Paolo will share his story of his love for wine and how he began his journey to become a wine producer. Amazing food, best chicken enchiladas I have ever had. Liked the mole on top, reasonable portion, price on the high side but we already know it. My friend got the carme asada bowl and said it was delicious as well! The 2 hostess were very nice and accommodating when we asked to change table and be seated right by glass fence outside and admire the amazing view. It was a cloudy day but seating outside wasn’t too chilly not windy. We’ve been left alone almost the whole time, no one came asking hundreds questions, which I didn’t mind. Maybe they are understaffed, food took almost 30 mins tho

We came for my husband’s birthday and they were able to get us a table that was 1) outside (we waited about 10-15 min more but we were down for that) and 2) and a direct view of the skyline. They also gave us a birthday dessert upgrade and it was incredible. The hostess was so nice and took pictures of us. We would come back 100% when we visit again.

Had a great meal with a very attentive and helpful waitress- she was great! It wasn't packed so the noise level was great with our waterside table but I can imagine it getting very noisy out there. The views are unbeatable of the Downton skyline across the water and the food was truly outstanding. We started with the fresh guacamole and chips and it was delicious. The entrees were innovative and tasty as well.

Came here for the first time and I wasn’t disappointed. Great scenery and customer service was great. Jared helps us ( I hope I spelled his name right) and he was awesome. Definitely worth it especially if you’re going on a date 😬

Our 1st time experience at Coasterra started with a warm, friendly welcoming by the front desk hostess. We were promptly greeted by support staff with water, chips-n-salsa and notification our server would be with us shortly. Our server, Morgan, was a delight! The noise in the restaurant was loud and we had difficulty hearing her. She acknowledged and accommodated by using both ends of our table so we could all hear. She checked in regularly to ensure our needs/wants were being met, and was very attentive. The food was spectacular - prepared very well and in a unique manner to make it different than traditional Mexican fare. We were entertaining a relative from land-locked Colorado, so she particularly enjoyed the patio seating near the water. The weather wasn't cooperative but that is no fault of Coasterra. The only negative is that it was too loud making casual conversation difficult and challenging.

It was very easy to make reservations and to update the reservation when more needed to be accommodated. The food was delicious. We tried a variety of plates and it was consistent. The service was great and drinks were awesome too. The view is incredible! Parking had valet which was helpful but lots of parking was also available.

The view is wonderful. The food is just OK, but terribly overpriced. The service was terrific; attentive and friendly while not being invasive. The overwhelming feeling I was left with at the end of the meal was that I had been fleeced. That’s common at Cohn restaurants in my experience. I might return for the view, but there are better restaurants with better food with the same view in San Diego, so I probably won’t be going back.

We booked at the last minute. I was wary that this might be a “view” restaurant where the food sucked. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the view was lovely, the food was delicious, and the service was impeccable. I’ll definitely be back!

We thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience at the restaurant, thanks to the outstanding food and the exceptional service provided by our waiter. However, there was one minor issue regarding the table assignment. Despite making reservations in advance, we were initially seated at a table in the middle of the restaurant. It caught my attention that there was a lovely table for two available outside near the water, so I kindly asked if we could be relocated there. Unfortunately, the staff informed us that the table was being held for another reservation, and thus, moving us there was not possible. Surprisingly, throughout our entire time at the restaurant, that particular table remained unoccupied. The staff explained that requesting specific tables during the reservation process is not allowed, which is also mentioned as a policy on the OpenTable app. Despite this small inconvenience, the overall dining experience, including the quality of the food and the excellent service from our waiter, was highly enjoyable. While it is understandable that restaurants have their own policies and reasons for table assignments, it can be disappointing when a requested table remains unoccupied while you are seated elsewhere.

The food is always good. Our server, Erica, was outstanding. We sat inside at a table and still had a great view of San Diego’s skyline. The four of us decided to share four different appetizers, which were generous in size (there were leftovers!)

Used to love Coasterra. When you’re charged $51 for a scallops entree, there shouldn’t be a $5 “surcharge” on the bill. We got our beverages, cocktails after our meals arrived. Our server appeared over worked, was quite pleasant, but also quite absent. Used to love the elegant table side guacamole. That is no longer and the portion was very dumbed down. It’ll be a while till we go back😢

Mothers Day Buffet was phenomenal. 10/10, best buffet I have ever gone to. Everything was top notch. Gorgeous views, wish we had some better weather today but views of Downtown San Diego and Coronado can’t be beat!
