It has been a while since we ate at Del Porto. Last nice we made a reservation for 7PM and the restaurant was busy. We started with their antipasti, and it was fantastic last night. It was very fresh, with so many different items, all of which were delicious. We had a nice bottle of Marso Montepulciano d'abruzzo wine. Then we moved on to some half orders of the Spicey Italian home made cavatelli. It was beautiful. We shared an affogato for dessert. The service was great, the food was great and we really enjoyed the entire evening.

Love this gem of a restaurant! The locally sourced food and the chef’s preparations are exquisite. Tiramisu was the perfect end to our fabulous meal. Cocktails were quite lovely and they have a fair wine list. I would like to recommend that when a diner has a reservation and there are only 3 occupied tables please don’t attempt to seat them at the table nearest to the kitchen. 😉 Overall a job well done.

If you’re between places, go ahead and choose Del Porto! The food was fantastic, the atmosphere was lovely, and dessert was absolutely delightful. Our waiter was very helpful and had excellent suggestions. I’m still dreaming of the blueberry panna cotta. It’s a perfect date night spot, but also just a great place to eat and enjoy food you might not find where you’re from. 10/10 recommend and cannot wait to come back!

The food was delicious 🤤 the tagliatelle with corn and sausage was my favorite! The waiter, Sasha was right on task and very friendly. Our favorite place in Covington. We have never been disappointed 🤩

I have been going to Del Porto for more than 15 years, Also They have catered my home to many times. Food is always good, wine and service quality is constant However it is extremely loud and there is no isolation material. It’s difficult to communicate with your companion and difficult to enjoy your company, food, and drink. This is a big challenge and has to be solved and it shouldn’t be so difficult Thanks

Although we live in southern East Baton Rouge Parish, we have for years had lunch or dinner at Del Porto many times. And every time we have truly enjoyed the food, service and atmosphere! No exaggeration!

I had lunch with two friends and I thought the food was good and service was fine. The only disappointment was two of us had leftovers boxed to go and they happened to be the same dish. After being boxed, they were brought back to the table in the same bag. At that point, it’s obviously impossible to tell who’s box was who’s. It would’ve been nice to have the correct boxes being given to each person, perhaps that needs to be specially requested.

Delicious, as usual. We had the grilled vegetable small plate for the first time. They were interesting with cute little button beech mushrooms, peppers, among others. Thin, flat slices of Parmesan adorned the top. Artfully presented. I can’t pass up the fritti misti with aioli. The cavatelli had a sweet corn addition which worked and wasn’t too sweet. The service was excellent. I enjoyed their unoaked Chardonnay, and my guy tried an Italian beer with good reports. It was a nice break from a hot July day.

The prices were high for the amount of the food you received. For instance, the caprese salad (appetizer) was $14, for 4 slices of tomato, with mozzarella slices and a little basil on top. The balsamic vinaigrette was pretty minimal. Just not anything special. But our waiter was wonderful.

Our appetizer was Involtini of Roasted red pepper. We ordered the House made Cavatelli and the Chicken Breast Milanese . It was delicious! The tiramisu was one of the best I have had. Great service and ambiance.

Both the PONCHATOULA STRAWBERRY & GOLDEN BEET SALAD and the ITALIAN CHOPPED SALAD were truly stellar! The whole order of the ARTISAN GARGANELLI w/gulf shrimp was perfect for the two of us to split and was excellent as well! Everything else we had (appetizer, olive oil & focaccia, drinks and desserts) was on par with a restaurant of this caliber. All in all, a great evening out to dinner for the two of us.
