Our Dress Code reflects this commitment and we uphold our dress code at our discretion.     We were a party of 6, coming from South Carolina, Florida and California and we’ve seen our fair share of Italian restaurants. We all agreed that the food was outstanding, with the right portion size, unlike many other places where you leave with a bag of leftovers. We would definitely come back.

    Beautiful restaurant with excellent food and service. The calamari appetizer was delicious. Our entrees were Eggplant Parm and Lasagna, both very good. The tiramisu and creme Brule were amazing.

    Overall the experience was good BUT…Be aware they are charging a “Business Operations Fee Dine In (3.00%)”. I don’t mind paying the markup on food and wine, but to charge me to walk into the restaurant rubs me the wrong way AND they don’t tell you your bill will include this fee. I overheard another table, questioning our server on this fee, which caused me to look at my bill when I received the check from the server. Also make sure to check your receipt because some of the up-charge items on the menu are priced higher on the receipt. I don’t want to be completely negative in this review because the food, ambience, and service was good; however, I don’t like to get my bill and be surprised.

    We had a wonderful dinner. Excellent staff. Very polite. The restaurant ambiance was a pleasant surprise. The guitar music was very good. The man playing was very personable.     Service was very good. Isaiah was very accommodating when we requested a move from the patio to indoors. Everyone moved because it was windy and cold. I had the lasagna and found it quite ordinary and uninspired. My wife had the chicken parm which was over cooked and dry. Not worth all the hype.

    The ambiance was delightful, comfortable sitting outdoors. Our waiter was amusing, careful to get our order correct, the food was prepared to perfection, not an easy task for our cardiologist RX restrictions. Cucina Rustica is the place we bring our guests while visiting Sedona. They did not disappoint

    On a trip to Sedona for our anniversary we saw Cucina Rustica on the road in front of our hotel. We made a reservation and it was the best thing. I can not tell you how happy we were to dine at Cucina Rustica. We had Sadie for our server and she was outstanding. From suggestions she gave and the best thing was we did not feel rushed to eat. She took our order and all the delicious food was spaced out perfectly. The food was amazing. Everything is made in house and you can taste the work that goes into everything we had. We sat outside which was amazing as it was a beautiful day into evening and they have a guitar players that was awesome. It was just a perfect night for us to celebrate and thank Sadie and the staff for an enjoyable experience and evening. We are already talking about our next visit to Sedona and will be making a reservation again. This will be are go to place. Thank you again.

    Lovely interior really felt like a getaway to Italy. Attentive and plentiful staff. We had leek&celery soup, buratta with roasted tomatoes, cioppino and eggplant parmigian. They were all delicious. If anything maybe a little heavy with salt and fat, but since I usually cook at home maybe I'm just not used to restaurant foods. They kindly surprised us with a dessert as we were celebrating a special date. We very much enjoyed the quiet music by a gentleman who came on at about 6 and played an acoustic guitar. We would go again and have enjoyed several of the Dahl restaurants.

    We had an outstanding dining experience for our anniversary. We traveled to Sedona with friends to celebrate and our dinner did not disappoint! The filet and bolognese were amazing. Try rustic bruschetta and calamari as an appetizer. And don’t skip dessert! Key lime pie and the flourless chocolate desserts are worth the calories I promise!

    CR advertise itself as a "fine dining experience" with a strict dress code. Specifics include no thongs or flip-flops, tank tops, short-shorts, or sports-branded sports wear. As we were seated and during dinner we observed guests at different tables wearing all these things. While not objecting per se, it did bother us to have made a special effort to meet the code without it being necessary. The starters were excellent. We shared the caprese salad and the Mediterranean sampler plate: lemon hummus with pine nuts, stuffed grape leaves, feta, olives, artichokes, and just a bit of roasted red pepper. According to the menu we should had had focaccia with the plate; however, that never arrived. Our mains were an eggplant parmesan and a capellini pomodoro. The capellini pomodoro would have been fine for Olive Garden; however, not for "fine dining" Italian. The eggplant parmesan had a single, almost paper thin slice of eggplant, breaded, covered with a much thicker slice of cheese and smothered in a marinara sauce (the sam as dressed the capellini). It really would have served as an appetizer. It included a side serving portion of the capellini pomodoro. On service: at CR waiters take orders and are attentive to needs; however, food is brought by other staff. When our mains arrived the staff set the wrong plate down in front of my wife. Instead of lifting it off the table and setting it in front of me, he simply pushed it aside - not to me, but to the center of the table - and I had to reach out, lift it over my wine and water, and set it in front of myself. Our deserts were a rich flourless chocolate cake w/salted caramel gelato and an excellent creme brûlée. Rather than let the menu reflect the cost of the meal, CR has chosen to add a 3% "Business Operations Fee" to all checks. We do not by any means regret the evening; however, the cost was out-of-line for quality of the meal or the service; so, we won't be coming back on future visits to Sedona.

    To begin with the room was extremely cold. By the time the food arrived it was no longer hot. The pasta that was served with the egg plant parmigiana was sauce less and tasteless along with being cold. Not a very creative menu. We expected better.

    We went to Cucina Rustica to celebrate my wife's Birthday. It did not disappoint! Everything was 5 Star! Our Server was "Eric" and he was truly a master! He answered all our questions and made us feel welcomed and truly wanted the Birthday dinner to be special! We will always go back there whenever we are in Sedona! Truly a magical experience!

    Kitchen was short staffed so food took long time to come out. Told server we had tree nut allergy and she served us dessert with nuts. Luckily we asked again before we ate it. Ordered chicken parm and chicken was really tough. Mussels app was very good.

    Really fun, unique wine list with very reasonable prices for exceptional wines. Not the same old restaurant wines you see everywhere. Dinner was super fresh and delicious and the bourbon chocolate torte is not to be missed.
