We enjoy CQ’s and have been many times. The service and atmosphere is always excellent, but the food can range between very good and “ok.” The other night I had the special (Flounder) it was bland. Still, we’ll be back as it’s not a terribly expensive date night ($200 with tip typically) and we have nice memories from years past.

We are seniors and don't need big portions. Had heard that CQs had early bird specials with smaller portions. We were disappointed that they didn't. Everything that we did experience was great.

Food was good but nothing outstanding and is a bit expensive for the quality. We had a dirty bread plate when we were seated and they brought our white wine out at room temperature. The server was very nice. Not a bad place but I will not rush to go back.

Been coming here for years, a family favorite. I get that it was a Tuesday night but someone needs to look at the kitchen. The food was poor, a 57.00 steak special with no flavor. Waiter messed up one plate and had to return it ( which we never do). Hostess dress in jeans, no personality and looked bored to be there. This at it's peak was a best in class restaurant and it gives me no joy to say that either there has been a shot in ownership or something has really prompted a drop-off in quality and experience. Hope they can turn it around, our family would love to come back. Cannot recommend to friends based on this experience.

We had a great dinner! casual setting. I had the Tomato Caprese Salad special and the New York strip special. Had a glass of the Super Tuscan red wine. The food was fabulous! Wonderful service, loved on the pictures on the walls regarding tennis and golf over the many years. Great dinner - I will be back!

I’ll start by saying Other reviews led me to expect more for this restaurant that’s considered a Harbortown Favorite. We took our family of 4 there for dinner while on vacation. For 6pm on a Friday night in the summer, the restaurant wasn’t busy at all. We were greeted by 3 unsmiling hostesses. Not sure why they were all at the host stand when it was clearly not busy and they were not friendly or inviting. We had dressed nicely for dinner and I was disappointed when we walked in… it looked like a dusty old house, even the inside. Even The hostesses were in jeans and t-shirts. We were waived over to the table nearest the door in the room with the bar. Perhaps our bad table location led us to not be impressed by the ambiance but seeing so little I don’t know where the charm could have been. It was very quiet and there was slight music in the background… maybe if we could have heard it would’ve livened the place up. Eventually our server arrived and good thing he was friendly and cordial or I’m not sure we would’ve even stayed. The drink selection looked tempting and there were many good looking menu choices. Our meals came quickly. I ordered the seafood pasta and despite needing a little salt it was very good. We skipped dessert. We were there for exactly an hour and left underwhelmed.

We honeymooned on Hilton Head 50 years ago. Being a very special occasion, we wanted a great dining experience. We found it at CQs. The food was delicious, and the service was impeccable. I highly recommend CQs restaurant!

We arrived early and took two seats at the bar. The bartender was very engaging and very helpful. The food was terrific. The server did not seem overly interested which was noticable due to the outgoing nature of the bartender. The She-crab soup was nice but tasted more like mushroom soup than She-crab. The scallops were of a medium size and the accompanying sides were very nice. The seared tuna was wonderful but the sides were somewhat underwhelming. All in all the main courese were the reason we were there.

We had a wonderful birthday dinner at CQs. They gave us a spacious table in a quaint room. Our food was amazing - two of their specials - mahi mahi and trout amandine, and we discovered a good Hungarian Syrah! Our server was fun and made the experience truly enjoyable.

Atmosphere and food were great as was our waiter Peter as he did a great job. My only complaint was when you have a very quaint, small intimate restaurant like CQ’s and the manager is present, he needs to interact with the customers. Jorge, the manager, must of passed our table at least 20 times over the course of the evening and never once smiled at us or even asked us how our experience was. Unacceptable!!! Because of that, I wouldn’t rush back or recommend to friends.

This is my first time dining at CQ in the dining room. Previously I had walked in and was served at the bar. Both experiences were excellent. From the moment I walked in and both occasions Jorge graciously welcome to me into the restaurant. No matter the request he always accommodated. The service at the bar was quite good, and the service as a table side was quite excellent. Denise make sure our every request was met, and she did so, with efficiency, professionalism, and a smile on her face. On both occasions, the food was quite good. I always like to get the fresh catch and my dining mate did the same. We were delighted with every bite. I will definitely go back and bring my visiting friends with me. CQ,s gets an A+ across-the-board
