This is a tired Hotel restaurant that should just be shut down. The food was reminiscent of Dennys, they didn’t have half the items on the menu and the food was gross. I don’t know why they even kept this open. It’s needs to be shut down and reimagined. The fixtures, furniture and decor is old and out dated. You can’t run an establishment like this in Chicago. It was embarrassing eating there and event being seen there. Never again.

Hi! So disappointed, please stop making your #16 Biscuits a featured item. Five years ago they were amazing. Now they aren't even as good as a Bob Evans restaurant. Seriously, not worth it! Staff was so kind - but we literally paid for the biscuits and left.

Open table listed no availability except at the bar. We went and there were many open tables and were immediately seated. Awesome dinner and service, but this app is not doing them any favors. Glad we went anyway!

Visiting Chicago and stepped into this restaurant because we heard the Mac & cheese was good! Good was not good. Returned the Mac & Cheese - powdery and not good. Chicken sandwich was edible but wouldn’t order again. Decided to just not eat and visit somewhere else. Service was fine!

We attempted three meals at the Copper Fox while staying at the hotel. And had a very different experience all three times. We first attempted on Friday night the 20th. We had just checked in to the hotel, and I hadn't realized that a reservation would be needed. We asked the (very kind, helpful) hostess whether there were any tables still available after being unable to reserve online. She came back moments later and let us know it would be 10 minutes or so, which we were okay with, as that would give us just enough time to order and eat before needing to head to our event. Ten minutes passed and she came and got us and took us to our table. We waited at that table for 20 minutes without a single employee even acknowledging our existence. We made eye contact with wait staff on two or three different occasions, and watched them come and interact with all of the other tables. After 20 minutes we knew we would no longer have time to make our event, so we had to leave without eating. So, so frustrating. The restaurant did not appear super crowded or busy; the times we made eye contact with wait staff they were standing together chatting near what I assume was the kitchen. We did make a reservation for brunch the next morning, and this was a completely different experience. As soon as the restaurant opened (the time we made our reservation) we were seated immediately and wait staff came and took our orders and brought food quickly. Sunday morning brunch we made a reservation again, and while not quite as prompt of service, it was busier, and we had more flexibility with time. The food was good and it was a convenient location, but that first evening's lack of service did leave an unpleasant taste in our mouth, so to speak.

Came for happy hour and was pleasantly surprised - very good value and delicious food. Only quibble was the slow service. But otherwise it was a pleasant space that's conversation-friendly. Really liked the crab hushpuppies and crispy brussels. Will definitely be back!
