The chicken and Waffles dish was unlike anything I’ve ever eaten! It was amazing. You need to experience it. Our server Chris was calm and Friendly. The view of the water was incredible, the decor is very well curated. it’s a beautiful spot.
Waitress abrupt. The young man waiter very attentive.
Fantastic service and great food. Would definitely come here again.
Great place for our Sunday lunch with a group of girlfriends. Located right on the water with amazing views. Very relaxed atmosphere and delicious food!
Disappointing. The English muffin (eggs Benedict dish) was stale. The salad had a handful of yellowing leaves. The tables are extremely close together. It was a 15 minute period before we were given water and welcomed by the server.
Food was great, service was awful. No one came to our table for first 15 mins - We had to ask the hostess to send someone. Waitress brought water / coffee took our orders and then we never saw her again. Food came out a whole later but then no contact from anyone. Bill was brought to our table (without us specifically asking for it!) much later after we again had to flag someone down.
Beautiful venue, with many seating options, and opportunities to enjoy the scenery. Service was amazing from hostess to waiter and everyone we encountered inbetween, but the food was not worth the expense (gristly, fatty, non-descript burger with tough bacon). Wait times for food were long, and at one point our order was gotten by the kitchen (as explained by our waiter).
This was my 5th visit to the restaurant. I always enjoyed the food, service and the ambience, however this time was little disappointing. I understand the place is busy on the weekend but my server only came once to take order and never came back. We got the bill from someone else while she was busy serving the table with a group of 8. I was asking for water after finishing the first glass of water but never got it.
We sat on the patio and what a nice view of the lake. Very relaxing!
Great place and location, the waiter was on the ball - a great asset to the place
Great food, drinks service, view of the lake and atmosphere. We loved it and would definitely come back.
Food was OK, duck pate was very off-putting, server forgot to bring out the birthday ice cream until well after we were done eating - not worth the cost
I am sorry to say my lunch wasn’t up to the standards I expected. My Rueben was burnt around the edges. I told the waitress and they kindly took my wine off the bill. Overall we had a lovely experience and will certainly try again. The service was excellent.
I enjoyed both the meal and the view at Drake Dev. I forgot to mention that I don’t eat dairy until my sandwich arrived and although I told the server that taking the cheese out was alright, the cooks made me a completely new sandwich, and were happy to do so! My second time visiting PEC and Drake Dev and I will definitely be returning to dine here. Thank you!
We came here for our honeymoon and experienced the best customer service we have ever received. The staff were friendly, kind, and genuinely wanted you to have a good experience. Staff made excellent food and wine suggestions, recommended a nice seat by the water while we waiting for food, and served us complementary champagne for our special occasion. The food was delisous, prepared quickly, and the portions were perfect. The ambiance on the patio was fantastic for a sun set meal. We will highly recommend this restaurant always and will be back again!
Food was really good and the staff was very attentive. Drinks (mimosa) were on the pricey end! The view and the interior design was beautiful in ambience and very unique!
Table 51 should be removed, I counted over 250 people walking by the table during a regular sitting. Remove this terrible seating, it's not worth upsetting your customer for just 4 extra seats in an otherwise beautiful restaurant.
One of my favourite restaurants and views. Worth the drive to Prince Edward County just to eat here. We enjoyed cocktails, guacamole and chips and the white bolognese pasta. Food was great and so was the service. We will be back again soon.
Beautiful restaurant, great patio overlooking the lake, cocktails were delicious, food was ok/ very underwhelming
We were running late for our reservations, however, we called in to let them know and when we arrived our table was still saved for us. We were also given the option to sit out on the patio which we were happy to take them up on. We enjoyed our meal with the sound of the waves in the background and with a beautiful waterfront view. The food was delicious as well. I got the blueberry pancakes. They were so fluffy and came with whipped butter.
Drinks were really good. Food was basic, yet pricey. Good environment for drinks with friend. Great atmosphere.
Service is extremely slow and the food really isn’t that impressive for the price. Scones were great, but everything else was just decent.
Great service. Very friendly & made us feel special about our 10th wedding anniversary. The servers were excellent at making recommendations for menu items & drinks. The view was just amazing and romantic too! We watched the sky change as the sunset.
Very expensive for what we ordered. ! Lunch for 2, 2 sandwiches and 2 glasses of wine ( 5 ounces only ) cost $ 100.00. Food was tasty, service very good, no complaints if bill had been approx. half the price. I know they are trying to take advance of the touristy area but soon the tourists will look for more reasonable menus..A paper napkins topped it off !
The worst service ever.
The Inn and the grounds are quite picturesque. The view on the back patio is fantastic and so is the general atmosphere.
Unfortunately we went there for breakfast. We're not picky folks, especially if the location is as good as the Drake's. However I feel like the entire meal was not only over priced but actually quite bad. The egg white omelette was incredibly runny and without any sort of seasoning. The potato hash was mushy and bland at best.
Avocado toast - jeez. A slice of sourdough (decent bread) with what seemed to be Sabra roasted red pepper hummus, half a bruised avocado (sliced) and 7 corn kernels. Brutal.
I am grateful that we ordered two mains each as the overnight oats and the Yogurt and granola portions were very small for the hefty price tag associated with them. Those tasted OK.
Pancakes were OK.
Service was slow bur friendly.
Ate here twice in a day because the food and service were outstanding. Quality fresh ingredients especially the vegetables/fruits! Get the Caesar salad and the peaches corn dessert for dinner, perfection! Very cute decor makes for IG friendly pics.
I’ve been to the Drake several times but this time was pretty disappointing.
Service was slow, waiters don’t work together to help move food/service along, and overall feeling was that we were just a number. The food was good but slightly over priced as always. Overall disappointed and won’t be back anytime soon.
We usually love the Drake!! but have to be honest that this visit fell well short of the mark. Service was incredibly slow. Took almost 60 minutes just take our order. The food was just so so. The rye bread had very odd taste and the sausage?? Bacon was great though! Server was in training but thinking the trainer needed some training too. Disappointed but will return.
I loved the unique choices on the menu and i was happy with my choice! View was lovely too.
We always love the Drake Devonshire, we drive an hour to visit and recommend the hotel to friends.
It was superb place to eat! I couldn’t be more happy with all the elements of the restaurant.
Enjoyed each dish we ordered. The server was very helpful and made excellent recommendations.
We really enjoyed our anniversary dinner at the Drake. All the staff were excellent, from host staff to bar staff to our fantastic server. The view in the main dining room is great, we were lucky to see the sunset. Food was great! We had the burger and roast chicken dinners. Well cooked, nice and hot, attractive plates. Highly recommend!
As usual Drake venues have great food in relaxed atmosphere - Devonshire ( third time ) has the added benefit of being on the water in a nice part of the County (Wellington ) - service this time was slow and dishes came out haphazardly - I will be there again but a second such meal will make me reconsider .....
The food and location were great. Beautiful indoor and outdoor space. Service was a little lack lustre.
The Drake never lets you down when it comes to the whole package!
Everything was awesome except the beginning. We made a reservation on-line through this app. I mentioned that we were celebrating our 25th Anniversary. When we showed up at the appointed time, we were told we would have to wait 20-30 minutes for our desired spot (as was requested in the on-line reservation). If the Drake was not able to fulfill our desired reservation, we would have liked to know in advance. Perhaps the management could review the reservations daily and respond to special requests. If they had sent me an email saying “Thank you for your reservation, but we are not able to guarantee a spot at the front of the patio; you may have to wait upon arrival for such a prime spot,” I would have been more understanding. It was disappointing and not how we envisioned starting our celebratory lunch.
After being seated and then moving to our desired seating location, the service was good. The food was incredibly delicious.
Incredibly delicious blueberry scones with home made wild blueberry jam ! A real treat !
