The interior is very nice. Food is very good too. But the service is not so attentive. Hope they care the customers more.

Looking forward to coming back here after many years of being away, moved to a different location. Ordered the special Pasta Limoncello with grilled shrimp. Not sure pasta was homemade but it had good flavor the shrimp was over charred and cooked. Also was way over priced $55 (prices were not included on menu figured $35/$40 maybe) We also ordered a salad which was delicious and eggplant parmigiana appetizer. Both tasty.

The food and service were good. The one reason I didn't give them a 5 is that we were there on a Sunday for brunch at 11AM and they were out of a bunch of things, including smoked salmon and MILK. We wanted lattes and tea with milk and the response was -- "we only have half-n-half, is that OK?" Um, no. Not OK. How do you run out of milk? We pointed out to our waiter that the restaurant was next door to Trader Joe's and they sold milk there. Why not just run over and get some milk? At the time we were there, we saw only one other party. The waiter mumbled something about something but no milk. So, we had brunch without lattes and tea, and the restaurant missed out on some sales and an extra star on the rating they could have had with a simple purchase of a $1.50 quart of milk from the grocery store next door. Very strange way of doing business.

Celebrated two friends’ birthdays at Deux Bistro tonight and everyone in our party of 7 thoroughly enjoyed our dinner here. From the warm baguette with the softest creamiest butter, the fresh briny olives, the tuna tartare appetizer, the perfectly seasoned and cooked Branzino with shaved fennel and pearl couscous and the Steak Frites, each dish was created with expertise and care. The delicious desserts of chocolate mousse, Key Lime parfait and Crème Brûlée satisfied everyone’s sweet tooth with equal satisfaction by all. The friendly service by the entire staff, their attention to detail and the owner Nicolas personally coming to our table and speaking to our group made for a warm and memorable evening.

We had a full three hour dining experience with four people on a Sunday night with wine, cocktails, appetizers, soup, entrees and desert. We also ordered bread for a small surcharge that was not on the regular menu. The food was delicious and deserves 5 stars. Our server was fantastic and deserves 5 stars. The 1913 Restaurant & Bar is an airy, modern uplifting restaurant with beautiful art work and earns 5 stars for daytime ambience. For evening dining, the ambience could be enhanced by dimming the overhead lights and placing small light fixtures on the tables. Overall it was a great experience and we look forward to returning each season as the menu changes. FYI, the Spring Menu drink/food items ordered were Stags’ Leap chardonnay, spicy watermelon margarita, ice tea, lettuce wraps, Spring rolls, lettuce wraps, New York strip, pork loin, bronzino, shrimp paisano and fresh baked sourdough loaf. For desert, we shared the fresh sorbet trio, bread pudding with vanilla ice cream and lemon blueberry cheesecake. Everything was delicious!
