About Dockside Restaurant & Brewing Company
The Dockside Restaurant offers superbly prepared classic dishes in a setting like no other. Located on the waterfront where Granville Island faces the city, guests can enjoy panoramic views across False Creek to the world-famous cityscape of Yaletown and beyond to the mountains of the North Shore.
The open dining room is relaxed yet refined, wrapped in spectacular floor to ceiling windows, while the lounge offers warm intimate surroundings for evening cocktails. The award-winning patio catches sunlight from morning to late afternoon. Protected on three sides it’s an oasis of calm, disturbed only by the occasional sound of boats making their way along False Creek. Recent renovations have added fireplaces and casual seating areas to this Vancouver destination.

Dockside Restaurant & Brewing Company Ratings and Reviews
Average on every level. Beautiful room and decor but everything else is average and over priced.
Excellent service and great food. My wife had a cornish game hen, I had salmon, and our friend had filet mignon. All three dishes were cooked perfectly and delicious. I am anxious to go back in the summer when the scenery would be quite impressive.
This has been a meeting place for 4 Friends for many years. We enjoy the ambience, food and service very much. We often have the same waiter and we enjoy him very much.
Look forward to returning soon.
The food was most disappointing:
* Pizza was too salty.
* Kale salad was soggy and unattractively presented.
*Halibut lobster bisque sauce had too much vinegar.
Service and view excellent .
The food is vey good. Much better view on a clear summer day.
We always enjoy our dining experience at Dockside. Beautiful, decor, the view is equally stunning day and night, the staff is attentive and professional, and food is wonderful.
Because my birthday is on New Year's Eve, we always look for somewhere special to have dinner. This was my first experience at Dockside and it was very pleasant. We will definitely come back. I have a friend who goes for lunch very often, and loves it, so we will try the lunch and the beer menu sometime soon.
We spent New Year's Eve afternoon for lunch. There was 6 of us and we all enjoyed what we ordered. Nice presentation, eggs benedict was great.
My standby special occasion in Vancouver. Fine food, atmosphere, service at pricing that's not rapacious.
This was the first time we had gone to Dockside for a meal. Everything about it was superb; food, ambience, value for money. One of our party was blind. Our server was amazing - so attentive to her unique needs and with deep respect. We will certainly come again!
Took two elderly friends for lunch. Was a little disappointed in my hamburger ... a bit dry and messy. It was awesome on our last visit. But, everyone else enjoyed their meal. Service was a bit slow to start off with ... sat with water for quite a while before we could order wine.
But, this would not stop me from returning.
The frittata and shrimp & crabcake benny were lovely! The view and attentive staff made for enjoyable weekend brunch to ring in new year. Nice change up from every day breakfast menu.
Pleasant before Theatre dinner. Service was terrific. Everyone enjoyed their dinner. Because of the season, the restaurant was nicely decorated. Will certainly come back again.
The hostess was confused and i was worried about our pre-theatre Christmas Eve lunch. Once we were in service and food was very good.
good meal and service. The wait staff were attentive and helpful
Our food was delicious and on a sunny day the view was spectacular.
A very pleasant sunday brunch with my grandson before we went to the theatre.
Food was good and very kid friendly. Service was great.
Lovely decor and good service. food very well presented but tasteless
We got together with colleagues for our annual Christmas lunch. We requested a table for 5 and were placed at a round table for 6 where hearing each other was difficult for the 2 on the outter circle. I noticed other round tables for 5. Reservations made 2 months ago. I ordered a prawn salad special dietary restrictions no dressing. The server agreed verbally then brought the salad with dressing on it and said “oh that was his fault” and back it went!!! Not as nice the 2nd time out. 3 people had the zucchini pasta which they didn’t enjoy with tomato based sauce. Otherwise ok lunch. Not up to par really. Expensive.
We have been here before and love the location and ambience, over looking false creek. Service and food were just ok this time, which was disappointing as we bragged about this place to my brother who was visiting from out of town.
Food served cold in tempature, however, good in environment & service.
Best in desert, the coconut milk cheese cake was awesome!
It was an enjoyable night with a nice and attentive waiter. The food was good, but the portions were small. Decent value if you're going for the $25 - $45 entree range.
Excellent food. Fantastic service.
Pleased that chefs can accommodate allergies; but my latest halibut dinner (which is usually delicious) was very dry without the sauce - that I couldn't have.
Although the staff was friendly and nice and allowed us to relax we were very disappointed in the food. My pancakes with the cinnamon sauce was blase. The sauce should have at least been seasoned better and served hot.
My friends soft boiled eggs were firm. More attention needs to be paid to the food even if it is not busy.
The view was great and the setting nice.
Good restaurant. Only disappointment was that they changed the recipe for the legendary spicy squid. It was one of the things we always look forward to. Shouldn’t mess with a star attraction. Change it back; please.
We've eaten here many times but it's been at least a year since our last visit. Unfortunately we will likely not return. Portions were small (our party ordered a pizza when we got home), pasta/curry dishes were very skimpy on the seafood and the server was overly patronizing referring to the ladies as "love" ad nauseam. We were there on a Saturday early evening and the place was dead. The views are still great but the value was lacking. Grateful that we were there with entertainment book coupons because I would've complained in person if we had been paying full price.
Always a lovely location for a meal. Good food/presentation/service. Views are lovely.
I was pleasantly surprised as had heard the food and service were average while the view was phenomenal. However, All three were great. I would return and recommend to others. It’s a relaxed dining experience (so not for a quick bite as the service is slower), where you can speak across the table without competing with loud music or other conversation from tables placed too close together. You can follow your dining experience with a walk on Granville Island.
Wonderful view, happy & efficient service, excellent food, creates a"special place" atmosphere, but too noisy - probably because of too many groups.
Everything was handled well by staff. The coffee was only slightly warm and was made even cooler with the cold cream. Large open rim styled cups are not designed to retain the heat and perhaps cream closer to room temp plus hotter brewed coffee would be in order.
Service was excellent. The new menu is spot on! Well done
There was a special brunch that was not indicated on their website. When we got there, there was no suitable selection so we left.
Very noisy when we were there. Service and food were excellent.
Enjoyed the evening but the noise level was very high. Will have to sit in a different spot next time around.
We were celebrating a birthday... I requested a window table and was accommodated. We had a wonderful time and the waiter was excellent. Great sense of humour and not overbearing. Discreetly poured the wine ( a professional waiter)
Amazing view of Vancouver & False Creek. The service was GREAT. I would have liked to see some slightly less expensive options for wine by the glass. Food & wine was delicious.
Dreadful Service. 1 meal wrong, staff did not know what they were doing. Had to ask for cutlery. Waited a long time after ordering for food to come. Eggs cold. Presentation dreadful. I would never go back again
Excellent service and outstanding meal. Thank you.
