Terroni Adelaide, formerly the York County Courthouse, is a multi-level heritage structure built in 1852. Just inside the doors is the Enoteca with its towering columns, a great spot for cocktails. Beyond is the main dining room, with a sunlit atrium, fireplaces on each end and private rooms all serviced by an open kitchen where our chefs prepare traditional Italian fare. In summer, the secret garden patio opens for al fresco dining in the heart of the city.Head down to the Cantina Wine Cellar where you will see the original courthouse cells now used to store our Italian wine. The second floor houses the grand Sala da Pranzo and Bar delle Carceri, named after the cells below.     We had booked dinner before a show and this was a great choice, service was friendly, passionate about the menu, and unhurried leaving us to really enjoy the meal at our pace. Food was excellent although, personally, I would have added a touch more salt, suggested wine was really good, and this set us up for an amazing evening! Thank you!!!

    La Betola is an excellent place for dinner. Whether in groups or on a date, I could tell people were having a good time and enjoying the food and drinks. It was a perfect dinner spot before catching a show at Massey Hall.

    Kale salad with pine - refreshing and tasty Calamari - crispy and perfectly cooked Grilled Octopus - amazing flavour but came out on the colder side Braised beef pasta - sauce was really good but pasta texture was hard and came to table at room temperature. Expected this dish to be on the hot side but wasn’t so. While all the dishes we ordered tasted amazing, the temperature of the food was a bit disappointing. I like my food hot especially on a cold night. After pointing this out to our server Tiago, he immediately took it back and brought us a fresh plate that was nice and hot. They proceeded to offer us free dessert which was much appreciated. All in all the food is very good but the service from Tiago was even better. Will definitely be going back!
