Copacabana Brazilian Steakhouse - Adelaide (Downtown)
Your experience at Copacabana begins with a trip to our "Galleria" where you will be tempted by fresh baked breads and dips from our open concept bakery; fresh cheeses cut from the wheel, and expertly hand sliced charcuterie selections. Help yourself to as much crisp salads and colorful starters you want, but leave room: Your experience is just beginning.
Back at your table our Gauchos or Carvers will service you with a feast of various CAB (Certified Angus) grilled meats prepared in a number of ways. Simply tell your carver how you prefer your meat, (most come medium rare) and leave the rest to us!
There is only one small task for you...As your Gaucho is Cutting at your table, use your provided tongs to simply grasp the top slab of meat and assist as he thinly slices a perfect cut of meat onto your plate, enjoy…and repeat as many times as you like!

The staff flying around with the meats were amazing. The servers responsible for replenishing drinks, dessert, etc were very disappointing. Server didn’t come around often and had a 15 min wait for second drink and 10-15 min wait to ask for dessert menu when we were done
We enjoyed all of the different dishes especially the chicken with parmesan. I would highly recommend that if you want a nice meal you try them out 5 stars
Good restaurant, great service, good food. A little expensive though
Loved the atmosphere and the food was great as well
First time going there, lady at the front desk sat us down and then left. We only had drink menus on the table. No one came to ask us if we wanted water or drinks or anything. Every waiter kept passing us by, we sat there for about 30 min before I pulled a waiter aside and asked if we could get water and how we could get food. She finally informed us and we went to grab our own plates. The lady that sat us down should have informed us on how the restaurant works, you can’t just assume everyone knows. And the lady or someone should have at least asked us if we wanted water or anything to drink at least. It was a disaster.
The entire staff was rather unprofessional and made it clear they had no desire to be at work. The manager tried to do her best however, the experience was not good
It was my birthday and as soon as I finished eating I felt unwell and the
The food is great, but there were often big gaps between servers coming around despite us having a table near the kitchen.
At the start if the night, our server dropped an entire tray of drinks on us. They comped the first round of drinks and moved us to a less busy space. The new server checked in and asked us what we wanted to send our way, but even with that there were gaps in service. Being soaked and needing dry cleaning, the one comped round was appreciated but would have expected more given the regular cost of drinks and food. The manager did not follow up with us during the meal.
The hostess was not very friendly or welcoming, both when I called to confirm my reservation & when my guests and I arrived. Everyone has off days, but as the first contact at the restaurant, it's not a great impression.
Copa can be a great night out, but there is definitely room for improvement on the guest experience side to compete with other steak houses and restuarants in downtown Toronto at the same price point.
There was no macaroni left and my bread was awfully cold
I went there for my husband birthday and 1 witress spit red sangria all over my husband sweater, jackets and Jeans. She didn't even say sorry so we talked to the manager and they gave us free for sangria. Not for all food. the food was actually good but after that we didn't even taste nothing.
It felt like a strip club at times and also waited for meat forever it seemed at times.
Went there for a birthday celebration and received awful service, also we got very very little meat as they were too busy. Won't be repeating.
Cool experience but all the meat was very salty. Expensive for what it is.
Was very fun experience and def will come back /the staff needs to come to the table with the meat more often and not skip tables / as well as they should clear plates more often and provide new ones
We were a group of 8 and servers weren't coming as often and even when they did they wouldnt have enough meat to serve all of us. It was not a very pleasant service.
My husband and I only get a chance to go to Copacabana maybe once a year for our anniversary so we were really looking forward to it. We got there and were sat right away and our server came and took our drink order which was great. After that the buffet side dishes seemed to have changed which was disappointing since I only eat a few options and those were not available during our dinner. Also there are 10 meat options that are supposed to come around periodically but through the entire dinner we only had 4 different ones come to our table repeatedly. After about an hour My son started to get restless so we had to leave before getting to enjoy anything else. Not sure if we will be returning unfortunately.
Great service from Ana! She was friendly attentive and professional!
All 4 of us got sick that night from the food and would not ever recommend this place. Service was atrocious as well, go somewhere else!
I’ve been here frequently now, and the ONLY reason why I keep returning is because of the location. I love Copacabana but this Copacabana Location (Adelaide) is the worst. Their servers here always seem to skip my table, and it happens frequently, on many occasions. We’ve eyed many servers, while our plates were empty hoping people would come by and serve us, but they would serve the tables to the left and right of us, but skip us and head elsewhere. And after serving a few more people in our area, they would have to return to the kitchen and cook some more. It’s quite annoying because when they do come back, they skip us again.
So food is great, because it’s consistent (albeit sometimes cold by the time someone finally reaches us) but it’s good. My only issue here is that servers need to find some sort of..... way to ensure they reach every table. It’s unfair to be skipped so many times when they have a “2hr limit.”
The meats here are very good! Flavourful + tender...my family really enjoyed dining here!
I would recommend to try at least one time but it's overrated and not as good as it seems.
Our host was lovely and took care of us but some waiters were just rude. Refusing the cut we asked for several time and/or ignoring sometime.
Don't go there if you expect to speak up as it's super loud and you can barely each other. On top of that, there was 0 air and it was super hot in it.
Awesome for everything. No complaint. Would definitely go back
excellent food and show only downfall was the wait even though we had a reservation.
Cadre vraiment chic, personnel souriant et accueillant. La nourriture est vraiment bonne.
This restaurant was so fun! The service was great (we particularly loved Tristan) and the food was fantastic. If you are a meat-lover, don't fill up on the sides. We will be back!
Honestly the food was terrible, we were really looking forward to trying this restaurant and were let down severely.
Neither of us ate anything but a few bites of our food. The server took away full plates of food without asking if there was issues when we asked for the bill, maybe 15 minutes into being there.
I mentioned to her that the food was terrible and we were really disappointed by the entire situation.. Her response was I’m just the cashier, sorry.
So I would not suggest this place to anyone.
This was our first experience with what is called a Brazilian Steakhouse Rodizio in Canada. After quite a research, I decided to go to the original location of the Copacabana, which was also showing the best reviews overall. Now, we opted for an earlier reservation - 4:30 pm so that we could beat the dinner rush, and I was very surprised that, based on the reservation count for that times-slot, they don't look prepared for the amount of business. We clearly noticed a lag between the meats being served, and every time something would come out, the fact that they are playing "catch-up," everything was undercooked (which I understand is a matter of preference), but you cannot expect that cuts being served rare and medium-rare would appeal to everyone. Highlights of this experience were the Cheese Bread and Corn Bread, which would come around warm right from the oven. The bakery station was good, salad station was a little confusing, especially when you find Caesar Salad with onions on it, the hot food tables was OK, nothing out of the ordinary. Please keep in mind that I am basing my experience with many previous visits to this type of restaurant, and the "last straw" it was the fact that they don't even offer any type of Sausages and Chicken Hearts on the rodizio: these are staples of the Brazilian Rodizio and you cannot call yourself (and charge like one) if you don't offer these. Our waitress was very pleasant and she was always keeping with our table, bussing plates and everything but, another low point for me it was the fact that when I made the reservation on Open Table, I stated that was my wife's' birthday celebration and not during a single point of this dinner that was addressed. I was not looking for a free-desert or anything like that; every place has its own policies about that, however, if they don't offer anything, at least I should be pulled aside and asked how I would like to address that celebration if I wanted to order a dessert and have a candle.
When the show starts the music becomes unbearably loud and for what? The dancing is not really entertaining, just let a guy eat.
Food and service a really good with many service people available at all times to either service drinks or bring over the meat in Brazilian style.
The dancers show in Samba dancing were a nice surprise and a good attraction if one arrives with children as well.
Extremely disappointing, first time I’ve ever received such terrible service at this establishment. I let the staff know I cannot eat meat unless it’s fully cooked (sensitive stomach) over the course of my meal I only got 4 pieces of meat as dinner (not work the price of the meal). The lady who came to our table to give us the bill seemed like she had all the life sucked out of her and couldn’t even be bothered to say “here you go” when handing over the machine.
We went to celebrate my brothers birthday, Service was good from the beginning but at the end I expected to have a birthday cake that I requested prior our meal, but we never got it.
Hope you guys can put more attention in details like this
Thank you for the great service
Food was delicious, service was great all round great restaurant to go with friends family or even on a date
We arrived for our reservation at 9pm and were not seated at our table until 9:30. We had a large group of 10 people and everyone was there. When booking it warns that there is a 2 hour time limit and the table before us was not finished yet. Once we were seated, it took forever for the server to bring us water, and then she forgot glasses. We sat there for another 20 minutes with no water glasses or plates to get started. Once we started getting served the food was great, as always. We finished up and had the pineapple and were waiting a long time to have our plates cleared. Finally after having our plates cleared the server came back to ask if we were still waiting on the pineapple. We said no we were finished and would like our bills. We sat there for another 30 minutes waiting for our bills. It was also very very hot where we were sitting and was not a great experience overall.
I had an OK evening, but when the bill dropped on the table I almost had a small heart attack, and was very upset. TO EXPENSIVE and ended up ruining my night!! Also I think it’s to load , I would prefer to spend the evening a bit more quieter so I could enjoy it and be able to talk to the other person without having to yell... they could also preform more often the show for the price that’s being paid. The service was great the people are nice.
The experience was ok I will not go there again nor I will recommend Copacabana. Sorry not sorry.
great service, very professional, meat perfectly cooked. highly recommend this location
The food was good in general. However the severs skipped our table constantly, we were waiting for a particular cut of meat and the sever passed by our table 4 times and just skipped it.
The experience was okay.
The food tastes very good but the amount of meat that you get for the $60 was not worth it. The meat service was slow and they felt understaffed. It's great for the experience not for the value.
Love this place. Been going here since they opened...Always great meat and consistent so you know what your gonna get when you go.
