   Every dish we ordered was tasty, well-prepared and beautifully presented: the whipped feta and tahini dip, the Kurobuta pork ribs and the roasted salmon. Our server Erika was highly attentive and pleasant… and gave us excellent recommendations, especially on the El Matador cocktail and the ribs. After a bit of a wait to be seated for our 7:00 pm reservation, Erika made the evening special! The valet parking crew was efficient and pleasant as well. Overall, a terrific experience… and we’ll be inclined to dine at a Culinary Dropout location when we next visit the Phoenix area.

   Had never been there before but had heard great things. Service was fantastic! Very attentive. Food was good. The downside was the price compared to what you got. Big price little portion. Or maybe we just didn’t order the best. The Slicer for $29 was NOT worth it. Should have gotten the pretzels. The Korean steak- good but not worth it in terms of a meal.    Had to wait even with lots of open tables. (We did arrive early for our reservation) They never bussed the table throughout our meal, just left all our empty dishes on the table and then brought new refills and left all the empty glasses on the table as well. By the time dinner was over with 5 people it was a mess. The menu was nice and all our food was really good.

   The 3 stars for service was for all the hostess girls that gathers in the desk and check you in. Instead of talking about their personal stuff they should put more attention to customers when arriving. All of them Ignored me for a good period of time… finally someone else (not the hostess) check me in. The rest of our evening was perfect… our food, our drinks and our server was very good! Oh, btw… if you have a reservation get there exactly at the time of your reservation… when you get 15 minutes early they make you wait till it’s you time, even when there is several tables available!

   This Culinary Dropout was crowded and noisy. I am sure the proximity to ASU is the reason. Having said that the food was good and the service was fine. The Scottsdale location seems a bit more upscale. Okay for a casual lunch.

    Food and drinks are delicious! We went on a Friday night, it was very loud making conversations or hearing our service staff very difficult. Much quieter environment during lunch, at least from our experience!

    We typically go to another location. We had a reservation. There were seven people at the front. They had multiple open tables but couldn’t seem to get it figured out until the manger came over. Then they texted that the table was ready they told us to follow someone, which we did only to find out she was going to seat a bridal party. Completely disorganized. Our server was fantastic.

    The food was terrible. Desserts were awful. Fish and chips were so soggy and soft. Fries were not edible. This is the 2nd chance we have this place and will not return again. Very disappointed. Wait staff was very nice and almost too attentive. Still didn’t make up for paying for food we didn’t even eat

    🤦‍♀️ Horrible service after waiting 15min past my reservation I had to wait another 20mins before the server come to ask for my drink selection but bout time they could ask I was already on my way out the door to go to a place of respect Quality and a better food menu. Never again and will not ever recommend this place. But this was mine and my dates experience. Good luck if you decide to reverse and Eat at 👎🏾 culinary dropout 👎🏻

    I was born and raised in Las Vegas, nv so when it comes to service i know a thingnor two. When a pwrson has a reservation and shows up early, the general rule is to get them seated because the other appointments will fill in or fall into place. Not here ended up showing up an hour early and had to sit an wait till my exact reservation time before getting seated. Then valet lost our car which yook another 30 min to find. Poor service and attitude by the reception staff

    Ordered potato chips, almonds, asparagus, meatloaf and monkey bread. All delicious. Would come back to try the other items. Service was excellent. We mentioned we were sharing the dishes and the dishes were split into two without us asking. Great ambience and deco.

    Mother’s Day visit. The food is always amazing at Culinary Drop Out however, the wait time was off by 15 or so minutes and our server was not as attentive as I would have liked considering the amount your going to spend and a 20% plus tip. I don’t expect I should have to track you down for water, napkins etc. I also believe more can be done with the “outside seating “ when it comes to keeping flies away I shouldn’t have to fight with the bugs while eating.

    We had reservations for six on Mother's Day for 1:00 pm. We arrived at 12:55 pm and were offered a high top (not a regular table.) We were told it would be 30 minutes or more for a regular table. We placed our order as soon as the waitress appeared, but our food was not delivered until 2:07 pm. The restaurant was not full so the delay must have been in the kitchen. The live music was also louder than we expected. We'll find another restaurant for our next family event.

    We had a party of 8 with some older folks and asked to sit at a lower table and they said no since they had a reservation for that spot (we made a reservation as well) and they sat 6 people at the 8 person table we asked for. The young hostess was just overwhelmed and couldn't figure it out.

    We were from out-of-town to celebrate my son's and his girlfriend's college graduation. The food tasted really good but we thought the portions were small for the price we paid as compared to the standard, brand-named franchise restaurants. My son ordered the ravioli and it had only 5-6 small pieces with very little sauce. We ended up sharing our leftover meals with him. The sandwiches and salads were smaller too. I had the fish and chips which I thought was the best price value for size and taste. It also took about at least 40-45 minutes when we got our food after we placed our orders but it was a busy night since were a lot of other graduation celebrations going on. Our server treated us right and was very helpful.

    Always have a tasty dinner and great time here! My only complaint is the temperature. They had the AC turned up way too high for some reason. Everyone was freezing including the servers. And when some of us approached the front desk about it, we were told that management wouldn’t do anything about it. So we actually ended up leaving early because the temperature was so uncomfortable.

    The food was good however it was freezing in the area we were seated. The food did not stay hot long due to the AC fans/ventilation all pointed at our area of the restaurant. We were there for more than an hour before we received our meals. Not anything the server could have done about it; she was apologetic about the situation. Unfortunately she was apologizing to ALL of her tables for the same reason - very slow kitchen.

    I previously visited Culinary Dropout in Scottsdale and I don't find the Tempe one to have the same quality. Food was OK but cold, service was slow. But overall it was still pleasant, just not as good as I had expected
