Best Mediterranean Restaurants in Stanley Park

Another great time at The Greek Yaletown. Had our usually items such as Greek salad, hummus, moussaka. Thanks The Greek by Anatoli.

Everything was fresh and made with top-notch ingredients. The hummus was amazing, and every dish was tasty!

We almost never dine downtown. We had several hours to burn as “Prom Chauffers” for the evening, so we decided to find a restaurant in the area. Based on recommendations, roads pointed to Hydra. Glad we made a reservation, it was top-notch! We were impressed with the friendly staff that greeted us, and that they were able to seat us at our table early. The ambiance was so tasteful and welcoming, yet approachable for middle class “tourists” from the Tri Cities. As we waited for the well-timed courses of our meal to arrive, I sipped a Greek cocktail, which was perfection. (It was called “The Plaka” if I recall. Reminded me of an Old Fashioned). We enjoyed delicious, fresh tzatziki, octopus, and the roast chicken platter. The octopus was meaty and flavourful, not chewy. The chicken was piping hot, flavourful, moist, served family-style with veggies and sauces, and was presented beautifully. We will recommend Hydra to friends and family, as well as visiting business colleagues. It is perfect for a couple, or for a larger group. The warm lighting, sensible background music, and general ambience encourage conversation as you enjoy your time there. Staff are friendly and skilled at timing your meal so as not to make you feel rushed out the door. Even the washroom is interesting, literally tells you tales of mythological lore while you’re in there! Thank you for a wonderful experience ☺️👍🏻

Great food and great service! Super accommodating staff who allowed 9 of us to celebrate together and order a la carte. We all had a great time!

We were hoping for a table and it became available- thank you. Service was top notch with great recommendations. The chef’s tasting menu was delicious and innovating. A lovely addition to the neighbourhood- I will return!
