    We had the Drunken Shrimp appetizer and it was delicious. We were able to talk within our table of 4 with no noise problems. Very nice atmosphere before the Holidays. Thanks for a Great lunch experience.

    We had a party of eight of all ages. Our server was a delight and attentive. Our meals were served as we requested. The food was delicious. One person in our group asked for Diet Coke. He didn’t realize it until the next day, that he possibly was given Regular Coke-a-Cola. However, we cannot prove or disprove this case. There are a wide range of meal prices, so you can choose what category you prefer, yet find what you want to eat. The kids meal selections are wonderful because of the varieties available. Our table was surrounded by smaller tables of 2 to 4 occupants. We may have not been as quiet as those around us. I might suggest that a large party such as ours be placed where we might not disturb others at the more quiet tables.

    If you are a celiac or need to be gluten free this is probably not the place for you. While they offer a gluten free menu, it was clear that not a single staff member was educated in taking precautions or understood what gluten free means. After explaining that my wife needed a gluten free menu and could not consume anything with gluten, we still had numerous issues. First, they brought out bread… not gluten free, but they eventually brought out some gluten free bread after a couple of reminders. Then the appetizer (which was ordered from the Gluten Free Menu) came out with won-tons, which are not gluten free… the issue here was the appetizer was on the regular menu and the gluten free menu, but the description on the gluten free version excluded the won-tons. The simple solution would be to have one version of the appetizer that is GF, or change the name so they cannot be confused. Finally, we ordered a Caesar Salad, but clearly stated NO croutons. Unfortunately, the salad came out covered in croutons.. threw strikes. It was such a horrible experience that even though the food was good, it was overshadowed by poor service, and not necessarily by our server. He tried to make it right, but with each misstep, it just got worse. This was supposed to be our anniversary celebration, but looks like we will have to try again elsewhere. Full disclosure, the manager comped the entire meal, but we would have rather had an enjoyable experience.

    The evening was very nice, with good food and the barrel reserve wine was delicious. The only minus was the length of time it took some food items to get to us from the kitchen. Will definitely go back. More menu items I want to try.

    Our experience was very good as always. If I have one concern it is the noise level that seems to always exist in the main dining areas. While I expect a louder volume when it is busy, it sometimes reminds me of a cafeteria environment which last night is first time I found myself thinking of a more calm alternative of CH. We are long time CH customers and probably will remain so but a constant high noise level could influence are future choices. Thank you.

    Reservation was at 7 PM. We arrived at 6 for the wine tasting. There was an extremely long line and those tasting were taking their time for example, a large group of six just standing with empty glasses, while the rest of us watched like they were at a bar.. . this is not Cooper’s Hawk’s problem, but seems to be a new issue every month when we arrive. The food prices have increased while the portion size have decreased. We are members and as always amazing service.

    The appetizers outshine the overpriced entrees. Wine is always good. Service and food wait times are still extended so suspect understaffing/overbooking continues, so be patient. Out of the wine I wanted to purchase. Should be in today supposedly. So wine & apps are the best bet!

    Restaurant was very busy so needed to be a little more patient than normal as it took a little longer to receive our food. Server overall did a good job taking care of us refilling our waters, bringing us wine tastings and checking on our needs in between all the tables he was covering. Three of the four of us ordered the life balance turkey burger meals and since it’s one of our go to meals almost every time we come we found it to be overcooked this time so it was dryer than normal so a little disappointing this trip. Fruit was more sparce than normal as well with only 3 pieces of pineapple and one blackberry. We still enjoyed our wine tastings in the tasting room and at the table and our meals were still enjoyable but didn’t leave an impression that we are accustomed to at both the indy and Avon locations. We will be back and wont let one imperfect meal keep us from Enjoying many other meals ahead.

    Where to begin…. (Chronological order) “Special” menu for Thanksgiving. No choices, but appetizer/ main / desert all sounded great so we made a reservation Seated and immediately informed that they were out of the app (squash soup). Talk about poor math skills! Anyway- 3 options- salad or 2 other soups. Wife choose salad, I selected a bisque. Then they brought out drink …. And 2 minutes later announced they brought the wrong one Seated a couple (AND THEIR DOG) next to us Dog on a retractable leash so under my feet in 2 minutes Wife gets salad, bisque soon to follow…. Or not 10 minutes later waitress informs us that they ran out of bisque. Told her we just wanted to pay for the drink and leave. Never saw her again. Could have/ should have just walked out but left more than enough cash for the drink and tax Zero stars should be an option (or maybe a black hole)

    Every category was checked at 4 stars, because we can’t rate anything 4.5 stars … and overall, we’re comfortable reporting a 5-star experience overall. There were a few minor but noted negative issues (it was a challenge getting the soup served hot), however, a few minor but notable praiseworthy elements, as well. . The first — very appreciated — was that the food we had was NOT one bit over-salted, which really is found far too often in restaurants. As we had chosen to have the Prix Fixe Thanksgiving meal, this counted for a lot of the pleasure. Every food served was delicious, nicely prepared, cooked, presented; we actually shook a little bit of salt into the delicious soup — just a bit, but felt it was a joy to do so, as it was so pleasant to be served NOT-over-salted food. The white meat of the turkey had been brined with maybe a bit too much salt, but it was still tender & delicious enough to not fuss over. A good value, as well … we had enough left to pack up for home, thus not missing out on turkey sandwiches the following day. Also, the dessert, a pumpkin cheesecake, was excellent — and one of us is not a cheesecake fan, not until tasting theirs. Big pieces — again, enough to take home half. This is perhaps the third time in a few reasonably long (so far) lifetimes that we elected to go to a restaurant for Thanksgiving, instead of prepping & cooking at home (because of an unusual & temporary small number of guests this year). We might make this a tradition when we have only four or five in our party, & no little ones. We still had a lovely hors d’oevres hour at home, plus a few pies baked (as we didn’t know if the cheesecake would do the trick) & ready for the evening at home. However, having most of the work done for us, especially as the food was delicious, very nicely prepared (& no salt bombs — yay!), & traditional, makes Cooper’s Hawk a truly good option in the future.

    On what was a very busy holiday, the team at Cooper’s Hawk made it a very enjoyable experience. We had a reservation and got seated right away. Our server Gabby was great. Despite handling a lot of customers she made it seem like we were her only table. The food was excellent. The atmosphere comfortable. A good day to be at Cooper’s Hawk.

    Thanksgiving lunch was fabulous. The food was amazing, our server was so friendly, and our afternoon was phenomenal. We had more time to enjoy drinks and conversation with each other. We will be back soon.

    Cooper's Hawk is one of our favorites. Great food, great service, pleasant atmosphere. We're getting a bit older, and our appetite isn't what it once was, so we really appreciate the lunch size portions, available 7 days per week.

    We had dinner reservations for 8:15 pm to celebrate a birthday. We arrived @ 8:05 pm, checked in, and had to go back @ 8:30 pm after they forgot about us. Food was slow to come out and it was obvious most main entrees had been sitting for awhile. Most definitely a disappointment given the excitement of the event.
