This place is great! We went for dinner and drinks, everything we tried was delicious and everyone went home with a to go box. They also have a fun VIP club you can sign up for and a speakeasy concept in the back of the restaurant that I can't wait to go back and try. The dishes: -Lomo Saltado - recommended by our waiter, a steak and vegetable plate with rice with an excellent sear and even better flavor. -Latin Pasta - a creamy, warming, earthy, comforting chicken and penne pasta dish. This has a bit of spiciness in the chipotle butter sauce. -Aguachiles de Sonora - a bright and fresh chile and lime cured shrimp dish with avocado and tomato surrounded with fresh chips. Soooo good, I could eat this everyday. The drinks were fantastic as well and they offer margarita flights. Standout mixed drinks - Clear Rose and Dragon's Kiss. The staff was incredibly nice and attentive. It's an intimate space, which even on a Tuesday, was completely full at one point, so make a reservation! I've been in this space before when it was dive bar and then again as a different restaurant/bar. Brix has really made the space their own, good decor, very inviting. You can tell how much thought and care was put into developing this place.

Jess was an excellent server! Food was tasty. It is too damn loud there though. Bring back the deviled eggs they were yummy!

I am a Foodie and tough critic. My lunch at WSL was great, so I brought back hubs for dinner. FIRST AND FOREMOST, I had planned to take my daughter with us, but our reservation got cancelled due to snow storm. UPON ARRIVAL, the Hostess apologized for the (valid) weather cancellation and asked me if MY DAUGHTER GOT BACK TO IL. ❤️ What?!? SO KIND, SO LOCAL. ❤️ Food was divine, expertly prepared and presented. Service was grand. Very affordable, great VALUE. Ty!

Participated in restaurant week, I ordered the filet with gfm, I didn’t realize the potato would be removed, my order came out and our server asked if we needed anything else, I said I’d take a side of mashed potatoes (with the intent to pay), waitress was so sweet and brought out a perfect small side of the garlic mashed potatoes to substitute, will be going back Friday night with a different group of friends!

Our waitress was very attentive and sweet. Gave great recommendations. Everyone we interacted with was friendly. Food was amazing from the soup to entree to dessert. Went for restaurant week and absolutely will be back again!

Absolutely delicious food and excellent service ... all very much worth the crowded spaces and noise level! Friendly, too ... just a great, casual local place to go for a wonderful meal any night of the week. You should definitely plan to book a table ahead of time!
