I made a reservation for my husband’s birthday, and I highly recommend doing so, as by 5 pm there were already people waiting. Our table was perfect, and the atmosphere was relaxed and pleasant, with music at a good volume. Everything we ordered was excellent: the Housemade Parkerhouse bread and Oysters Rockefeller were delicious—you must try them! The carrots were an excellent side dish with a great combination of flavors.
As for the 16oz Prime Ribeye, the meat was delicious, but in our opinion, overly salty, just like the Beef Wellington. They should ask if guests prefer as much salt as they use on the meat and adjust accordingly. For dessert, we had the Baked Alaska; it wasn’t one of my favorites, but it was my first time trying it, and I wouldn’t order it again. I also ordered a Baileys ($11) it was disappointing. What they serve is a joke compared to other restaurants where I’ve had the same drink.
For drinks, we had the Barrel-Aged Old Fashioned and the Oak Smoked Manhattan—both were excellent, and I appreciate that they serve the cocktails strong. The service was generally good, though at times I felt a bit of hostility from our waiter, which made me feel slightly uncomfortable. I had also made a special request when I placed the reservation, which I had to repeat to the waiter, but in the end, it couldn’t be accommodated. Other than that, the service was excellent.
