Incredibly innovative cuisisne. The ability to tap into all the flavor profiles of every ingredient is amazing. The “meatballs” were full of flavor and the red sauce excellent. The angnolotti and tortelli were exceptionally full of fresh flavors.the garlic mushrooms are a must have.

Atmosphere and food was great! We had the burger, kids mac&cheese and poutine. Poutine was yummy but the portion is small considering the price. Also tried the blood orange shandy, would recommend! Would suggest making reservations online beforehand. We made reservations for 12:45 on a Monday, still had to wait in line. Server took a while to come around to our table - maybe short staffed. Saw alot of empty tables that were finished but not cleared. Overall would still recommend and visit again. Prices are reasonable and vibes unbeatable.

My dream was to go to 11 Park Ave, NYC, but, well... Instead I found this plant-based fine dining restaurant and that's where I decided to take my guest. The service was great, the space is lovely, the non-alcoholic drink menu was a bonus. We came for the 5 course tasting menu. It was interesting, innovative, but sadly, for me, not a mouth-watering "I've died and gone to heaven" flavour experience. My guest enjoyed a few more items. I liked the 4th course with black-eyed pea tempeh on the smokey carrot puree; and the rhubarb pavlova was great. We were seated in the bar area because AC wasn't working in the dining room and I wonder if the music playlist is different upstairs. It didn't suit the ambiance. I love plant-based meals and am supportive of plant-based fine dining. Not having been to 11 Park, I can't compare, but suspect the flavours would be better. Maybe? Anyway, we had a great time and I would try it again.

My husband and I celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary at Bar Avelo, and we’re so glad we chose it. The staff made us feel genuinely special, and the whole evening had a relaxed, welcoming vibe. The food was creative and delicious, and everything just felt really well done. Big thanks to everyone at Bar Avelo for helping make the night memorable.
