From the second I stepped out in front of the restaurant, I was greeted by the part owner/executive chef who was more than ecstatic to make my wife and I have the best dining experience ever, especially since it was our wedding anniversary. The food was DeVine!!!! Every dish that we had, had its special twist that words cannot explain how delicious it was! The staff was the best and always so attentive to us! We will be coming back soon!!!

Costa Brava is a Spanish and French restaurant that is not able to deliver on either. We had high hopes, but the food was tasteless and the restaurant was very dark. I would not recommend it.

The food and ambience at Costa Brava are always wonderful. Menu items are a little pricey, which prevents us from going more often. I do think they're going to start having lunch and that will definitely be worth looking into.

We were there to celebrate a wedding anniversary and were treated with a glass of bubbly and several extra treats. My husband did the tasting menu and wine pairing and they timed my salad and entree thoughtfully with his meal. Chef spent good amount if time explaining the food and server did good job explaining our wines. Highly recommend going here anytime you are looking for a delicious meal!

Excellent service combined with great food and wine. Another lovely meal at Costa Brava Bistro. Started with a rose cava, which was bone dry and lovely. Moved to a great Cornas which was exactly what I wanted and went with the main course. Shrimp appetizer was (garlic heavy as noted on menu, they mean it). Lamb chops were very tender, cooked perfectly, and the goat cheese potato cake was excellent - I just wish there was more of it. Pot de Creme & Port finished off the meal perfectly. A little loud because it's a smaller space, but was able to have a conversation without a problem. One point for some diners - the wine list is great, but Spanish & French only (maybe a couple US Pinots sneak in there). So if you are a Cali wine drinker just ask for help because there are great wines on the list just maybe less familiar to some.

What a pleasant environment. Low key and moody in a good way. Nice piped in music. Lots of choices on the menu. Great variety. Highly recommend the Lamb Chops...some of the most tender I have ever had, with great sauce along side. Paella could have had more seafood and garlic and less chicken. The portions were generous sizes. Very good escargo with an unusual sauce. Attentive wait staff. Very clean venue. Owner/manager came by our table to see how we liked it. Not cheap but it was a specail occasion, my husband's 83rd birthday, so worth the extra $$. Dessert was not included for the birthday boy as some restaurants do. It made me have yearnings to return to Spain for a visit!

Food and service were wonderful as always. I had the red snapper with lump crabmeat and my husband had paella, neither of us left a bite on our plates. The chocolate mousse with orange was the perfect ending to a lovely meal. It was our anniversary and they immediately greeted us with champagne.

We have attended the wine pairing on multiple occasions. Costa Brava is unique to allow patrons to make reservations and enjoy the wine pairing based on their time of entry. Most start as a group and proceed through the evening. The food is always well prepared with unique presentations. The wines have always been selected to enhance the flavors of the dish and the dish brings out the best of the wine. Those that do not want to participate, can always order off the menu. The staff have always been friendly and professional. There is always a well informed representative that advises you about the wine being served. Highly recommended.

Service from Christian was stellar. Very attentive and helpful. Free samples coming from the kitchen while waiting. Drinks on the money per style and recipe. Steak was great. Tuna was unremarkable. Escargot great. Foie gras I could not taste, but I have some liquor in me by then. Desserts Boubon chocolate and apple tart were good. The place is expensive but singularly special. Oh, lights too dim to read the menu.

Excellent food and service. We had a small problem with the temperature of the escargots and it was handled in a gracious and fast manner. One of the best restaurants in Houston and my favorite restaurant for a quiet and gracious night out.

We have been going to Costa Brava since they opened and the experience is always exceptional. The food is consistently sourced from quality ingredients prepared with skill and beautifully presented. Angeles and Kitty are gracious hosts and the entire staff provides a delightful evening. The black rice with seafood is awesome-I've never seen it elsewhere. The wine list and bar service are also excellent

We indulged in another remarkable monthly wine dinner at Costa Brava Bistro. The pairings were most enjoyable and introduced us to wines we would otherwise miss, as well as menu items that were new to us. Service and wine expert added so much to the evening.

This is one of our favorite restaurants. Last night the food was less than what we expect from them. My husbands steak was very salty. I had the snapper which was also very salty and overcooked. We have never experienced this before at Costa Brava Bistro. We love the restaurant and will be back. Hoping it was just an off night.

My wife and I were in Houston for our anniversary and found this gem. I made the reservations fairly last minute and was surprised when we walked in on a Saturday night at the restaurant was not completely filled. From the moment we walked in we were warmly greeted and seated quickly with a welcome glass of rose. We took our time ordering each portion of our meal and never felt rushed. Everything we ate was excellent, Octopus appetizer, suckling pig and red snapper dinners, and the croissant bread budding. Wish we lived in Houston as we would come here often.

Overall we had a great experience and most definitely will be returning. The service and atmosphere were perfect and most of what we ordered was great - the octupus and duck confit appetizers were both outstanding. The escargots were good, but not exceptional. Our entrees, the lamb chops and cochinillo roast suckling pig were both very good, but again, not exceptional. Actually, the lamb chops would have gotten an exceptional vote if it were not for the accompanying sauce being way too salty. My wife wiped the sauce off as best she could and the unsauced chops were indeed exceptional! Our dessert, which we almost skipped, was also another highlight. We got the Chocolate Croissant Bread Pudding and it was fantastic! So glad we didn't skip that! Definitely recommend you try this place - the bill was also a pleasant surprise - very good value for what you get.

Our waiter was awesome, giving great recommendations, checking on ingredients for food restrictions and keeping our wine glasses filled. I wish I remembered her name. Food was delicious and even got to meet the chef.
