My family had a great time at Conti's. The food and service were very good. It is a bit pricey, so this would be more of a special occasion place; not an average evening out kind of place. We visited on our last night in Quebec. The location is great and the atmosphere very nice. We made reservations on the early side and it was mid-week, so it was very quiet when we arrived. We started with cocktails (for 5 people), ordered 2 appetizers (entrees) to share, we each ordered dinner, shared 1 dessert plus a couple of coffees and glasses of wine and had no difficulty spending well over $400.00. So just be prepared.
But it was worth it, and we would likely go again.
The lobster roll special and the lobster and asparagus risotto was VERY good!
Delightful Italian restaurant, lovely ambiance, excellent service. The bocconcini and tomato salad beautifully presented in a shaped Parmesan crisp Pasta was perfectly cooked, the veal was tender and flavourful. My daughter’s salmon was exceptional. Overall our meals were outstanding as we returned a second time.
Great service and great food easy walk from Fairmont.
Get there several times, never been disapointed or deceived. Food is excellent and staff is very friendly. Recommended, really.
My husband and I visit Quebec City several times a year, but this is the first time we tried Conti Caffe. We were pleased with our choice. The menu has a nice selection of Italian creations, some with creative twists. Beef carpaccio served just like they would in Italy---paper thin, with capers and fresh lemon and parmesan--was my husband's delicious choice. I had the proscuitto-wrapped jumbo shrimp atop a fresh mango salsa. Very tasty! Penne with sausage was not the most ambitious choice for my husband, but he said it was good. The fresh snow crab tossed with perfectly al dente spaghetti in butter sauce with fennel and dill was SUPERB! Wine list is impressive, and has a great selection in all price points. The housemade sorbet was wonderful for dessert. The dining room is comfortable with a nice vibe. I liked the juxtaposition of the old stone walls mixed with modern art. Servers were polite and well trained, working seamlessly as a team. The windows opened to the outside, and it was pleasant to watch the parade of people walk by while we were having dinner. All in all, it was a nice evening out. We would certainly recommend Conti Caffe when visiting Quebec City!
We enjoyed the food, atmosphere and service. The modern decor was a nice change compared to other restaurants in the old city. Both our dishes were wonderful. All around great experience.
Our waitress Menika was amazing, she was honest about the food and gave great suggestions, you could tell she knew what she was talking about and made our evening better than expected. The food was very tasty and the ambiance was nice and relaxing.
Superbe soirée et merci de nous avoir permis de jaser calmement et longtemps
sans jamais un geste d'empressement !
Wonderful experience for our first night of vacation in Quebec
I really liked the exposed brick in the restaurant. It gave it an edgy vibe. The service is friendly and attentive. The food is outstanding. We had the lamb chops which were excellent and my husband had the snow crab spaghetti which was so flavorful. The music was a little loud especially when the restaurant filled up quickly making it a little difficult to converse.Overall the menu has something for everyone and the wine selection is great.Expect to pay around $150-200 for 2 people.I would definitely recommend this restaurant for a special occasion.
Very ordinary food..nothing special nether in the taste and presentation....dessert not frech confirm by serveur
Great food and fast service.
Food and service both very good. Second visit and glad we went back!
Lovely decor and great food. We had a party of 6 for dinner and were very impressed. Will definitely go again when we're in town next.
The ravioli was the best I've ever had. Great bread basket! Loved my meal. I had cancelled the day before since I was not close by. Ate at another restaurant in old Quebec and the hostess said "oh you should try to get to Cafe Conti... it is very good!" So I came the next night.
We ate at the Conti Cafe on Christmas Eve and it was decorated very festively for the holiday. We ate early, so it wasn't too crowded at first but filled up while we were there and got noisier. The tables were pretty close together (not sure if that is usual) so privacy was lacking, but the overall experience was really nice. The architecture, decor and location of the restaurant are outstanding and the food and service were excellent.
It was simple to make the reservation. We arrived hungry and cold and were immediately taken good care of. The food we had was excellent-try the risottos. My husband had the duck risotto which he loved, and I had the mushroom risotto which was very good and just what we needed to warm up.
Nourriture excellente, les viandes cuites à point
Très bon service, bel accueil
Quick pizza location near the hotel. We were seated quickly, local beer on tap, food and service were both great.
Our party of six all thought our menu choices were quite good. The service was excellent and we all liked the decor and the music choices.
I reserved at Conti because of Valet parking service and thinking it would offer brunch menu. The car valet arrived more than an hour after we arrived, so we had to park far from the restaurant. There was no brunch or any breakfast item available at 11h00 on a Sunday. Service was done by staff whom seem to wake up from a bad hangover. Finally, it's was way overpriced for the offer. Avoid.
Great food but ambiance suffered from TV on over the bar showing sports. There did not appear to be anyone watching. The lamb shank was one of the best I have ever had. Its on the fixed prix menu but you can order it separately.
Good wine list but hard to find a bottle under $50
Conti Caffe was recommended to us by friends and it happenend to be one of the best suggestions we've had in years. The food and service were excellent. I've had one of the best carpaccio ever and outstanding penne.
too bad the waitress extinguished all the candles around us at 22:30..I guess she wanted us to leave
She also forgot her authentic smile at home and replaced it with a "weird" smile
Great ambience, superb service, fun décor, excellent wine, wonderful food ~ we highly recommend this restaurant. In fact, we loved it so much that we returned the next night! We only wish it were closer so we could try all the different menu items.
Très beau restaurant au coeur du vieux Québec. Ambiance feutrée !
This is our first trip to Quebec City so we took a recommendation from people we met at our hotel and went to Conti Caffe. It is in the old town section and is very quaint and romantic with old stone walls and subdued lighting. We were seated near a window and loved the view of the street. The menu is diverse enough to accommodate a variety of palates, and the wine list seems adequate. We had mushroom risotto, and a grilled scallop/shrimp plate with rice and steamed veggies. Excellent tasting and we were very satisfied!
Great food but terrible waiter. Disappointed because I’ve been here before and it was fantastic all around.
Absolutely amazing! The combinations of flavours were outstanding. Every course was delightful. The staff was extremely welcoming and polite. I loved the atmosphere. The restaurant is incredibly relaxing.
Nice, quiet, friendly service, good food right in Old Quebec.
Restaurant was decent. Highlight was the endive salad. Service was fine. Definitely felt like a tourist restaurant.
Great food, great service, would go back again. The Ceasar salad was excellent
This was the third time we went to Conti caffe and as usual, the food was absolutely amazing!
Good food. Too bad the waiter seemed impatient and contemptuous and too bad that we did not have a choice but to leave an undeserved 15% tip.
Outstanding food and ambience, highly recommend! Risotto is amazing!
