    I really like this restaurant as far as the service and food quality. The main drawback was the "Noise Level" we could barely hear each other at a small table because of the noise...maybe because it was Friday and there were many people on that day.

    Great ambiance. Friendly, efficient server. The pasta bolognese was generous and wonderful. The half chicken was equally delicious. I was disappointed in the lentil soup. It was hardy but a bit bland. However, I have been there several times and have always been satisfied with the consistency and pride that they have in what is going on the table. I’ll be back.

    Beet caprese salad was amazing. We had a clam dish with pasta. It was a replacement for a butternut squash they were out of and I was apprehensive as clams are not my thing. The waiter assured me if it was not something I liked he would make it right. To my surprise, since my experience with clams in the past was negative, it was very good. We also had the chocolate dessert. Very happy with everything. Would be happy to eat there again next time we are in Covington.

    The service was excellent. We ordered a variety of "styles" of food. All of it was delicious and served at the right temperature. One of the appetizers was a combination of fried seafood and vegetables. That isn't easy to get right. The batter was light and tasty and both the seafood and vegetables were cooked to the right "doneness". Great evening.

    Walking across the street from our hotel was most convenient . New Orleans' former owner of Gautreaus restaurant had recommended this restaurant. The atmosphere in the venue was convivial lovely and warm . Our waiter was truly amazing with his knowledge of the food and drink served there. Every drink and every course arrived in a timely manner. Cost was most reasonable.

    Everything was spot on for last night's dinner. The antipasto platter was outstanding. It is probably the best antipasto platter that we have ever had, and it was great sharing for the four of us. We then shared the Fritti Misti del giorno, which was also very good. We then moved on to some terrific fresh pasta dishes. The wine selection is always good at Del Porto, and the service / servers are also very good and efficient. It's well worth the 45-minute drive to have a consistently nice dinner.

    My mushroom risotto was great. Same with my satsuma martini. I made the reservation and included that it was my birthday, which was not acknowledged. Ruth Chris’ and Keith Young’s always acknowledge special occasions. Not your fault, but my parents didn’t care for their entrees. I made suggestions for them, but they ignored me. The restaurant is loud with no buffer to absorb the sound.

    Always wonderful. New Fall items on the menu: scallop appetizer, Fall salad, 2 new pasta dishes, chicken. Professional service from Matt, complimentary glass of Prosecco for our anniversary, nice bottle of Tenuta Vermentino.

    I have never had a meal here that was anything less than fantastic. I am amazed that the food quality never varies. Del Porto among the best if not the best restaurant on the north shore.

    The food was awesome! One of the best meals my wife and I have shared. Made for a great anniversary dinner. Our waiter Sean was fantastic. Gave us great recommendations and took care of us incredibly well. We will back for sure.

    Food was really good and service was excellent. We've been there many times and I'd write a similar review for each visit. High standards all around. This time, thing I'd like the Del Porto owner(s) to know, is the reaction when I saw the "Dual Price" charge on the bill. It screamed of cheapness, which is not the atmosphere of this restaurant. If your profit margin is that slim, then hide the credit card fee in the menu prices and remove the "cash price" option. Gas stations advertise cash price and you're better than that.

    It has been a while since we ate at Del Porto. Last nice we made a reservation for 7PM and the restaurant was busy. We started with their antipasti, and it was fantastic last night. It was very fresh, with so many different items, all of which were delicious. We had a nice bottle of Marso Montepulciano d'abruzzo wine. Then we moved on to some half orders of the Spicey Italian home made cavatelli. It was beautiful. We shared an affogato for dessert. The service was great, the food was great and we really enjoyed the entire evening.

    Love this gem of a restaurant! The locally sourced food and the chef’s preparations are exquisite. Tiramisu was the perfect end to our fabulous meal. Cocktails were quite lovely and they have a fair wine list. I would like to recommend that when a diner has a reservation and there are only 3 occupied tables please don’t attempt to seat them at the table nearest to the kitchen. 😉 Overall a job well done.

    If you’re between places, go ahead and choose Del Porto! The food was fantastic, the atmosphere was lovely, and dessert was absolutely delightful. Our waiter was very helpful and had excellent suggestions. I’m still dreaming of the blueberry panna cotta. It’s a perfect date night spot, but also just a great place to eat and enjoy food you might not find where you’re from. 10/10 recommend and cannot wait to come back!

    I have been going to Del Porto for more than 15 years, Also They have catered my home to many times. Food is always good, wine and service quality is constant However it is extremely loud and there is no isolation material. It’s difficult to communicate with your companion and difficult to enjoy your company, food, and drink. This is a big challenge and has to be solved and it shouldn’t be so difficult Thanks

    Although we live in southern East Baton Rouge Parish, we have for years had lunch or dinner at Del Porto many times. And every time we have truly enjoyed the food, service and atmosphere! No exaggeration!

    I had lunch with two friends  and I thought the food was good and service was fine. The only disappointment was two of us had leftovers boxed to go and they happened to be the same dish. After being boxed, they were brought back to the table in the same bag.  At that point, it’s obviously impossible to tell who’s box was who’s. It would’ve been nice to have the correct boxes being given to each person, perhaps that needs to be specially requested.
