We’re a locally owned and operated restaurant that has been serving French cuisine in the Kitsilano area for a number of years.
Lavidas is a contemporary comfort restaurant serving a variety of different cuisine. Our menus are driven by local ingredients and cultural influences with fresh modern styling and molecular techniques.
We continue to serve a few of our favourites along with some new dishes inspired by PNW ingredients.
We are proud to support a diverse and inclusive workplace that supports and celebrates the LGBTQIA+ community and diversity in the work force. We have two gender-neutral bathrooms and are also wheelchair accessible.

The menu is varied, the food was delicious and our server, Jordan, was terrific. Such a wonderful restaurant to enjoy a great meal with the ability to have good conversation with friends without having to shout. It was like having a great meal at home, with none of the work. We have been before and intend to keep going back. We loved the fixed price menu and the variety of selections. The onion soup, mango salad, duck confit and braised beef were all hits with our group of four. A super neighbourhood gem for those lucky to live nearby...an hour-long ride for us, but a ride worth taking!

JJ’s Restaurant is a Vancouver institution. Both the kitchen and front of house are run by students who are in their 2nd level of cook training. Enjoy a three-course a la carte lunch which is reasonably priced and produced with the highest level of passion and care by students with the guidance of their Chef Instructors. If you are interested in a group booking please email culinaryarts@vcc.ca. Chef's Table dinner is a set menu, and courses can not be changed due to guest preferences. We have these specific proteins on the menu to further the student's knowledge in the program.

Omakase sushi that Takeshi (owner) made for us—all of them were as phenomenal as always. I can 100% recommend OKU to anyone who wants a Japanese dining experience where the chef selects and prepares a tasting menu of seasonal ingredients and dishes, leaving it up to the chef to create a unique and personalized meal.

Kamei has been my long term go-to list whether it is for regular lunch or birthday celebrations. This place never failed me. Deon and his staff can't be more accommodating... Needless to mention the food is fabulous. Not one thing you put in your mouth would disappoint you. To add to all these, the price is very reasonable. And what I also love is that they won't by default put 18% as the start of the tip option. I ended up giving them 18% to praise their attitude. Just a side note, when I see restaurants putting 18% as the starting point, I will deliberately give them 10% instead. Yes, badass..
