We really enjoyed our steak, we split a meal and they were fine with it! Even offered to split it prior to serving us. Very accommodating! Their raspberry lemon drop was DELISH! Friendly staff. Overall 100%

As we entered, the owner, William, greeted us. Everyone was smiling, and the entire ambience was one of harmony. Our waiter, Austin, was friendly and efficient. The food was exquisite- scallops and shrimp were meaty and delicious, and the filet was perfect. I would come back in heartbeat.

The sides have reduced in size and quality of ingredients. Bread is now a fee and less of it (hardly enough for 2 people). Although the steak and Chilean WSB was on point. Will come back, but will be making new decisions.

Bistango, is an exceptional staple of the OC places to dine. Strangely it was the trend setter of its time in the early 1990's. Today it is holding a tradition of restaurants that are going out of style. The service was exceptional. Our server is one reason we go. Jose is personal and proficient. We were being cared for and not just served. People were coming to check on us even if they were not our designated server. The food was excellent. Every dish we ordered wowed us with combinations of flavors and textures tantalizing our palettes. I insisted my wife try a taste of my food as well and vice versa. Long ago, Bistango used to have entertainment that was icing on the cake. Sounds of live jazz, Hispanic music, and piano bar were the norm which suited the quality food and classy environment. Last night was different for us. When paying as much I would have thought the entertainment would be reflective. Retro 70's 80's bands are more akin to a wedding reception. The band was professional and good sound. However, it was loud and more like a bar with people dancing. This is a festive feel but detracts from the ambience of nicer environments. I would conclude this critique by stating diners today have better taste in food but may lack in inclination to music that suits its finer tastes.
