the best patio for brunch and for an evening drink
Really nicely done lunch and COVID-19 precautions were in place. The coq au vin poutine was delicious but very heavy. Madame duck was also a winner.
Socially distanced patios well done and delicious food
Always a pleasant time with great food! Servers are very accommodating.
Wonderful ambiance in a very pretty patio. Unfortunately, Almost everything on the menu was deep fried.
Came in, was welcomed and served water right away when asked, and my drinks came out on time. Appetizers were awesome, but when it came to the entree is where they lost us. Served us well done salmon and a tuna croissant sandwich that was stacked with vegetables making it hard to eat without making a mess of ourselves. Servers didn’t come by for a while during this period, so me and my wife enjoyed the patio setting and asked for our cheque’s and food to be packed. They let us know that cause of COVID they can not pack for us which is reasonable of course. But they had no bags or brown paper bags to carry the boxes. So just left the food behind and paid. Expected something else, felt like a jack astors or firkin quality food. More bar food than anything.
Great food and service, I slight delay in a cocktail order resulted in a larger cocktail - which was awesome.
Excellent birthday dinner with friends
Awesome service, ambience and food! Highly recommended it!
My 4th time at Cluny’s and I think it should be my last.
Food is just ok...and I need to remember that next time someone suggests going there. It was an all-round agreement with our group that the food is just blah.
I ordered the farmhouse breaky (I think that’s what it was called) with eggs over easy...showed up with the eggs beyond fully cooked well done and the sausage couldn’t have been more over cooked, ultra dry and essentially the last step before entering the burnt stage. The potatoes, unlike the eggs and sausage, were not fully cooked, had to push half of them aside.
My wife’s chicken Cobb salad had some fairly questionable quality chicken. Definitely wasn’t freshly grilled. She loves salad, and ate maybe half of it and gave up. Said it wasn’t worth bringing home.
Waiter was nice, friendly and helpful.
All in all, a neat place, with mediocre food at best.
Literally everything was as we expected! The food is very delicious and exquisitely served, the interior design creates an exclusive atmosphere. I definitely recommend it!
French onion soup delicious as always
The server was delightful. The wine she recommended was very nice. The food, except dessert, was dissapointing. It was pretty empty so it felt like a barn.
Amazing as always
Nice ambiance with friendly staff. The appetizers were good - something "bites" was excellent. Unfortunately the main course was wanting. My steak was cold in the middle. I ordered it Medium to Medium rare but "please more on the medium side". I know this a bit of an ask but the steak came very much on the rare side. I didn't have the nerve to send it back as it was a much smaller cut than I was expecting and I figured it would be no big deal to just finish it. The accompanying French fries were good. My wife's soufflé was just okay. Nothing to write home about...A friend who joined us did not finish his meal and said it to was just okay. Can't remember what he ordered. In any case we are not compelled to go back to this restaurant.
Beautiful French style restaurant with pastries to die for. Fantastic service that was quick and did not feel rushed. Food was pricey though.
Our server was amazing !!!
The ambience and food were excellent.
My girlfriend was promoted and I wanted to treat her to a nice dinner at a place we really enjoy. Cluny is not only great food but a romantic ambiance and modern decor.
Our dinner service was excellent and our server was very attentive and knowledgeable.
I had requested a special desert while booking through OpenTable and Cluny and our server made sure it was taken care of. The desert was decadent and flashy enough to suit our special occasion.
I would highly recommend Cluny for any occasion.
Cluny’s is my go to for any occasion. Took my friend there for the first time and she loved it as well! The service was great and the food was amazing.
The experience is really good. Ambiance, food and service match expectations.
Birthday brunch for a close friend
We had a wonderful experience, with the exception of a some rather fishy raw clams on our mini seafood tower that we suspect may have contributed to our currently very upset stomachs. Avoid the clams, but everything else we ate was excellent, the service was exceptional, and the atmosphere was lively and pleasant.
Servers were not knowledgeable about the menu, found the food lacking in both taste and structure.
I went to Cluny with a friend to celebrate our birthdays while visiting from Iowa and we absolutely loved it. The service was top-notch, the waiter’s recommendations were delicious (French onion soup, fondue, and frog legs) and we loved the ambience. We really loved that the restaurant provided us a birthday dessert and an unforgettable experience. Would love to come back again the next time we are in Canada.
Nice family brunch in beautiful surroundings!
Great dinner service. The frog legs were amazing and the pomme de pin was a great finishing touch for a birthday dinner!
My birthday cannot eat in the restaurant, but it is truly understandable. However, the steak is not valued as it is 42.99 dollar
Exceeded my expectations!
Wonderfully presented, perfectly prepared food. Staff are exceptionally courteous and attentive. Atmosphere is warm and welcoming.
We had a wonderful dinner at Cluny. Every dish we ordered exceeded expectations, the service was impeccable and so friendly, and the ambiance was elegant and eclectic. Outstanding on all fronts!
Absolutely wonderful experience! We have been there so many times abd each tome the food and service have been impeccable! Highly recommend it when visiting the Distillery.
Definitely an excellent option if you are looking for modern french cuisine. The lively vibe is nicely accentuated by an attentive staff and a large but well sectioned dining room that evokes both a steam punk kind of modernity with the tactile elements of a good french bistro. Very continental but modern. The food is excellent from the more traditional items of the french onion soup to more experimental offerings on the mains. Cocktails are playful and tasty, and the wine list, while not extensive, it most certainly accessible.
Great French restaurant, delicious food, excellent service and a charming ambience in the dining room. The desserts are very unique and you shouldn’t leave without trying one. Cluny’s provides one of the best dining experiences in Toronto. Great for locals, a must for visitors!
Food was ok but as a dietetic they wouldn’t let me sub out the fries for veggies with my steak. Not worth the price especially since I can’t eat the fries. They act like an over priced restaurant but they are simply a tourist trap.
Birthday brunch, Vince are server was lovely. Food was excellent. Wonderful ambiance. Brought a yummy loaf of bread from attached bakery. Very enjoyable afternoon!
Lovely Sunday brunch with family and some friends who have a marriage coming up. The ambience was perfect for the occasion. Food choices were interesting and for the most part very tasty and well presented, perhaps a bit pricey. Service was very good. Overall a very good spot if you don’t mind spending ~$40pp for breakfast without any alcohol considered.
Loud ambiance, breakfast was average. Dish did not need Cumin, enjoyed my meal all day.
Beautiful and delicious!
Food here is always fabulous. Come hungry and definitely try the French onion soup!
Food and service was lackluster but nice ambience
