Went for an anniversary dinner and arrived at 6:15 were seated properly but that was the very last thing that happened promptly. The restaurant was not busy but we waited for about 10 minuted before we were given water. Another few minutes and a waiter appeared he took our champaign everything seemed fine. We shared an appetizer and it was served within about 20 minutes which was fine. Except that while we were still finishing a bus person took our plate before we even knew what was happening. Next course, a gazpacho and salad took another 20 minutes so not sure why the hurry to take our appetizer. Then we waited and waited for a shared plate of grilled salmon—not complicated. At 7:25 the waiter came and said our dinner was coming out. At 7:40 I spoke with the manager—who apologized and said he would let me know what the problem was. At 7:45 as we got up to leave without our dinner he brought our dinner and said the kitchen got “slammed” which was total BS since several tables that came after us had received their dinners. This place employees young in experienced staff and does not provide adequate training on proper procedure to provide honest respectful service. The manager is totally unable to manage the place and does not have a clue how to interact with customers. He offered to “take the salmon off our bill” which was grant of him since we never ate it. If you are looking for respectful, quality service I recommend you eat someplace else.

We had an extremely disappointing experience. The service was substandard and we could not get our beef cooked correctly. The food in the past was good which was why we went back, but it was mediocre at best this time. Service was slow and inadequate. I will not be back.

We always go to the Copper Kitchen for a special occasion or to bring people from the family. We've had always great experiences. Well, this one wasn't so much. The hostess did an awesome job. My congratulations to him. We got our beautiful spot. When we were having a chat this lady came and pour our water without saying a word. Like: NOTHING. We looked at each other surprised but we thought "She must be the busser". (My husband is a restaurant manager and we've both worked for the restaurant industry so we know what this is about). After a while, the same lady came to our table to take our drinks order. Happened to be the same girl who poured our water. She didn't acknowledge the fact that we were with babies (Something you would do at least while being fake to "MAKE YOUR TIPS". ) She only asked about drinks and right after if we had decided in our drinks. She did not take the time to introduce herself, or to explain the specials from that night. After waiting for a while, we saw our drinks going to another table and as it was the one next to us, I turned around and explained the lovely couple what was going on. We all laughed and she did apologized the other table when realized but never said anything to us. We had finally our drinks and appetizer which she never asked how it was. Then we asked for salt and pepper which went to another table again. We were SO looking forward to our dinner here and we did not bring home the best experience. What we can say is that we really like the food quality and that it is original. I have to say that I'm not sure If I will be coming back but what I do think is that the manager should be paying attention to their servers and recommend tips or training to those like ours that time. I even put a note as it was a special occasion (My moms death anniversary). There was NO interaction or "care" for our table. We usually tip more than what we're supposed to. Not this time. Too bad.

We had a lovely evening at The Copper Kitchen. We celebrated our 51 Wedding Anniversary there. The food was fabulous. Even tho they were quite busy, our server was very attentive. She even served us a dessert if our choice because of our special evening! We definitely will be going back!

Sunday Brunch here is delicious and we've also enjoyed an evening meal here as well. Our last visit was for Sunday Brunch for Father's Day, 2017 and had a delightful time. The service was excellent and we sat outside on the patio which has lovely views of the Wasatch mountains and the Holladay area. Indoor seating can get a little noisy. Our brunch was yummy, with the exception of the french toast my girls ordered, it was soggy as it had sat in a mix of apple juice from the compote and butter, prior to being brought to us, and they had melted on the hot day. Our girls were disappointed and when we mentioned it, they immediately comped the dish. So no complaints there. Overall was a good experience, would recommend it and we even stayed after paying our bill and had coffee as we were so content, we didn't want to leave. Suggestion to the restaurant would be to put the butter and compote in ramekins on the side of the plate.

Copper Kitchen never disappoints! The menu has a wide range of appetizers, entrees, specialty drinks and large wine selection. All the ingredients are fresh and cooked to perfection. We ordered the charcuterie board and grilled octopus to start and the octopus was cooked perfectly tender. The handmade pastas are a real treat and very light and not dense as some pastas can turn out to be. The beef bourguignon was delicious and the mustard sauce provided a rich, tart flavor to keep the dish a lighter. The rock shrimp tagliatelle had a nice bite, but it's not too spicy. Must come and again and sit on the patio!

Have visited this restaurant a few times while in Salt Lake area and it never disappoints. The brick chicken is phenomal as is their duck. For dessert, the chocolate torte with banana ice cream and peanut butter mousse is an incredibly decadent treat that shouldn't be missed.

We like coming to this place for business lunches as it is close to our offices and the food is generally good and the service is generally good but it is becoming a bit boring as they don't really have too many daily specials and the menu has been the same for months except for 2 or 3 minor changes. With the talent that they have, they should really look at doing a half dozen daily specials that change daily otherwise I fear that people will become bored of eating there as I have. They should also have more choices for people that are on low carb and paleo diets which are becoming more and more popular.

Copper kitchen is one our favorite restaurants and wanted to try brunch for Mother's Day. We didn't have the best service. The kitchen kept trying to deliver our plates to table next door and they accepted the pancake plates completely throwing our order off. Over 40 minutes later my kids finally got their make up pancakes and the rest of our party was already finished with everything else. Put a damper on the meal. Still can't figure out why it took that long for 2 pancakes :(

We've been before and had amazing experiences. This last visit on 04/21 was mediocre at best, and considering the price point I was very disappointed. Dishes we got included grilled octopus, short ribs, cioppino, steak frites, mac & cheese, grilled asparagus, and a few desserts. Steak was very small, and we asked for medium and it was over cooked. Frites were wrinkled and a little deflated. Short ribs were strangely crispy in spots - couldn't tell if it was intentional. Beignets were hard, brown sugar pineapple cake was fine but the ice cream normall offered with it was sold out. Fried apple pie was nothing to get excited about, although the ice cream was good. I hope it was just an off night and the quality hasn't permanently declined.

We love Copper Kitchen, it is often our first choice, despite the 40 minute drive. This particular dining experience wasn't the best we have had there; the kitchen got backed up and so we waited a long time to be served. HOWEVER, this is not the norm, and they were very apologetic and gave us dessert on the house. I would absolutely recommend Copper Kitchen any time! Try the mushroom polenta and the Brussels sprouts, they are crave worthy!

We love going to this restaurant and normally have a business luncheon there a couple of times a month. The food is very good although it is getting a bit boring because the menu is always the same and they don't do much with daily specials. This time though, I don't know what happened but we had to wait for an extremely long time for our food and the place was not busy at all. We were really disappointed. We will have to see if we can have as many lunches there as we can't afford to be so late back to the office.
