The food was excellent with a great selection and a continuous service of meats being brought to the table. The ambiance was very energetic and surprising to see a great number out on a Sunday night! Family enjoyed the experience as it was a first for a few in the group. We celebrated my birthday on the day of and the management paid for the meal! Could not have been a better gift. Definitely will be visiting back again and recommending it to the friends.
It has been a great place to go when it opened, now is very run down
Not a lot of choices to chose from in the salad bar, even the ones that were on display dishes were almost Empty
Meat carvers do not come around as much
Or only one carver with same meat over and over.
When addressed the issue to the Menager sorry is a busy night was his response
No thank you!
I rather spent my hard earned money somewhere else.
Really good place to eat and have a good time! The hostess was ok, the servers were quick.
It's lively and fun place for a special occasion. Great place for meat lovers.
The food was delicious, our waitress was great, the music was amazing. Food service is a little slow - we had to keep asking to have someone sent over. But other than that it was a great experience.
Place went downhill
Not enough walkers with the meat
Selection of meats have gone down
Would not go back
Birthday. Absolutely love this place.
We are regular customers at this location and this time, the food was not great. Most of the neat was too rare/ raw/undercooked. We asked for a few of our meat preferences (ie. chimmi churri, etc) and it was ignored on several occasions. By the time it was brought out -we were about to leave.
This venue’s buffet bar is not like Eglinton’s venue.
Eglinton has more food to choice.
But the meat’s quality is same.
I went in for dinner with my boyfriend on Wednesday November 13th. Once we were seated nobody came to the table to take our drinks orders. We waited 15 minutes still an uninterested waitress came to take our orders. She asked if we had been there before, we said yes. She turned around and walked away without saying anything. We got up to get some food from the buffet. All the hot food was cold and there was barely any bread left. We then sat down and waited another 15 minutes till our first meat came around. After that we didn’t get any more meat for another 10 minutes. A manager came by and asked how we were doing and I mentioned that we have yet to receive any meat. He said he would work on it. We waited another 5 minutes till we received meats. We started getting meat serve but only the end pieces. Sometimes when an individual cam by with meat there wasn’t even enough for 2 of us. They said they would be back and never did. Our waitress never came back to ask how we were doing till the last 5 minutes left of our meal. I then asked for the cheque. She went and got it and gave it to me without saying a word. After looking at the bill the name of our waitress was Jazzmine. She does not want to be at her job. The service was terrible. I will think twice before going back to this location again and spending my money for dinner. This was not worth 50$ a person.
Honestly - it was our first time - 15 people reservation. Wait staff was friendly. However it took so long for the meat to come around...salmon came at the end of the meal. For the money we paid ($50.00/pp) I could have gone somewhere else and had more value for the money.
I would recommend this restaurant, however I ask other clients to look at the payment screen before paying
I loved, the place is amazing,but expense!!!😱😱😱
First time for our friends. They really enjoyed it and will definitely be back
Great concept, however, a drawback is the added gratuity on the bill. Although that wouldn't stop me from dining there again, dinner could wind up being very pricey! Overall, amazing food; service was more than you could ask for; dancers, very professional and synchronized!
Meats did not come by as often, would come around every 5-10 minutes. Very often would always pass us and we would be provided with whatever was leftover after their "route" and it would never would be enough for the entire table. Servers would often converse with each other while at our table.
It is expensive for what is offered. The meats are okay, but I cannot say that I had a great experience. As a Brazilian, a “gaúcho”, I would not return and spend over 100 dollars. The buffet does have anything special. Copacabana has a Brazilian name, but it is not offering real Brazilian food. I would never pay 40$ only for that buffet, it does not worthy
This place is hands down the best Steakhouse I have ever been too. You get a wide variety of meats and a mini buffet which is totally worth the price. Whereas The Keg, Ruth's, Canyon Creek, Earls and elsewhere you pay alot for a small piece. Aside from that really good service and friendly staff. Overall this place is the greatest Steakhouse of all time.
When opening meat service should be available right away. Opening time is no surprise and guest should not have to wait for 15 to 20 minutes until the meat is ready.
For a restaurant like this and the price guest pay this should be a no brained
Other than that, food is very good!
Drove 4hrs to have dinner here just to be disappointed in the end. I’ve eaten here before and was always impressed but this time around it was as if our meat carver got fired as we sat down. We barely had anyone come to our table with meat and I told our waitress a few times that we felt as we were being “ignored” as everyone else around us were having food brought to their tables except for us. Our waitress was apologetic and kept saying how “they will be coming around” which they rarely did. When we did get service we didn’t get much as for variety the employees kept coming to us with chicken only got a couple of pieces of beef in over 1hr of getting our table.
Wasn't worth our 135$ bill and left hungry. Very disappointed as this was suppose to be the highlight of our trip.
This is our second time in this location, the first time we were impressed and satisfied. Today the girl at the front desk was very rude when we said that we had a reservation for a booth. Also an hour and half in we had missed quite a few dishes and had to specifically ask for them so we could try them before we leave.
I would not recommend to book at 4pm. Apparently You have to wait until the meat is done. We were served our first set of meat at 4:47! Honestly, if you guys open at 4, we, customers assume you have everything ready by that time! Food is amazing but is a waste of time and money if you have to wait 47 minutes to get served. Never book at 4 pm! Just try anytime after 5 pm and you will be okay.
Over priced for average food.
First time dining here, it’s definitely an option if you’re wanting to try something different. The dancers, music etc. It was however VERY loud. Even without a performance going on. The buffet was decent with several options. The meat they bring around every so often and literally give you a teeny tiny piece to sample basically. I was kind of disappointed about that. Our waitress was a tad rude, she always seemed to be in a rush which is understandable to a degree but she paid very little to no attention to us. When asked to take our picture she also couldn’t even do that..... all the pictures were ruined and blurry after she made a comment to my husband about the fact that he should have had his phone out and ready so she didn’t have to wait ..... Overall it was different! The food was okay. Not worth the hype in my opinion. I won’t go back.
Took forever at the front to check in for our reservations. Then we were seated at a table with dirty menus and our table when we asked to move we were first told no they didn’t have a server for anywhere else. Once the server came we asked to move again and she looked into it and was happy to move us. Our server was fantastic however that is all that was fantastic. The buffet style menu selections were ok but not fantastic accompaniment for meat in my personal opinion. The first person came and sliced was 2 tiny pieces of meat for the 2 of us and left then the next person came along and we asked for more steak and was finally given a decent amount however I found it very salty. No dessert was ever presented as even an option for us. The bill came and it was crazy expensive for what it was we each had 1 cocktail and just the dinner and it was over $150. We have eaten at many restaurants especially in fine dining and this was way over priced for what it was. We would definitely not be returning and would not recommend this to any of our friends.
Staff were great and polite, but the fact that they charge $25 to cut my own cake it’s a total SCAM. Talked to the manager about this absurd policy and his response was “other restaurants are applying this fee” which I never heard of.
This was my last time in a Copacabana.
Amazing time definitely coming back
Great value and lots of delicious beef and chicken plates. The salad and hot bar was not that amazing, not a huge selection. But overall a good experience.
I decided to come to this location to celebrate my mom's birthday. The service wasn't terrible from our waitress but the food wasn't the greatest and I had to ask for service as our table was being ignored. Giving the layout of the restaurant where some tables are tucked away it would be smart if management reminds staff to service all tables not just the one's in the open.
Service was mediocre. I found a hair in my moms dessert and it was her birthday. I was surprised that they still kept it on the bill considering that she didn’t even want it anymore after seeing the hair.
I enjoy Copa very much, this is for sure my least favourite location. Service was beyond poor...had to literally continue to ask the servers to bring over meat, they would constantly would pass our table. Also it was birthday and I also wrote it in the notes when booking...no birthday dessert or server to come over with sparklers.
Great food and overall experience as usual
Everyone is given a 2 hr time limit. At the 1.5 hr mark, the staff started taking away our plates and limiting us on the amount of food we got... not good, especially if we are paying $50 for the meal..
Went here for the first time have been to both the other locations and was not impressed at all. Waited over 20 minutes for someone to greet us at our table. Booked through the app for 9:30 and they called me before asking me to come for 9. Came in at 9 and did not get served or had anyone talked to us till about 9:30. Don’t know why we rushed to get there if this was the case. Also felt like I was kinda rushed out, was only served a few meats then told its last call were closing up soon. Not very impressed don’t think I’ll be back to this location
Food was great, service was mediocre. The waitress had a bit of attitude and the carvers only came for the first 30 mins then stopped coming to our table entirely. In order to get served we had to wave them down, and even so it required several times requesting more for them to actually bring it.
Copacabana Steakhouse is just great. Food is amazing and staff is very friendly. Yes, it is noisy, as any Brazilian restaurant out there. I missed French fries and cheese pastel, and unfortunately our reservation was for 2 hours only. I would definitely stay there for 6h non-stop. Cheers
We love this place and go often. This time was my wife’s 40th birthday. We had a reservation for 3 and they put us outside which had a bad draft so we asked to move which they accommodated. However they put us in a booth by the back which we actually like and have sat there before. The issue we had was that the meats slowed down a lot from past visits. There were two points in our two hour sitting that not a single person came by for 15 minutes or more. We were assured by the waitress they were coming but nobody really arrived. Requested parmesean chicken three times and when they finally came with it there was only one on the skewer I gave to my wife and we had to request again. This was our worst experience with this restaurant. We love the place and go often. They knew it was my wife’s birthday didn’t offer anything, most restaurants would give a candle with a cupcake or cake or something. Just didn’t happen. The staff were friendly and amazing but the food volume failed on this one for an all you can eat at a premium price.
We weren't served with meat for first 10-15minutes.
It was good after tho.
