We had brunch there and it was so good, we decided to try it for dinner. We were not disappointed. We ate a selection of small plates which were creative and delicious, just right for sharing. The service is wonderful and all the staff are very helpful.

Quickly and wonderfully adapated to my group that unexpectedly grew from 7 to 10 people on the day of the reservation. Service was excellent - attentive without bothering. Food was fantastic as usual. My go to spot for out of town business guests.

Dovetail is my Macon go to when I want awesome regionally sourced, thoughtfully combined, exquisitely prepared and artfully presented delicious meals. The bartenders, including rock star Sarah, craft some super tasty & balanced cocktails, and the wait staff are super knowledgeable and attentive. Downtown Macon hit the jackpot with Dovetail. I love love love this place!

Starting from the moment we ascended the staircase to the time we were seated at our table, Dovetail was a smashing success. The General Manager Kevin gave us the perfect table for 2 by the window where my girlfriend and I could indulge in delicious food and even better conversation. I had heard of this restaurant before, and no description had done it justice. The pork tenderloin was the most decadent piece of meat I have ever eaten. In my entire life. And the fried/grilled Brussels sprouts with remoulade on the side were easily my favorite. My girlfriends filet was the best she ever had, after being regular steak house visitors. Our waiter had the perfect temperament and was very friendly and professional. The manager Kevin made sure to make us feel special and welcome. The ambience and decor was refined, elegant, and romantic. We will be back as often as possible, in hopes of recreating another perfect evening!

Valentines day dinner.
We ordered house salad, which was big enough to split between us as appetizer. Pretty good (not much a salad guy so..)
I ordered rabbit risotto, which was very, very good. The baked brussel sprout went very well with very creamy risotto. Baked Brussel sprout went surprisingly well with it. Waiter brought this house-made pepper vinegar to try with. Very good choice.
Wife had the pork tenderloin, also very good. Balance between tenderloin amd surrounding veggies were good. She had a glass of wine at the recommendation from waiter, which was also good.
Would visit again

This was our first time at Dovetail and we have found our new spot indeed. My wife and I are foodie's and pride ourselves on finding amazing places for dinner. Dovetail did not disappoint at all. The time went by, the pace of the courses was perfect, along with the suggestions on food and pairings. Can't wait to go back!! Brian & Stacee

The food here is always outstanding. I love how the menu changes but everything is still really good. The service is always excellent as well. I also love the atmosphere. Dovetail is highly recommended by me.

I would go again, but not on an event night. They were sold out of many items the night I went, because they had had a rush earlier in the evening due to an event in the area. The manager was very apologetic. It took a long time to get a drink, even though they really were not very busy. I would go again, so I could actually try the things I wanted to eat !

The bartender is a little slow, but the drinks were amazing! The wine and bourbon list is outstanding! The food is farm to table and delish! One of our favorite spots. Kevin, the manager is outstanding and always so accommodating
