First time here, Arthur our server was very attentive and made excellent wine choices. We had the calamari, sardines, black cod and grilled octopus. All top drawer and in keeping with a fine dining experience we expected from this restaurant. Portions are very generous and would be good for sharing. We booked for lunch the next day!!

Decided to come here for the bottomless mimosas and the price, taste, and value did not disappoint! We ended up ordering some food as well which was amazing. The waitress was accommodating to my allergies which I loved. We enjoyed the music (playing amapiano, hip hop and rnb) and decor as well! All in all it was an amazing experience and I would definitely recommend Makao for a cute drink and appy experience!

When we arrived at the restaurant the hostess didn't even say hello to us. I told her my name and time of reservation and that was it. She didn't say a word to us. Not a great way to welcome your clients. We took this reservation 1 month in advance to have a great experience, i just feel like the hostess didn't really care about us. Also, she seated us right in front of the kitchen when multiple other table were open at the front of the restaurant. Our waitress saved the day though, she was so nice and helpful, she made our night way better! The food was great as well, we had a good time overall because of her.
