We celebrated our 37 anniversary at Salt. The experience started with being shown to our table with a delightful note printed on our menus, “Happy Anniversary Armando & Cary.” It was a very nice touch that surprised my spouse. Thank you SALT. Our waiter was very attentive and like able. The cocktails were super enjoyable and refreshing. Our starting course of Crab and Poblano cream soup was excellent and the main courses of Pork Shank was huge and very tasty with root vegetables. My spouse’s Duck breast cooked to perfect with root vegetables also. I wasn’t able to eat all the meat from my pork shank so it was pkac d in a to-go container. My spouse throughly enjoyed his Duck breast by finishing it all and then enjoyed a rich elderberry cheesecake with honeycomb sugar on top. Anytime we travel to McAllen we always try and make reservations at SALT and previously at Salome. We highly recommend this establishment for excellent cocktails, appetizers, delicious main courses. It doesn’t have to be a special occasion to come here. Just a desire to taste out of this world cuisine.
