Dockside Restaurant & Brewing Company
The open dining room is relaxed yet refined, wrapped in spectacular floor to ceiling windows, while the lounge offers warm intimate surroundings for evening cocktails. The award-winning patio catches sunlight from morning to late afternoon. Protected on three sides it’s an oasis of calm, disturbed only by the occasional sound of boats making their way along False Creek. Recent renovations have added fireplaces and casual seating areas to this Vancouver destination.

Service was great with beautiful water view. Really one of the nicest patios in Vancouver. Food was ok. Overall very enjoyable spot for a drink and snack.
The food was great. The service was great. The ambience was great. The server was friendly, efficient, and appropriately attentive. As well, he had a comfortable sense of humour!
Food was mediocre and therefore overpriced. Ambience was super as the patio is beside the water.
Very dependable and enjoyable service and food!!
Can't beat the view and ambience of the outdoor patio. Sadly the menu selection is limited. The veal, unfortunately, was terribly overcooked. But the caprese salad was delicious.
When making reservations, asked for what occasion, Birthday. NO acknowledgement from staff.
We were given a slated table in full sun, located on the edge, north corner. Empty tables were availabe BUT not given an option where we would like to sit!
Found was medicore considerable the price, ( I know, one pays for the view).
The salad with the lunch was pathetic, no dressing on one of the salads, we ordered the same meal. The salad itself was not even passable, arugala with one tomato and one sliced radish....
After the lunch, we noticed the majority of the tables were occupied so seating where we sat was absolutely no excuse since a few tables were occupied when we first came in...
Good C-19 protocols in place. All wait staff wore shields. Good and great views. Can't recommend outdoor patio enough in good weather.
Felt some sort of racism and they weren’t very accommodating in regards to the menu.
The hostess at the door did not greet us with a smile. She sat the two of us at a table for six people without any shade while there was a smaller table available right next to us under the shade. That table remained empty the whole time we were there. It took our server 15 minutes to come say hi and bring us water. While the location is great, I don’t think I’ll go back there any time soon.
Beautiful way to spend an afternoon, on the patio. Ideal for special occasions in the summer. We all had a great time.
I have been to dockside several times in the last few months because of the lovely ambiance and the outdoor seating. However I think the food is deteriorating in quality. I had a Nice Wah salad and had to send it back because the tuna was really off.
Wonderful atmosphere and views. Chill and relaxed yet upscale experience all at the same time. Food was excellent. Service was great. Definitely will go back.
Young couple on a Saturday night for a treat. Absolutely amazing restaurant. Such an amazing location. Would recommend the Risotto and the mini doughnuts were unbelievable. Would 10/10 recommend.
The menu is limited but everything we ordered were tasty. Great ambience and view !!
Wow great food, service and possibly the best patio in Vancouver!
Enjoyed our brunch there very much. Their patio is beautiful and comfortable. Look forward to going back!
Delicious brunch with a view. Felt comfortable with the staffs ppe and processes.
Except these days aren’t ‘everyday’ and getting out is huge.
Apart from being in the tent instead of the sun the experience was good.
Nice shade in afternoon with view of water. Good for out of town guests.
Beautiful and peaceful along the water on patio.
We chose Dockside to celebrate my friend’s birthday. It was a beautiful Vancouver day! The restaurant staff greets you at the entrance and it was very COVID compliant. I felt very safe the whole time. Menus are with a QR code and we chose to sit outside on their patio. The view was great. We tried the seared tuna sandwich and the duck confit sandwich. They were both very tasty and came to our table quickly. All the staff was friendly and helpful. What a nice way to spend an afternoon.
Food was tasty with very good service. Patio is lovely with the ocean breeze and ability to people watch.
I have been coming to this restaurant for years. Each time I visit, I enjoy the views, lighting, vibes and most importantly the food more and more. Amazing service, beautiful setting of tables, delicious food, easy parking! I’m looking forward to my next visit :)
We had really long waits for water, our wine and coffee. We understand it was busy but was disappointed in the service. The location of the restaurant and the atmosphere is superb!
Beautiful day, beautiful food! Dockside never ceases to be superb!
Fabulous to just go and chill and a fantastic peaceful setting. But also great for those special occasions, plus business. You cannot go wrong.
Went there for my anniversary - booked well in advance and asked for a certain table. The hostess was rude and ignored our request. Didn’t acknowledge the occasion. Disappointed in the hostess service. Aside from that - it was good.
Absolutely great patio and perfect set-up for the COVID reality. Table spaced more than 2 metres apart, lots of room, so felt really safe. Downside was our server who has been there for years. Does not seem to know how to open a bottle of wine properly. His hands grabbed the end of the bottle when he took the cork out. Now wine has to be poured out with his hands having touched the end. That’s terrible is normal times, even worse in COVID-19 reality. Great food, great ambiance, perfect setup but your experience may vary depending on your server.
Great outdoor patio. 2 guests had the crab cake, and were disappointed. One had poor boy oyster..just “ ok”.
Lovely spot in a “safe” environment - fresh breeze, expansive view, superb food, friendly staff - and all in an unobtrusive adherence to Covid protocols. Perfect! Our “go-to” place ❤️
Well organized operation with great views
Perfect for couples or small groups
Host did not explain our dish very well as it didn’t come served the way he described it prior to ordering it!
Bussers were great and server was cranky. Limited food choices. Entrees were heavy for a summer night. Disappointing
Nice view, good portions and friendly service.
In error the server brought our wine drinks (9 oz) instead of the 6 oz we had ordered. She corrected the order by taking away our glasses - my
Question is what happens to those drinks ( were they kept until a new order was found from another table)
Please advise me so we will be aware of the hygiene at Dockside as to the freshness and safety of our dinners
Hi Charles, Please be assured that under no circumstances was that error of wine reused. Any item that has left the bar or kitchen pass and is returned in error is immediately disposed.
They really do have one of the best patios in Vancouver - 5+ stars for ambience. The staff are pretty good about the COVID-19 safety measures. We enjoyed their seared albacore tuna sandwich and their oyster Po' Boy sandwich. Their seasonal cherry pie was mouthwatering and the server went above and beyond by putting in a sparkler candle to celebrate our special occasion.
The service was extremely slow although we had a friendly server. It seemed they may have been understaffed. Despite that the ambience was perfect on the patio and the food delicious and enjoyed by my guests.
Was not happy with the fact that the patio seats that were available and were in full sun. There were not enough umbrellas to go around. As the indoor of the restaurant is closed, there should have been more umbrellas. We ended up sitting outside and my back got totally burned and I am still peeling. Also my meal though good, shrimp toast and kale caesar salad at $23.00, the portions were so small I left hungry. My husband on the other hand had the burger and fries at $16.00 and there was enough for 2 people. My recommendation is to get more umbrellas for the outside.
I had the veal.
A small pasta side she be offered. Less veal more variety. I got tired of eating the same stuff.
Squid steak was good although looked unappealing.
We saw the mouse as well. Although we were finished dinner and enjoying the views!
Easy parking, and free at this time.
I will certainly come back, and recommend it to my friends.
I was there on the 27th and had mentioned that it was an anniversary.
But nobody made any fuss, which was disappointing.
