I selected Neo's for a celebration dinner the night before returning home after dropping off my daughter at SCAD for her sophomore year. Everything about the evening was truly special. We were seated at a table next to the window alongside the bar. It was a quieter area as there were several large parties in the dining room. This allowed for quiet conversation and enjoyment of the wonderful food. Our server was absolutely fantastic... I only wish I could remember his name (writing this upon arriving home and can't seem to pull it out of my brain) He was so welcoming and informative about the menu in a casual and friendly way. The restaurant had just introduced a new menu that day, so he was honest about what he was familiar with and those things he had not yet experienced himself. He guided us to order perfectly! The actual food was amazing. We had the brie appetizer to share and then the duck, fish of the day and salmon entrees. All were perfectly prepared. We also enjoyed wonderful wine that complimented our food perfectly. We were tempted to stay for dessert, but Leopold's beckoned. Next time we'll make sure to plan that on a separate evening... Definitely try this restaurant out... I know I'll be back next time I'm in Savannah.

First time visitors; however definitely not rookies to good low country cuisine. My friend had the steamed shrimp and loved the seasoning on them as well as the drawn butter. I had the pine bark stew. As I noted earlier, I am no rookie to Lowcountry seafood dishes, having been raised in South Carolina’s Midlands. That said I had never had Pinebark stew before, but the ingredients were intriguing. Wow! A new favorite. Lots of fish, scallops, shrimp, and clams. Big chunks of tomato and potato. A broth that brought it all together in an amazing way. This was a company the small loaf of French bread that was perfect for soaking in the juices to finish off the dish. I truly love this. Portion was so large. I was allowed to share some of it with my dinner friend who also loved the flavor complexity. Great staff. Perfect feel to the restaurant and the live music fit the overall theme of seafood in a casual setting.
