Food and service were fantastic. Lighting in the booths was very harsh, could use warmer lights or dimmer lights.

Dai Due's breakfast is seriously one of the best I've had in my adult life. Reminds me of when I was a child and my grandmother made everything fresh with farm raised produce/meat/dairy.

Dai Due never disappoints. I've never gone there and had anything go wrong. Their weekend brunch items... apple hand pie.. sometimes they do lard fried donuts. So good.

We believe we were given an incorrect glass or wine. We asked out wait staff to help us out and we’re told we were wrong. I have the same bottle at home and am nearly positive we were correct.

Popped in on a Saturday afternoon. We went in with tunnel vision for their pastrami sandwich. Our server, Jordan suggested we try the pork semita sandwich and I am glad we did! It was packed with flavor and so tender. Set in a broth that created a spoon fight between my husband and I. We shared a side of fries and a carafe of some Texas orange wine. We really enjoyed ourselves and look forward to returning!

Excellent food! We went with many of the recommendations from the waiter including mushrooms and sourdough, taquitos, Wagu steak and wild boar. In addition the duck fat fries were divine! Note the establishment is a bit loud, and they only serve beer and wine. Neat experience upon arrival from casual butcher counter at the entrance leading into a date night worthy, farm-to-table experience.

I love the concept, but not the delivery. The waitress confirmed it was my birthday dinner with a nod, no warm wishes, and then proceeded to point me to the drink menu. She showed me two options for mocktails, that were mostly peach juice. There was not another mention of the occasion, which left a bad taste in my mouth. Why note an occasion if you are going to carry on as usual? The meat board was good and interesting. Pate, meat butter, and bierwurst were wonderful but the bread was overtoasted, dry, and bulky. We struggled to get a grip on the meats and thinly sliced pickled veggies with our dull forks, which felt awkward. The tartare came with bread charred to a crisp, was chewy and overpowered by dill. Very unique indeed. The pork porterhouse was sadly on the dry side but had decent flavor. The meatballs were agreeable and reminded me of cevapcici or kofta kebab. Sauerkraut was phenomenal. Some of the best I’ve had since Munich. The cucumbers and yogurt which accompanied the meatballs. I love the concept and had a lovely brunch experience ordering a sloppy pastrami sandwich, but for a birthday dinner, I wish I had chosen somewhere that consistently delivers on meats. It is not very intimate because you are elbow to elbow with the next table and you can hear every kitchen sound. If you are noise sensitive, be wary. It was charming for brunch but not for dinner. For the price, I had thought it couldn’t be hit or miss.

It’s so amazing to eat food that is locally obtained and made into such tasty menu items. While it’s a little expensive, it’s understandable considering the effort it takes to assemble food products from a lot of different sources as opposed to obtaining it from one or two big business food purveyors. I have recommended DaiDue to everyone I know so that they can savor the true tastes of Texas!

A Culinary Delight at Dai Due After years of anticipation, my visit to Dai Due was nothing short of a gastronomic revelation. This restaurant, renowned for its commitment to locally sourced food, exceeded my expectations in every way. From the moment we walked in, the service was impeccable. The staff was attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about their offerings. They guided us through the menu with ease, making our dining experience all the more enjoyable. The meal began with an appetizer of Nilgai tartar served on toasted baguettes. The tartar was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned, providing a delightful start to our culinary journey. The toasted baguettes added a satisfying crunch, creating a harmonious blend of textures. For the main course, I indulged in the Nilgai filet. Cooked to perfection, the meat was tender and succulent, bursting with rich, earthy flavors that were truly unforgettable. My wife opted for the snapper filet, served in a corn shrimp puree sauce with grilled okra. The fish was cooked to perfection, flaky and moist, while the sauce added a unique depth of flavor. The grilled okra was a delightful surprise, adding a smoky note to the dish. We also shared a side of mashed hominy grits with cheese and jalapeños. This dish was a revelation in itself. The grits were creamy and comforting, while the cheese added a delightful richness. The jalapeños provided a kick of heat, making this side dish a standout. The grand finale of our meal was the dessert - an apple cake ice cream served with fresh apple butter. This was a perfect end to our meal. The ice cream was creamy and refreshing, with the apple cake pieces adding a delightful crunch. The fresh apple butter was a sweet, tangy accompaniment that elevated the dessert to new heights. In conclusion, Dai Due is a culinary gem that offers a unique dining experience. The commitment to local sourcing is evident in the quality and freshness of their dishes. The service

Dai Due was THE restaurant my adult son wanted to dine at while on our Texas trip. He is a hunter who loves to cook, and use all parts of the animal, and had heard about Dai Due on the show MeatEaters. We had made reservations for brunch. The atmosphere was casual and inviting. Our waitress was so pleasant and helpful. The food was beautifully presented, and absolutely delicious! We all tasted each others and couldn’t decide whose was the best as each dish was one we would order again. I will definitely eat there again the next time I’m in Austin.
