Staff are nice and accommodating for us they were a bit slow Beef rague tasty but dry beef - skip it Southwestern chicken soup delicious Lobster chowder skip it Shrimp scampi delicious Hot Fudge Sunday and Indian pudding tasty and typical Coconut Mai ti delicious Dinning area very out dated, rug needs replacing, the windows that look out towards a garden should be washed inside and out, daily, especially after storms, fall, rain, snow anything that will scew the view felt we were seated in the haunted mansion, sit on the otherside of the room, nope, still felt creepy with creepy music...We're in our late sixties Tip, ask all your questions

The service was the worst we very had and we have gone every year for the past 12 years at which time we held our wedding there. Yesterday we were seated 10 minutes after our reservation and no one came back to our table for 25 minutes. Our water glasses remained empty, and we were not offered anything. Finally, a waitress approached our table as if we had just arrived though she acknowledged they were working short. She was disorganized, slow-paced, and scattered. We ordered coffee and our meal at the same time assuming it would take a while even though it was breakfast fare. My order came out wrong however, I decided to just go with it. Food was nothing special which was not what we are accustomed to when visiting this restaurant. The entire experience was so disappointing as we have loved this place for the sentimental reason it holds for us. We are hoping it was just a very off day for them but the actions and attitude was telling us differently. So sad.

I have been dining at the Daniel Webster Inn for several years. I wanted to write to say how lovely their breakfast is. The menu choice is excellent. Food is excellent and the service is always excellent.

Fabulous meal in the bar with a wonderful guitarist/singer. Service by the two waitresses excellent. Became a bit noisy later on with the arrival of a large number of guests from a wedding in the hotel, but it didn’t spoil the evening. We've booked in again tonight!

One of the better dinners I have had. My wife enjoyed her 1/2 order of salmon. However, Coming out the restaurant exit, it was very dark, and the last step was shorter than the other steps. I lost my balance on the last step fell into my wife, knock her down. We spent the day at medical facilities. She has a mild concussion.

My wife and I were celebrating our 40th anniversary. She ordered the scallops, I ordered the salmon. We both ordered lobster chowder for our appetizer. The lobster chowder was awesome! The scallops were nicely seared and tasty. The salmon was good although a bit overcooked I thought, perhaps this was the method of cooking that did it (wok). The rice, bok choy and other vegetables were nicely cooked and seasoned. For our dessert, our server recommended a flight of four small desserts. They were all wonderful and made it a perfect finish!

Our server was great, I loved the section on the menu where you could pick “bin ends” (who gets a bottle of mersault for US$50?). But the food and ambience were slightly underwhelming.

Tge hostess greeted us enthusiastically and we were seated promptly. The atmosphere in the solarium is very lovely and relaxing. Our waitress was attentive, but the delivery of the food was a bit slow. We were not rushed through our meal, and were ablevto enjoy the live music that was provided. Our meals were very good, portions generous.

Food arrived undercooked and cold. One dish was prime rib, another the duck sirloin. The dining room was not terribly busy. Not sure what was going on in the kitchen but attention to detail was not there. Wait staff seemed disinterested. We have been frequent customers over the years for both lodging and dining. I don't think the value is there anymore. I'll take my business elswhere.

A mixed bag. Biggest disappointment was service. We had to stand around until a hostess showed up to seat us. Then there were delays each time we needed oir waitress to show up. Once lunch arrived, fries were somewhat warm but not hot, suggesting that the plates had been sitting around waiting for pickup. Food was, again, mixed. My special steak and cheese sub was delicious. My wife's turkey sandwich had promise but the other components were overwhelmed by too much tomato. Not bad, but not as good as we would expect for the cost.

I know it’s “on season” but our experience at DW was very different than the impeccable service and food quality that we have come to expect. Our really lovely server was run off her feet, had way too many tables and was kind and polite but barely there. We waited nearly 90 minutes from being seated to receive our main course. The kitchen was backed up, our food appeared lukewarm and we were incredibly disappointed. I would not recommend coming at the height of the season, although a landmark restaurant with the reputation it has, should never have these sorts of problems. I should add that we were there on a Monday evening, not even Friday or Saturday!

I don’t know lol. It’s a mixed bag. Hosting station is awesome. They are friendly and smile. The wait staff is somewhat efficient but they never seem happy. They seldom smile and aren’t real friendly. But they take the order and serve the food. The food was better this time. Two of us had the omelette and it was good. My wife had the scrambled that weren’t warm. But….again the food is served and they are gone. Oh well. Maybe nobody likes working Sunday. Life goes on.

Lovely outdoor courtyard between tavern and wing of inn. Cobblestones. Market lights and plantings. Our server Joanne was pleasant and welcoming. We had the ricotta brushetta special app amd shrimp cocktail. Very good. Martini meni fun! Loved the pear martini. Entrees come in demi portions for lighter appetites. We enjoyed the demi salmon. Delicious and lobster coated cod. Husband enjoyed the prime rib! After dinner we enjoyed live music in tavern. Lovely evening and meal!

We decided to stay overnight at the Inn to celebrate our anniversary. The food and service was great, although the menu was meat-heavy and offered just a few vegetarian options. Our only complaint was how long we had to wait from being seated to receiving our meals. That said we would not hesitate to return again for any special occasion. I think the kitchen would do well to consider expanding the vegan menu and attract a larger clientele in so doing.

The chicken my mother-in-law and I had was a bit dry. My husband had the lobster chowder and lobster salad. It was outstanding. The conservator is the place to dine! Beautiful waterfall, plants and fish abound. We've already booked another reservation for Labor Day weekend.

Waitress and front desk staff were wonderful. It was a special night made better because of these individuals and delicious food. They put a vase of a dozen roses I brought before dinner to surprise my date. Everything was perfect.
