Dockside Restaurant & Brewing Company
The open dining room is relaxed yet refined, wrapped in spectacular floor to ceiling windows, while the lounge offers warm intimate surroundings for evening cocktails. The award-winning patio catches sunlight from morning to late afternoon. Protected on three sides it’s an oasis of calm, disturbed only by the occasional sound of boats making their way along False Creek. Recent renovations have added fireplaces and casual seating areas to this Vancouver destination.

One of the worst happy hour choices. Our server Patrick was awful and they seem to shut down happy hour 15 minutes early! Save yourself the disappointment and go to many other better options!
Also, don’t bother complaining to the manager because it’s a complete waste of time.
Avoid this place!
The Dockside is great - both locals and visitors, casual and special occasion. Fun place to people watch, enjoy the view of boats and water and feel the vibrancy of Vancouver.
Our server (unfortunately I didn’t get his name) was incredible! Super friendly and always made sure our glasses were topped and checked in frequently. Food was excellent
We loved everything about it EXCEPT we out in our booking request and told the waiter that we were going to the Art Centre Theatre after dinner ... according to that website there should have been a 15% discount on our bill. It was only the next day that we realised that was not applied.
-Was a bit breezy where we sat inside, other than that, the food was great and the view was fantastic!
A nice setting with good food. A bit too loud for a relaxed dinner!
We had a lovely experience that afternoon special mention to Laurie he was great and we thought how could the next server measure up and Jeremy was outstanding. Thank you to them both for helping make my girlfriends 65th birthday a wonderful success!
The food and service was excellent and the location overlooking the harbour is beautiful. We stayed at the Grandville Island Hotel so the location to the Dockside was very convenient. It is a very warm friendly environment. The pace was very good and our server, Lara, went far and above in taking care of us. We enjoyed the whole experience so much we returned the next evening as well. Highly recommend the Dockside Restaurant as well as the Grandville Island Hotel. Thank you.!
Our sever, Lara, helped create special memories for my wife and I as we celebrated our 45th anniversary. Very warm, welcoming and attention to detail. Food presentation and taste was excellent. A wonderful evening. Thank you.
Good wine list, good food, good ambience and blessedly quiet on the patio; we would not have survived the happy but very noisy crowd inside. The service was a little slow, doubtless due to the very busy kitchen. No complaints whatever; suited us nicely.
The service was fantastic but the food was greasy and average tasting. Too much dressing on the salad. The appies were swimming in grease and mayonnaise sauce. There was something off tasting in the crab cakes. Beer selection was great.
Great service and very attentive and cooperative to get us to our Arts Club show on time.
We enjoy this restaurant very much for it’s location, service and food. It never disappoints!!
very friendly and helpful staff. we were seated inside due to slow patrons finishing up outside on the patio. nice room with a great view of the harbor.
room a little noisy in the main room. lots of echos.
food generally very tasty and well presented. halibut was served with raisins which was an odd combination. did not eat the raisins. otherwise great food and lovely deserts !
Food was good but expected a lot more for the pricing.
Best summer patio on the water in the city. Come alone or with friends. Great atmosphere, service, staff and brunch.
The food was poor. The salmon entree was tiny and my son had to eat another dinner on coming home afterwards. The seafood puttanesca is very salty but it’s probably the best option on the menu. The salmon farfalle was not very interesting. The halibut was small, dry and very over cooked. I had mentioned in the booking notes that it was a birthday but they did nothing whatsoever to celebrate the birthday. Not a memorable night and we won’t be going back again as the food was quite poor but very expensive.
very noisy private party in the same space -- more than 20 people. we and another table had to be reseated.
Glad to find a way to avoid noise by eating outside. Most restaurants are far too noisy .
The location is hard to beat on a sunny afternoon for lunch. We had a delightfully friendly server and the food as always was topnotch.
We enjoyed our meal on the patio with a lovely view. We will be back.
Great food and an outstanding view. This is my "go to" place when guests are visiting from out of town.
Our experience has been positive. The bone marrow and squid were exquisite. Service was a little slow but picked up in the end. Gorgeous view!!
Very crowded and noisy. Food was good. Price was good.
The food here and service here are always excellent and the view is awesome. The warm potato salad is to die for and the coconut cheesecake was a work or art!
Great Place. Great view. Nice crowd. Pleasant staff.
Pre theatre dinner. Very quick service as requested. Food was delicious. Server could have been a bit more attentive. Would come again.
Perfect place to host an event on the patio.
The view on the patio was lovely. Great service from the waiter, James. Food was absolutely delicious. Will return!
The setting is really lovely. Tasty gluten free options on menu and start to end great lunch.
Delightful location particularly when outside in good weather as it was for us. The only negative was the slow service. I suspect this is no different than many Vancouver restaurants that are short of skilled labour. Parking has become readily available now that Granville Island charges.
Father’s Day. Very good except asked for fish and chips for two out of town guests from the room service menu and would have been great experience if could have accommodated.
Wonderful food, service and view!
Excellent customer service, and quality food for the price.
It’s been a great experience at Dockside! We went for a girls night out! We would definitely go there again!
Would I recommend? Maybe.
Two of the three times I've been to Dockside there have been service problems. On Sat, the computers were down (which I have been told happens fairly often) and we waited a long time for the waiter, and another long time for our wine. When the food arrived, my husband's steak was cold; we sent it back to be warmed up and of course it was no longer medium rare when it returned. My halibut was very nice.
It was lovely on the patio, and we were offered dessert to compensate for the various problems - the chocolate cake was delicious.
You might offer a Prosecco by the glass - the Cipes brut was not very pleasant. And perhaps you could fix the service problems.
All machines were down so it took a really long time to get dinner and we were late for a show. Its a shame because the food was really excellent, the waiter was great, but service was really poor getting served food and drinks in a reasonable time.
Thought a 6:30 reservation would have given ample time for dinner before an 8 pm show at Performance Works next door.
Appetizer took nearly 35 minutes to get to the table. We never had our main course because it was already 7:45 and it wasn’t near ready.
Our server was amazing, very sweet and acknowledged things were taking too long. She graciously arranged for the main to be removed from the bill.
Nice location but service was very poor. It just seemed like we were not connected to the server. Food was decent however was a not overly hot when it arrived to the table. Need to step up their game
We had drinks and dinner at Dockside before a concert at the nearby Performance Works. We asked for an outside patio table and were seated at the east end of the patio in a very nice spot with a great view of the eastern part of False Creek. We had two bottles of very nice wine from the not overly long wine list and appetizers and mains. The food was great. We did not have dessert since we ran out of time. We often go here before concerts and we really need to go more often!
A lovely place to have a meal. Scenic and casual however my meal of crab cakes tasted very fishy and were not good at all. The mussels were lovely as well as the Caesar salad.
