Our New Asian Cuisine is predominantly Chinese fare but it follows the French tradition. At the heart of the menu is a love and respect for the dishes Chef Nick Liu ate growing up as the son of Hakka parents in Canada, but importantly, they are the dishes his ancestors have been eating for hundreds of years. Ancient favourites are augmented by Liu’s signature flair and updated to suit the western palate and the modern demand for local and sustainable ingredients.

Always challenging to get a reservation at DaiLo but finally managed one for a Saturday evening! Well worth the trouble!

All the dishes we tried were delicious, with interesting combinations and great depth of umami and spicy flavors. Standouts were the cabbage, braised lamb and fried rice. Service was friendly and attentive. Love the Chinese decor! Cocktails were yummy.

Would definitely recommend!

As a vegetarian, I really enjoyed this restaurant! The waitress actually gave you her full attention and added to the experience with her calming presence. I'm really happy I stumbled upon this place. Their tofu feature and their pumpkin dumplings are wow!

I must warn you, it tastes so good you will notice that the portions are not enough

The waiter was well informed and was very personable. He removed one of the dishes off our bill that we didn’t like (kale and chicharron salad). And in addition to that, he brought out a mini sorbet dessert (without dairy for my husband) for my husband’s 30th birthday. Great experience overall, we’ll be back again! Thanks DaiLo!

In a word -- extraordinary. First time there and I wasn't sure what to expect, even though my son raved about it. Food was sublime -- lobster on a bed of crispy noodles, delicately truffles pumpkin dumplings, their take on ma po tofu to name a few. They were very accommodating of the pescatarian in the group. Service was impeccable - Jeffrey was well versed and charming and Shannon kept our glasses full. Great decor and ambiance. Will be back soon

terrific food with very interesting selections. Serving staff were excellent and most helpful with recommendations. quite busy -- rather noisy but clearly a popular spot , which is well deserved.
would definitely return.

Service and ambiance was TOP notch! The tasting menu is very worth it if you are trying dai lo for the first time. I would definitely recommend their small plates over their entrees though. I had the duck and the presentation was beautiful, but the meat was a little dry. Their small plates on the other hand are absolutely incredible. My Top 3 Picks: Sweet and sour pork. Ma Po Tofu. Octopus Tacos.

I have had 3 excellent meals at Dailo. The food is interesting and delicious, and the service is very good. Their drink selection is good too - I enjoy their cocktails, my husband appreciates their beer selection. My one complaint is that the tasting menu took 3 hours to get through, which isn't uncommon, but is too long for my personal preference and comfort.

Enjoyed my time here once again. As the menu changes seasonally, I haven't become jaded by the food here. Especially tasty we're the pumpkin/squash dumplings in a soy/butter sauce with perigord truffle shavings. Wine and drinks selection was extensive enough to satisfy all but the pickiest diner. A return will not come soon enough.
