Di Paolo Ratings and Reviews
We are never disappointed by the outstanding food and service (DeeDee). We try to come every time the seasonal menu changes and have been dining here for many years - worth the 60 minute drive from where we live!
Still our favorite neighborhood restaurant after 15 years. Creative cooking, evolving menu, and nice friendly atmosphere and service. We tend to go during the week when it is a little less crowded after a long day at work. Never disappointed.
Always amazing! We have been going here for years and it is always our “go to” date night spot
We love this place !
Always a great meal and wine .
The staff are all fantastic
One of our favorite restaurants! Has been since it opened in 1993! We will keep going back!
By far the best and most authentic pasta dishes in the city. If you don't live nearby it is worth the trip from anywhere you live.
For restaurant week, appetizer portions of the three courses were served for $35. It was a very skimpy meal.
As usual, great service and great food. This is our go-to restaurant for any special occasion.
My meal at the Di Paolo was extravagant! I absolutely loved the bread that was served first thing we got there, and the atmosphere was calming. My favorite bread in the bread basket was the Garlic Bread! Mmmm, the taste is still on my lips. Also I ordered the lasagna. OH MY GOD! The best lasagna I have ever had! Even though the pasta was colored awkwardly green, the taste was mouth watering. Even though I had only ordered the half piece, I still had the feeling of full and the want for more. I rarely have this feeling, so that is saying something!
For dessert, I had a chocolate almost like cheesecake, with Oreo crust and raspberry sorbet. Even though I normally thought that Oreos were not authentic in Italy, the taste was still amazing and still makes my mouth water! On the other hand thought the sorbet was not fit for the cake. The taste was one like orange juice and chocolate chip cookies. They taste good separately, but when together they make a not so pleasing combination. My parents had the Margherita Pizza and the Bread pudding for dessert. My dad fell in love with the bread pudding and my mom adored the Margherita Pizza.
So in the end, I must say that the Lasagna was my top favorite at this restaurant, but the Bread Pudding was for my father and the Margherita Pizza was for my mother.
As you can see by the photos, I was too hungry and my mouth was watering to much for me to wait until I took the picture! Sorry!
The food would have been great, but the fish was served raw and a veal parmigiana dish was cold from apparently sitting too long in the kitchen.
One of my most favorite restaurants in Atlanta. They know how to deliver on their awesome menu and truly great service.
The food was really good. They made their own pasta, bread and dessert in house. We really liked the seafood linguine. Seafood was tender and tasty. Linguine was seasoned just perfect. So delicious that I almost wanted to order another one. We also liked the braised short rib. It was soft and juicy. The creamy polenta goes well with the short rib. We had tiramisu for dessert. It was simple but good.
We didn't enjoy the service though. Our server was cold. She took our empty plates away then disappeared for a long time before we could ask for dessert menu. Then she disappeared again even though she knew we finished our dessert. We had to wait for our check. She was not friendly either. I would go again for the food and hope she won't be our server.
We had a great dinner and service was awesome, I highly recommend this restaurant!
Always a great experience. Staff, food, ambience. Little loud, but Saturday night ok.
Very noisy. Food was good, but expensive. There are better places in the area. The Caesar salad was very nice. 1/2 portions if pasta a joke. 2 bites.
Always friendly and accommodating staff and management.
I am a regular at di Paolo and even though I have been there literally hundreds (maybe thousands) of times over the past 20+ years, I never tire of the inventive menu and specials, attentive and caring service, and smiling faces from an amazing staff. Chef Darin has impeccable taste, and prides himself on using the best of the best for all of his creations. On my last visit I kept it simple with an antipasto platter (very inventive with marcona almonds), mista salad (I add cherry tomatoes) and branzino. The setup for the fish is my favorite consisting of confit potato, haricot vert and chicken demi glace, to die for. No dessert this day, trying to take off a few pounds, but try their homemade gelatos, WOW! Had the Hendry Chardonnay, delicious, and on Sunday's 1/2 price bottles. Thanks also to Zack, the bartender, for taking great care of my party. He always make it fun.
The food was delicious and the service was excellent.
We went for New Year's Eve dinner. As always, the service, food, and overall experience was first-class. They always have interesting "specials", and they are worth exploring. We had an early reservation, but the restaurant was busy. They were prepared, and handled things well. Di Paolo's remains one of my favorite restaurant. The fact that I live about a mile a way makes it even nicer.
Wonderful family evening, as always. The food was delicious, especially the pappardelle con sugo di carne. Service was excellent, with good wine recommendations. Heated plates would have been nice, as the food cooled very quickly.
Always a wonderful meal here! One of our favorite places and definitely worth the drive!
Best carbonara in the universe.
very good. lacked in gluten free options. could easily have gluten free pasta as option.
This is the second time we’ve come to the establishment and the first time our waiter was incredibly rude. So much that we had to have him replaced. The manager was very understanding.
This last time the service was only OK and simply because they brought me the wrong order however my girlfriends muscles were obviously not that fresh and in fact one of them was so on fresh it had to be spit out.
Not sure why this restaurant is rated so highly. We are either in credibly unlucky in our two at times but needless to say we will not be returning.
Excellent food! Wonderful service! Always walk away full and happy!
Outstanding as always! Justin was our server and he was so informative and made dinner such fun and more of an experience with the additional information about the wines, specials and the menu as a whole! Love this place! What an amazing meal and high quality food! Everything appears to be made in house and is so fresh! Would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone!
Lamb shank is amazing!
We have been going here for around 18 years. It is a fabulous place and we consider Susan and her staff “family!”
Our favorite Italian restaurant! Excellent service, outstanding food, better than buckhead!
It doesn't look like much from the outside--downright dreary--but the place was packed on a Saturday night with multiple waves of diners. Server Justin was right on. This is a longtime neighborhood gem, not so much a destination. It is Italian food, but not old school. I had scallops on bed of risotto (mixed with some wild rice, not at all gloppy), very nicely done. The bar is well tended: not too boozy, not too crafty. All in all, entirely approachable fine dining in Peachtree Corners. The crowd looked quite affluent.
Always great. One of our favorite local spots. Food is always great, servers know the food and provide excellent service
A customer for about 17 years. We've introduced new friends to this restaurant and they love it too. We live in Alpharetta so it's relatively close. Even if it were not, we'd make the trek for their amazing northern Italy lasagna.
Very good meal with nice service. Wine recommendation was excellent. When you drive up your a bit concern you are in a strip mall, but restaurateur is worth it.
Food was excellent. Menu in Italian, needed some help understanding the options. Overall, we will go back.
Always delivers great food. Best service in the area. Wines are always spot-on. We have been going for 15 years, and will do so for many many more!!
One of our consistent favorites. Had branzino after appetizers of octopus. Sunday’s are 50% off wine, so that was given. Service was great. Justin took care of us and was prompt and friendly
A great consistent experience every time. I am always happy with both the specials and their wait staff
A regular spot for us. Always good. Get the 4 cheese pizza and add crispy procioutto.
The lasagna was from heaven! Definitely coming back!
All the recommendations were amazing!
