going for dinner food is definitely number one priority and they didn't deliver.
We ordered or favourite dishes and we mentioned to our server that they were specially good that night. She said it was Sonia who prepared them, so thanks Sonia! The octopus was tender, nicely seasoned I could see the chorizo chunks and the potatoes were crispy outside and soft inside, the kale and sauce perfect. My husband loved the baked fish with the beans.
Always a pleasure to have dinner there and more so last Sunday night. Thanks again!
The ambiance and food presentation was great. Unfortunately, three of us ordered the filet mignon and the kitchen had run out. Disappointing to us all. We had a 7pm reservation and we were surprised that the filet was not available so early in the evening.
Cute French style bistro in the Distillery District.
It was first time there. The ambience is awesome. I only had salad which was very good. I liked the place.
We absolutely loved this place. We have been going to many of the french restaurants that Toronto has to offer and this is truly one of the best. We usually do places with small plates but, the mains here are really great. The oyster bar is a nice touch and the drink menu is pretty killer. It's also in the distillery so that gives you the nice after meal walk and romance u know.
Overall, top notch!!
Food was mediocre, given price. Poor value. Underwhelming overall.
The only things that I would have changed:
1. is the table that we sat at was a mix of chairs and a booth. To eat I found the booth seats too low to eat at the table.
2. It was my husbands birthday and I requested a cupcake for after dinner - this was not provided - not a big deal
Overall our experience and food was great!
