   Came in from Chicago and wanted to meet up with a friend I hadn't seen in ages. Happened upon this restaurant and haphazardly chose it due to its location. The service was IMPECCABLE and the food was pretty good. Lovely ambiance and atmosphere but our waiter was a ROCK STAR!!!

    Vibe was cool, cocktails were great and service was fantastic. Unfortunately, the food was unimpressive. I ordered from the AZ restaurant week menu. The meatloaf plate was very ordinary. The meatloaf, mashed potatoes, and green beans were boring and unflavored. Maybe they could have seasoned the meatloaf more and then seared it before serving? Perhaps roasted garlic mashed potatoes and sautéed green beans? People have so many choices of restaurants in Scottsdale. I recommend Culinary Dropout do something to kick up the end result of their food. My experience was not what I expected based on others reviews.

    I made the reservation thru Open Table. The table was ready at the exact time that I reserved. I had arranged dinner with my son, and they gave us sufficient time to catch up (talk), without asking or bothering us to order. The food was brought timely, and wait staff was very accommodating! Well done!

    Our server (don’t know his name) was so great to chat with. Engaging and fun to talk to. Drinks were so good - the Evil Jungle Princess - was like drinking paradise. I had the salmon and husband had the fried chicken. The banana bar dessert was AMAZING.

    Food was great and we will definitely return. The wait staff was also great. It was Mother's Day and they had some slow downs in the kitchen, as one would expect. We weren't in a hurry, but appreciated an unsolicited visit from the manager apologizing for the delay. I would have given full stars , but when we arrived for our reserved table on the patio, they sat us at a table in the sun. I requested to sit at a nearby open table in the shade. We had 5 people and the table was set for 5 people. The hostess said that the open table was reserved for 6 and they would be adding a chair when the folks arrived. Well, they arrived about 10 minutes later and there were only 5 people. I don't appreciate the lie. Even if there was a no-show, 6 people could have also sat at our table. Fortunately, the sun went down about 20 minutes later and it wasn't an issue.

    The service and food was great but it was SO HOT INSIDE!!!! We all thought maybe the AC broke??? Everyone in my party was sweating and fanning themselves the entire time. Unfortunately, we won’t be back during summer if that isn’t fixed.

    Appetizers, Food, Dessert, Service great. What idiot thought it was smart to have the BAR windows open in PHX during the day. Wife and I were born in PHX so the 85 degrees in the Main dining room was tolerable. Saw 6 patron table leave for a total of 25 people due to the heat. Having the BAR windows to the outside so people can seat a the bar while outside may work in a cooler place, but not PHX. AC was ON, but with the windows open no change. Will return after sun down or sit in patio with misters. Only place cool inside was the restrooms.

    I don’t remember the name of our waiter but he was awesome. He was very kind and friendly, he was very patient with us as we had a child with us that was needing a little more time to choose what they wanted to eat. We had a great experience.

    The food was delicious and the service was great, however, it was very, very, very hot! I'm not sure if this is normal for this location, or if we just caught them on a no air conditioning day. Overall, I will return, but maybe in the Fall.

    We loved everything about Culinary Dropout. The only "complaint" would be the temperature. I made a res for indoor seating cuz I knew it would be hot outside. The doors and windows were all open and we didn't have the luxery of the water misters. It was uncomfortable heat. We did mention it and I think they turned on the AC but it was still pretty hot. That wouldn't stop us from returning, everything else was outstanding.

    We were celebrating a graduation. We enjoyed the food, but the service could have been better. The hostess greeted us by saying they had double booked the table so we had a deadline. As it turned out they didn’t need the table so she soured the experience for no reason.

    Service was awful. Our drinks sat dry for over 20 minutes, even after our food was delivered. I had to flag down another server for a refill. I do not recommend the brunch chicken and biscuits… it is not breakfast chicken and biscuits. It is a giant, bone in chicken breast, covered in brown gravy (not white), and served with a flat, dry biscuit. Not worth $17. I would take Cracker Barrel’s chicken fried chicken over this any day.

    Overall good. Very loud...difficult to have conversations, but it was a Saturday afternoon so somewhat expected. Food was good but took almost 30 min. We weren't in a hurry so didn't bother us. Waitress was great
