Conti Caffe Ratings and Reviews
Great food, great service, would go back again. The Ceasar salad was excellent
This was the third time we went to Conti caffe and as usual, the food was absolutely amazing!
Good food. Too bad the waiter seemed impatient and contemptuous and too bad that we did not have a choice but to leave an undeserved 15% tip.
Outstanding food and ambience, highly recommend! Risotto is amazing!
This is a restaurant that shares a kitchen with a much more high end place. Menu was reasonably priced, but frankly I expected better tasting food.
Relaxed yet elegant. Great variety and reasonable prices. Good wine menu. I had the scallop shrimp linguini. Parfait.
I picked this restaurant based on prior reviews as well as menu offerings. Its location was also very close to my hotel. I ordered the Osso Buco which was fabulous. The entire experience was outstanding. I wish I could return again!
Food was pretty tasteless. Calamari was tender enough but otherwise pretty bland. Pasta with hot Italian was plenty hot as far as the sausage goes but the sauce it was served with had no real taste. Chardonnay was not good. Cabernet so,so. Would not go back.
A real gem for Sunday lunch. Everything was perfect.
My favorite place to dine in Quebec. Fantastic !!
Nick, the maitre de is phenomenal. Pleasant and wants to make your dinner wonderful. Our server was Marie Chrystelle. She is perfection, fun friendly and perfect service. The food is prepared and presented extremely well. The combinations are exquisite. One of the best restaurants in Quebec. Period. The ambiance is cool and hip, the food is wonderful and the service is amazing. We will always go back to Conti.
We always visit Conti caffe whenever we come to Quebec City. Good food, fun atmosphere and a short walk from our hotel .
We would have liked this lively place more had the music not been so loud and our table not so central that there was a continual parade of diners and wait staff past our table. As it was, the food is pretty good and the atmosphere is warm. There's an extensive wine list, identical to that in the affiliated upper end restaurant next door. There are a number of reasonable selections here, but bottles topping out at $7500 can also be found.
Michaelle was a terrific server! She was attentive but not overbearing. She also was patient as were dismayed by being seated near crying, loud and obnoxious children whose parents seemed oblivious to their horrid behavior.
We ordered a nice bottle of French pinot noir; trying to wait for the rude children and their bad-behavior allowing patents to dine and leave.
After 30 minutes we ordered the French onion soup, which was flavorful and cheesy, as well as the beef vegetable soup that was very tasty. The accompanying bread array was wonderful.
After another 30 minutes we ordered the house salad. It was full of fresh greens and delectable cucumbers and vegetables.
The rude diners finally left....much to the joy of us and the tables around us.
We ordered a second bottle of wine with our entrees.
The rack of lamb was exquisite as was the osso bucco with a side of pasta.
For dessert, the cappucino cake provided a sweet ending.
Such a fine restaurant should find a way to curb poor behavior by dining families or not allow children under 10 to dine after 6 pm.
Considering we had such remarkable service the night before at Le Continentel, we were appalling surprised how the same owner could deliver such different experiences. In the 65 minutes we were there, we finished a half a bottle of wine and two cups of soup. Our server was rude, confrontational and just nasty. When I told her no.more wine, she poured it anyway and shrugged her shoulders. When we questioned where our meals were at saying we had been at the restaurant for over an hour and others had been served, she lied and said we only ordered 30 minutes ago. Two cups of already prepared soup didn't justify 65 minutes for the main courses to arrive. We eventually asked to leave and skip dinner. She was belligerent. The manager eventually came by and apologized but not until after she made a scene. Perhaps she was rude because we were English speaking...she seemed to be attentive to other tables. After reading reviews when we got back, this issue and likely this server gas done this before. Stay away! It was very upsetting to be treated this way.
Had dinner with family of four here and food was fabulous. Service from primary server was pretty weak, but manager was very nice. No specific complaint. Would return.
A little pricey on wines.
In a word: stellar.
Exceptional dining experience. The meals were delicious and just the right portions. Great ambiance. Highly recommend it. You can't go wrong with Conti
The Conti caffe was recommended by the owner of the AirBNB that we were stating at. We were looking forward to a great meal but were disappointed. The service was just fair. My partner ordered the crab pasta dish which wasn't bad and I ordered the seafood linguine which tasted like the scallops were frozen and dry.
Restaurant is a real gem. Feels small and intimate but is really good sized. Wait staff matches the food---outstanding!
We really enjoyed the food. Their black cod on risotto was out of this world. The wild mushroom risotto was wonderful as well. We had a good bottle of wine (although they did not have our first choice). The tuna tartar appetizer was really well done.
Lastly, we each had a dessert, which we never do. We would go back again, and again. This is a must when spending some time in Quebec City. The service was good as was the vibe.
Excellent spot in the heart of Quebec on the main street through town. Great food and service, and fun to watch the people walk by through the open windows to the street. Not too expensive and a good pick on any night of the week.
No air and no response to request
I enjoyed this place very much. The food and service were great.
Great Italian food in a lovely restaurant in the middle of the tourist area. Reservations needed. Nice place to go near the Chateau Frontenac. but without the frenzy of some of the other nearby restaurants. Great service. Highly recommended!
Went to Quebec City for a weekend and discovered a paradise for foodies. Cotti's is definitely one of the gems the city has to offer.
The restaurant is great and this was our 2nd visit. The food, ambiance, service were excellent and the prices were very reasonable. It was an evening well spent. We will definitely return in the future.
Service was very good and accommodating. We had reservation for 3 but had 6 when we arrived. The restaurant found a way to seat us timely even though very busy. Food was very good as well. The group was pleased and the dishes included shrimp, scallops, osso buco plus a fish. All good.
Merci!
Tuna tartare and mozzarella wrap prosciutto are winners. The boar chop was cooked perfectly. The veal with brie was creative and was executed well. Finish with the maple syrup pie! The servers were very attentive. I'm going back whenever I come back to QC.
Food was great. I really enjoyed the atmosphere. The service was very friendly. Perfect place for my last dinner of vacation.
We had the filet mignon with the lobster risotto - it was really good. The service was good but the appetizers only arrived 45 minutes after we ordered them.
I would definitely recommend the place if someone is not in a hurry and wants good, affordable food.
All delicious and exciting new tastes. Great presentation.
Previous experience at this restaurant much better. Waiter got the order wrong and service not up to par. For a nice restaurant they really should provide cloth napkins and a better bread selection. Lamb chops were very nicely prepared.
Service was really good, nice looking restaurant but the food was a solid average.
We were delighted with our dinner at Conti Caffe. Our server, Philip, was knowledgeable and attentive, enhancing our experience. A lovely way to spend our last evening in Quebec City.
Excellent meal, service superior, everything other reviews said validated.
Would go again.
Everything was winderful. Great food service and ambience
Sûrement pas une bonne soirée car 3 des 4 mets décevants
A perfect restaurant w/exceptional service & food. Another diamond for Quebec City!
