A great conclusion to a long weekend in DC!
Excellent all around! Great food, great service, great time! Will be back soon!
Service was lousy! Very slow and the waiter sort of tossed the menu at us and asked if we wanted water. We then waited 20 minutes for drinks. A Stella and a Chardonnay. All the neighboring diners were not happy either. Clyde’s in Georgetown is slipping. Second poor experience. Need customer service lessons. Ok. Blame it on covid🤣
Visiting WDC with my son - great place for lunch and atmosphere!
As usual food was excellent as was the service by Matt.
The food was delicious and offered many options. The service was good, too. Ambience at this place is always great! We chose Clyde’s for our Thanksgiving dinner because they are one of the few restaurants that are, not only open till late, but provide more than just a fixed/set menu—so, that’s what makes Clyde’s unique in this special evening. Overall, splendid experience. Outdoor seating was also available.
Thanksgiving dinner plate came out cold but the service was great
It's our 21's year of going to a Clydes property for Thanksgiving. It is perfection for everyone every single time.
Seating was congested. Understandable, due to the holiday. However, another guest ruined the evening when she yelled at me for staring at them; it was because we were crammed into a corner seat so every time I turned my head to the right at a 45 degree angle, I would make eye contact with this other guest. She ruined the evening.
Excellent advice and service from Alex. Clyde's Thanksgiving dinner never fails to please, and it was excellent as usual. Huge portions, light and dark turkey, dressing, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, green beans, cranberry sauce. Classic, and excellent.
I chose the pecan pie, and it was great as well.
Terrific! I travel the world eating and I think this particular location is one of those rare places where you experience true 'American' dining.
We had a reservation, but arrived early. They were able to seat us. A couple of our party stopped to shop on the way and they accommodated that as well. Our waiter was attentive but flexible with our party. A great meal!
Very nice place to dine in the middle of Georgetown. It's perfectly located about 1 block from Blues Alley. Will surely dine there again.
We made reservations and ended up leaving after 40mins of not getting our food. We only ordered appetizers and 1 drink each which was a pear sangria and it was not great. Everyone around us that came after us all received their food. This was our first time and never again will we return. The manager was nice but after waiting for fries, wings and crab dip was not worth the wait.
Luckily we had a reservation because there were a lot of diners that day!! It was a wonderful experience in every way.
Busy Friday night and fairly noisy but great service and food
Fantastic. Never disappoints.
This is my second time here, everything was great, from food to service. The portions are not big, so it’s ok if you want to eat moderately
I thought it was a great place. I took my wife we both enjoyed our time.
Unfortunately the number of the party changed from six to eight. I called to see if they could accommodate and they said yes. I didn’t realize they simply added two chairs to the table of six so we were all crammed. I would’ve preferred if they simply stated that they couldn’t accommodate and I would’ve looked elsewhere. So it wound up bruh and uncomfortable dining experience. Otherwise food was good and waitress was excellent.
Food was delicious and the service was great! We had lunch on a Saturday and it was very busy. Happy we made a reservation!
Brunch couldn't have been any better! Our service was top notch, the food was amazing and the atmosphere was second to none! Highly recommend!
Good but insanely noisy!
This restaurant was phenomenal and delicious. It is a great restaurant for kids and very nice menu with several different things choose from. I definitely recommend going to this restaurant.
Everything was perfect. Food was delicious. It was a great experience
Always a nice experience…..
Food was slow getting to the table…. Must have been busy!
Waiter Lu was amazing. Service was great!!! Food was delicious. We were outside. A bit cold.
Always have a good experience at Clyde!
Our son works here as a server and we can in as a group of 17. Great apps, drinks, and decor. We’ll be back!
Great music playing, fabulous servers and great food
Today’s Reuben sandwich was excellent, as it usually is, though the French fries were not as great as they sometimes (more often than not) are. Nonetheless, it was an enjoyable lunch. I have yet to find a Reuben in the DC area that I like better than Clyde’s.
Though short staffed, every effort was made to make the experience as best as possible.
Friendly, vibrant restaurant with delicious food and great service.
Excellent meal and service. Pricey.
Very friendly and helpful stuff, good food, reasonable prices
Had a wonderful time at this location. They were able to accommodate a reservation change within 24 hours which I really appreciate. Food and service were great!
Another excellent suggestion from Alex on the steak salad. Steak was perfectly prepared, rare, and the blue cheese and sauce were excellent. Great menu option.
Alex also mentioned a great Cotes du Rhone Cabernet, which is well matched for the steak salad.
Sadly the food quality was not there. Warm fish and chips, with sparse chips and two very small fillets. Although the amount was enough, the presentation was lacking.
I specifically made a reservation at Clyde’s for my partner’s birthday based off of recommendations from Allergy Eats and Spokin. My partner has severe allergies and we have limited options when dining out. The staff was exceptionally knowledgeable and even greeted us at our table with the knowledge of his allergies (and a happy birthday greeting). Our server immediately pointed out the safe food options for him and assured us he would pass along the information to the chef. He came back twice to acknowledge his needs. The ambience, food and price were amazing. We had the hummus appetizer, rigatoni bolognese and the roasted turkey sandwich with mixed greens. Fabulous and will definitely be back any time we are in DC.
Had a great outdoor lunch w/ friends. Excellent food. Would recommend!
