I booked a table at 8:30 and arrived at 8:20. I was, via the use of cattle prodders (joking, but you get the sentiment) into a holding area with another circa 50 hopeful souls.
At 8:40, 8:50 and 9:10 I enquired to when I would be seated only to be told hopefully soon, no communication, if you could organise chaos this would be it.
The buffet was a long below par, the cold salad looked as though it had been there days and in my opinion wasn’t healthy. The warm buffet was disorganised and didn’t look edible.
We waited another 18 minutes before the first slice of meat hit my plate. The meat was good and the servers good. On cleaning up the service reverted to type and was disgraceful as food was dropped and left around my seating area. Customer satisfaction and service were low priority items.
We love Copa cobana and go for every occasion. However we went for Valentine’s Day and left hungry. We hardly got any food as our entire row continued to get skipped I’m assuming because we were all shoved in the back and it wasnt a convenient spot for servers. We asked for pineapple before we left and was told to wait 30 mins meanwhile 3 servers were going around into the centre with pineapples. Where we were seated we were left to dry I know everyone in our row was very upset.
I’m very disappointed in the service I received. I understand it’s Valentine’s Day but I sat without water for 30 mins.
I requested pineapple and bbq flank and waited 40 mins just to be let down. My boyfriend and I gave up and requested our bill. We left the restaurant hungry which really put a damp
We have been to every Copacabana and never have we received this kind of service. For the waiters and servers to tell us it’s because it’s busy is not a valid excuse to tell paying customers. It put a damper on our date.
We arrived at Copacabana, keeping in mind it was Valentine’s Day you expect Chaos, but what you don’t expect is waiting for Gaucho’s to not come by your table in a reasonable amount of time. At one point we waited 15 minutes for the Gaucho to come, it wasn’t until the couple next to us complained (thank you to them).
Overall, it was OK.
An early Valentines date with my wife
14.00 for a small glass of Chardonnay?? 11.00 for a Caesar plus tax and tip?? What a rip off!!! Very rare meat. Luke warm fries and pasta. We never saw 1/3 of the food that was advertised on their website. No Cajun or Ginger Chicken or salmon. Blaring rave style music sucked. Would not recommend or go there again.
Not the greatest experience, food was taking long to come out, some meat not all was not hot?? Overall service was good the waiters and waitresses tried they’re best, it was the kitchen that was most disappointing even the variety of meats was low! Unfortunately we won’t be coming back for the price we were not satisfied
Every year when my father visits from Nova Scotia we make sure to have dinner at Copa! This time our waiter was SO amazing and had a wonderful energy. :)
We went expecting a nice dinner. The food was okay - didn’t not have all meat varieties and there was a long time between each meat. The server was extremely rude when delivering the wine and did not understand the proper wine host service. The live band was really good - but to loud, we couldn’t talk with each other without yelling.
Was hoping it would be an amazing experience - but was let down unfortunately!
This was the third time I have visited this restaurant and I can not wait to go back. I have recommended this place to anyone who would listen. The food is out of this world as is the service. My only complaint is that I don't live closer.
Went with my partner for a casual date night. Been here before, and it’s still very good. Server was alone in his section so food came a little slower, but the experience was good overall. Will be returning again.
A lot has changed since the last time we went here. Seemed once we made a request for item, those were the only items we got. The other meats didn't sseem to make a stop anymore. Also, why did the menu of items get taken away?
How are you supposed to know what the options are, unless you can recall what you had last time? Considering the price, we were surprised how fatty the filet mignon was. Despite our server charging us for the "special occasion dessert" she was very attentive and pleasant. Likely won't return to this location again.
I made a reservation for 9:00pm and still waited over 30 minutes for me and my party to be seated
FOOD WAS SO SO. THERE WERE ALL VARIETIES COMING IN BEEF ONLY AND SOME PRAWNS.
HOWEVER, THERE WAS NO CHICKEN, PORK, SAUSAGES ETC. SO IT IS NOT WHAT I EXPECTED AND WILL NOT VISIT NEXT TIME.
As compared to other Brazilian restaurants across Canada or USA, they were bringing out meat (carvers) with a lot of delay. I was waiting for meat a long time, and then would bring out one type and would offer a little slice. They were not really into even carving a bigger slice/chunk even if you wanted them too. Whenever I asked for a second slice/chunk, they would slice up a thinner, and smaller slice/chunk.
Always a wonderful time with the staff and carvers at Copacabana
Always do...its our go to when we looking for entertainment and good food
My friends and I were very happy with the dining experience at the Vaugan Copacabana Brazilian Staekhouse . The variety of meats , seafood and the salad bar were more than plentyful . Meats were very tasty along with other foods that we tried . Service was also fanastic . Very tenative to our requests and they came around numerious times to ask if we had any preference of any meats or seafood we would to try again . Very Happy with our pre-Superbowl dinner .
Food was good, although service was not the best! It took about 40 minutes for any of the servers to bring any meat to our table. Furthermore, toward the end of the night, the server asked us what else we would like and we requested grilled pineapple about 2 times, we never received the grilled pineapple once. Ive been to better Copa Cabanas and sadly I don’t think I would return to the one in Vaughan.
I felt because it was a Saturday night and they were quite busy. The meats that were coming out were basically rare just grilled form the outside
We had to wait over 30 minutes although we had reservations. Otherwise, it was great!
Great experience, tasty food, good service and lovely Brazilian show
Good food and service was great felt very rushed. We were there for two hours so I don’t think we over stayed our welcome. They def made sure we tried everything which is nice. I would go again.
We waited 20 mins beyond our reservation time.
It was very crowded and we often waited too long for the meat to arrive at our table.
Food and service was amazing! My only caution would be that the restaurant is loud, so it's not the best for conversation.
Not very impressed by the restaurant. Too crowded, very little space to move. Food was so so, Some beef cuts were not well cooked. Very slow service of the meats. Most unique was that they brought Shrimps late in the night when people were leaving. There was no fish in spite of pricy place.
Dancers were going in aisles between the tables, was hard to see them from our table.
Wait for the fish was too long left without eating. It took too long for the cashier to understand the 10% discount applicable. Initially given only for 1 person not for the table of 2. Disappointed celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary.
My boyfriend and I came here on a Monday night for my birthday. It was absolutely delicious and I will definitely be returning. It was a quieter night than what Copa Cabana is usually known for, which I’m happy about because I enjoy more of a peaceful ambient dining experience. Overall I was thrilled with this exceptional restaurant.
They sat us down in a corner area where the servants don't pass by it often and we had to wait for long time to get the food.
Family and friends for my 60th birthday. They never disappoint, food was excellent and the staff is beyond the best. Extremely accommodating. I don’t like rare meat and they came back from the kitchen with my favourite cuts done to my liking. My birthday dessert was tasty as well. Definitely recommend.
As always, Copacabana is a great experience for our family's birthday celebrations. Awesome food!
Came to Vaughan location for my birthday with a group of friends. I’ve never been before and the food definitely did not disappoint. Varieties of meat were amazing, including the seafood. The sides were good however we felt that the macaroni and lasagna could be a bit more flavourful. Overall had a good experience, the only thing that I would say was out of the dining experience was that they charged us $25 to bring in a cake (is stated online) but gave us plates to do it ourselves. I’ve been to other restaurants where I’ve paid the fee but they cut the cake for us and serve it. But overall, good experience and will return.
Charmain was amazing
She was sweet, friendly, patient and always served with a smile.
We have reservations on February 8th and have requested for Charmain again!
Truly a wonderful experience!!
Buffet was empty most of the time for popular items. Had to ask multiple times for the Chimichurri. I don’t think $330 for 4 people was worth it. $55/person with tax and guaranteed gratuity is very steep in my opinion. Most other Copa Cabana chains are charging $45-$48 a person. Niagara for example. I would review your pricing and monitor the buffet more closely. Meat was delicious and servers were wonderful. Alcohol Amount in drinks was generous. Dancers were gorgeous and a highlight to the evening.
It was an awesome experience. We loved it and the staff was amazing. I'm definitely going back again and recomned it to my friends 😊
Very nice food and staff. Very busy though, we were not offered meat for the first half hour since arriving at the restaurant. A bit too loud, and maybe they should try genuine Brazilian ambience music, such as Bossa-nova. Suggestions for the menu: picanha with garlic, fried manioc sticks, and natural juices (passion fruit, açai, caju, pineapple, etc.).
Had a great time at this place. Food and service were great. We Enjoyed more than other locations.
I had a business dinner with two of our customers that were visiting Canada for the first time.
Unfortunately, We didn't get served meat as other tables. As a matter of fact, We never got any type of chicken. The table in front of us which had 8+ people were getting all the meat and service. on an average, we waited 10 min between servings!!!
They literally received all types of meat and chicken without waiting more than 3-5 min between servings.
On top of that we waited 20+ min to get pineapple.
To be honest, this is the last time I will bring our valued customers to this location. You embraced me in front of my guests since I talked so much about how good your restaurant and theme was.
