I cannot fault the service. We had a problem with the food and the restaurant staff handled it superbly. They couldn't do enough to fix the problem - and for that I give them close to full marks.
We really enjoyed our dinner. I love the ambience of this restaurant.
The food was very good. Being my 1st Thanksgiving in Canada, a memorable meal.
Great naan, solid Lamb Curry. Try the mango Lassie
Delicious food and lovely friendly staff.
Very disappointed with the food and service we received. We came here for a family birthday and were disgusted by the food which was vastly overpriced and was overall flavourless and very unauthentic. Furthermore, our waitress was very rude and dismissive and made our visit a bad experience.
Found it on Groupon and was blown away!! Will definitely go back the food was so so good!
Fun place with good atmosphere; food very good but for us could have had more spice; great and friendly service
Ate at the Copper Chimney on the recommendation of a woman and her husband who were staying at le Soleil and had eaten there. It was so good we went back the next evening.
The space itself is well laid-out and feels nicely intimate. The food is OK and very nicely presented, but not particularly memorable.
The food and service was amazing.
My wife & I have been to Copper Chimney for the Indian Fusion menu in the past and we met for lunch this past week. We were extremely disappointed in the food. Her fish and chips had no cumin on the fries, and the fish had barely a hint of curry. My chicken curry wrap has very little in the wrap in terms of chicken and other ingredients and it seemed as though someone was cutting corners to serve up the meal. My Americano coffee was basically coffee flavored hot water. I noticed that the prices were still the same. There were few customers in the restaurant, so they were not pressed to get the food up quickly. The waitress did well and I have no complaints. I don't know what is to blame; management or the kitchen, but its enough that my wife and I will go somewhere else for lunch in future. I sure hope that they improve and take not of this review...
Very nice as always
Efficient service, food came out quickly. Rice to curry ratio was spot on. Definitely one of the better places to get curry in Vancouver.
As usual the service was exceptional (they always remember me) and the food was outstanding.
Great service combined with spectacular food. Had the seafood curry and it was delicious.
Absolutely atrocious that the chicken lunch special was sauce and two measly pieces of chicken
Fish and chips was good, but did not make up for the lame chicken dish.
Poutine great too
Great jewel in the downtown core. So much better than most. The staff and chefs are happy to accommodate requests and there is never a problem They all really want to make certain you enjoy your time at the Copper Chimney. Great place!
Hi, Copper Chimney is becoming one of my preferred restaurants. I enjoy the ambiance, and the service is excellent. However, my food was "just warm" this time and I was disappointed. I decided not to return it because I was with a client and wouldn't have been appropriate. She claimed that her food was not "hot", but that it was still fine. Thank you.
Server was incredible. So helpful and knowledgeable. Thank you.
I live on the Sunshine Coast so it difficult to find a great dining experience but this excelled in all areas and certainly lived up to the reviews and comments. Everything was excellent from the food to the service. Can't wait to go back again!
This is some of the best Indian food in the city! The staff is very friendly and attentive.
Enjoyed 2 appetizers - Crab Cake and spicy Prawns. Also ordered lamb curry and garlic naan to share. Very satisfying.
I eat a lot of Indian in different spots around the world and this just isn’t very authentic or good. Decent but not really good. Calamari had zero spice (hard to do with Indian cuisine). Naan was good but that isn’t too hard.
Not many choices. Food was under cooked
Excellent food, great service and lovely atmosphere
The food was pricy. We ordered a thali and there was no naan or roti. Indian Thali is incomplete without naan or roti.
As others have noted, quite beautiful inside the restaurant, and it is a nice atmosphere for dinner. We thought the food was very mediocre, and our service was also poor, though we were there early in the evening and the restaurant was not crowded.
The Copper Chimney is an amazing gem. Great selection and the chef is always willing to accommodate specials requests. Fabulous!
I almost hate to rave about this place because it’s small and I always want to be able to get a seat. Wonderful find, excellent dishes and atmosphere .
We got the non vegetarian sample platter and some garlic naan. Awesome!
Mother’s Day brunch didn’t take place in the restaurant - rather on the second floor of the hotel in a banquet room. The restaurant is beautiful and was looking forward to dining in it. Food was reasonable. Funny set up of the buffet - not everything had a utensil and salad dressings were placed far away from salad. Overall, pleasant. Felt a little duped that the brunch wasn’t in the restaurant.
Beautiful atmosphere and nice staff, food was rather bland.
overall great place to have indian food although the taste is modified to suit foreigners coz it was not spicy at all. Ambience and service was too good.
This is a hidden gem in the heart of Vancouver with great authentic Indian cuisine, and never too crowded. Highly recommend.
Our lunch was not bad, I was really looking forward to eating here and unfortunately I found the food to just be ok, yet when I read the menu I thought it would be really good. So I was a little disappointed.
I found the portions to be small for what they were charging, I don't think I would go here if I had to pay for my meal.
The service was good, the food came fast. That was a positive.
I just wasn't wowed!
I arrived at my reserved time only to find the restaurant closed in 15 minutes. The day was rescued by the host at the restaurant who profusely apologized, took me to the concierge at the hotel next door who arranged lunch at an excellent restaurant nearby with no wait time.
We were very happy with our dinner out. The staff was very good informing us about the food options as we know very little about Indian cuisine.
Had a great birthday party for my daughters 19th. The high ceilings were great for the massive balloon arrangement. Food was awesome!
Enjoyed the relaxing dinner. The rosemary naan was fresh and hot. The mango chutney was perfect with naan. Both the lamb shank and. beef short rib were tasty. Service was good.
