Best Tapas Restaurants in Toronto / Ontario

I’ve eaten at a lot of places, but Hawker stands out in a way few do. Every dish had so much depth and intention behind it. My palate felt completely satisfied, even surprised. My friend and I actually left wanting to come back the very next day, which says everything. We had the à la carte and tried the Spring, Flora, God’s Work, Bushfire, Valley, and for dessert, The Orchard. We couldn’t even pick a favourite because everything we tried was just that good. Not a single dish fell flat or felt like filler. Each one didn’t just deliver, it genuinely impressed us. We had the pleasure of sitting at the chef’s table and chatting with Rachel and Cam (our chefs for the evening), who generously walked us through the inspiration and ingredients behind each dish. You could genuinely feel the care and thought the head chef put into every element, not just in the earthy and rich flavours, but in the colours and plating too. The produce was always the star, paired in clever and unexpected ways leaving us always wanting more. Thank you to the wonderful staff and chefs! We’ll be back very soon

This was our first time at Byblos. The staff were friendly and welcoming. They were also very patient and helpful in making food recommendations. Service was attentive and the food was excellent. We'll go back for sure.

Great food, Paella is a must! Slightly on pricey side for food.

The server was very personable and the chef coming over to check on the food was very nice! It is very quiet on weekdays between 5-8PM which is quite lovely if noisy environments overwhelm you. The food was well crafted and balanced (the sweet fried eggplant dish with ricotta was a favourite!) and the cocktails were complex and yummy. The desserts were a hit for me and a slight miss for my partner but I appreciated both the creativity and variance in textures. A great spot overall, and a place we’ll come back to for dates!
