At DaiLo, we believe eating well is a fundamental part of living well, and how we cook, reflects how we live. Thoughtful and high quality ingredients lead to better lives and more delicious meals. Our New Asian Cuisine is predominantly Chinese fare but it follows the French tradition. At the heart of the menu is a love and respect for the dishes Chef Nick Liu ate growing up as the son of Hakka parents in Canada, but importantly, they are the dishes his ancestors have been eating for hundreds of years. Ancient favourites are augmented by Liu’s signature flair and updated to suit the western palate and the modern demand for local and sustainable ingredients.

This was my second time going to DaiLo and this time we did the Chef's Choice - I mentioned I'd had the pumpkin dumplings before and the waitress made sure to put them on our menu. Food was amazing, really good value for money and a lot of food - everything was delicious. Wine runs at $60+ a bottle so keep that in mind for budgeting dinner. All in all amazing second experience and I will keep going back for sure :)

The fusion of french and chinese blends so surprisingly well. Very happy my server suggested a tasting menu since i was by myself. Every dish had they' re own characteristics and was executed perfectly. I can't praise this place enough.

This was my second time eating at DaiLo. On our most recent time, we took good friends to try the tasting menu. They loved it! We loved it! The food and service is excellent. The servers are all knowledgeable, friendly and very professional. Eating at DaiLo is experiential - all your senses get activated. My wife and I love spending a night out at DaiLo. Wife’s Birthday!
Jeff, Michelle and the team were so accommodating and were kind enough to move our table of 3 at the bar to the dining table! Extremely knowledgeable and friendly staff and incredible food! Thanks Dai Lo!

My wife specifically asked for no cilantro with the tasting menu, and yet, one dish came out with cilantro garnish. instead of apologizing, one of the waiters tried to tell us it was a pea shoots. Shortly after, a manager came over and picked off the cilantro with a pair of chopsticks in front of all four of us who are at dinner. There was no apology, and no acknowledgement of my wife being put out by this. We have been to this restaurant more than 10 times, and we very much want to support what they’re doing. The executive chef Nick has been very friendly with this in the past. Could you please communicate to the restaurant that acknowledging the problem and apologizing is the best way to deal with customers. We want to return, but it will take a lot for my wife to feel welcome again.

This was quite possibly the best meal I've ever had....and I'm in the food business....and frequent a lot of restaurants. In addition to the absolutely creative and delicious dishes, the passion and enthusiasm of all the staff made this an incredible experience. I cannot wait to get back there again. #go #asap

Dai Lo blew me away. The tasting menu was worth every penny. The pork jowl and the pumpkin dumpling were some of the best and most notable dishes I have had the pleasure of experiencing. The service was friendly, attentive and very knowledgable. We had a fantastic experience, thank you Dai Lo!

Food and service were outstanding! Highly recommend chefs choice menu. Every dish was a delicious surprise! So much soul and creativity goes into the food here. Wine list is great. Take recommendations from the Sommeliers. Will be back soon!! Thanks for such an amazing experience!

We had the tasting menu and the delight and care the staff took in sharing each course with us really made the night special. The food was out of this world. The restaurant is beautiful. But it’s the knowledgeable and fun staff who made our evening truly exceptional! Thank you!!

I had a poor experience with the food. I order almost every item to try each item for the first time. The duck tasted amazing and the base of the ribs were a bit dry. The appetizer for the tuna tasted pretty decent. The beef carpaccio beef slice was to thin. Overall I will not return again until you guys improve your food menu.

Excellent food as usual! The food service was impeccable and all wait staff is quite knowledgeable of the products.
Each person in our three people party started off with a glass of wine and then we ordered one bottle of wine to be shared amongst us. We were surprised, disappointed and hurt when the waitress told us it would be the last bottle she’d sell to us. We hadn’t drink before the meal and we were showing no sign of intoxication... I understand the smart serve idea, but this was insulting! Three well behaved 30 something women having dinner at 6pm so one of them can be up for her baby the next morning being caught off like that seems ridiculous.
One more disappointing aspect was the truffle rice I ordered for my husband to bring him home: the portion was exceptionally tiny (less than half the container) for $22! I only noticed once home... is that normal?
I will still give another chance to DaiLo as the food is the best in the GTA.

We ordered the tasting menu and were rewarded with wonderfully, eclectic, unexpected flavour combinations. Octopus tacos were tender, beef carpaccio to die for, fried watermelon, melt in your mouth pumpkin dumplings with shaved truffles, braised mushrooms, cauliflower curry and the crowning glory, the whole fried Giggie trout. Lots of fresh chilies and lime leaves, along with hints of star anise and other cantonese aromas infused the dishes. We paired this with small pours of a variety of sake chosen for us by a very knowledgeable staffer. It was a tough decision because the wine selection is very tempting. All in all a great last minute birthday meal. My only complaint is that the bar seating is not comfortable.

Had a fantastic time for our anniversary dinner. I would definitely come back and try their tasting menu again. Only thing is, I wish their bar stools were more comfortable. By the end of the night, my back was aching.

The food was amazing - really different but so tasty. I have been to a number of Michelin star restaurants & this would equally compete. My favourite was the pumpkin dumplings.
The waiters were very knowledgeable about the food they were serving. The wine menu was different ( a lot of unknown brands) but the sommelier was happy to go through them.
So glad we found this gem.

Such a great experience. If you enjoy lopan you will certainly love it here. My boyfriend and I really loved every single dish from the tasting menu. It was nice to make adjustments based on our wants! Every plate was unique and delicious. The duck, so good! Eden was attentive and very pleasant. She made our experience even more enjoyable. We will be coming back and bringing friends next time! Thanks again!

Dark and cozy, hip, delicious. We were seated at the bar, and we had a reservation, so we wondered why we didn't get a table. But we ended up enjoying the bartender and her food recommendations.

Great waiter... For awhile.. Way to much salt. I like the beginning and was thinking wow want to come here again and at the end I was that was ok.
More attention in the kitchen and throw away the salt shaker and this place is great
