- LLisaToronto / Ontario •5 reviews5.0Dined 6 days agoThe hospitality you receive here is unmatched. From the outside you don’t think this restaurant is big but it has different levels and is bigger than you think but really beautiful inside. We were seated in the smaller dining room and it was nice ambience. We were welcomed and wished a happy anniversary by an older gentleman who is likely the owner perhaps. It was a really nice touch. Then we ordered some drinks and wine. We had no appetizers as we wanted to have enough room for the main event which is the steak. We were brought out some complimentary cheddar bread pop overs and garlic butter and they were so delicious. Next before our main course, a selection of salts and sauces for your steak. This made the experience even more top tier. Other tables had ordered the table side Caesar salad. We’ve been to other restaurants where the Caesar salad gets made in front of you and it’s always delicious and fresh. We would have opted for this had we been hungrier but I do recommend it as an option here for splitting for the table if you’d like it. Everyone seemed to enjoy it. We then got our steaks. I had the 6oz strip loin and my husband the 12oz. It was just enough. We ordered two sides - potato gratin and baby carrots. We ate half of them. A side can do two people each perfectly so had we four people that would have been enough, but again depends on your hunger level. After dinner we had the pecan caramel brownie and ice cream. This was unbelievably delicious, the ice cream was obviously made in house as it was so creamy and delicious. 13/10 recommend this restaurant to treat yourself to a night out or if it’s in your budget to go often, I know I’d be returning more.More infoJacobs & Co.
