We live in New York and went up to Toronto for dinner and then to the Julia Jacklin concert. Our server (Kinnon sp) was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Our food was fantastic and everyone around us seemed to be having a great time as well. It was just a perfect evening that my wife and I enjoyed. We would most definitely come back.

We went to the art strollers event and we’re pleased with the event, convenient stroller parking, availability of high chairs and baby purees. We will definitely come back. The only thing I recommend is 1 or 2 change tables for the babies as the venue would be perfect.

Great dinner (burger was excellent) prior to a concert in The Underground. Also loved the gift store.

Went for Brunch to celebrate a birthday. The food was good but we sat in the back and it was very noisy. A little pricey - brunch for 4 was $175 + tip. Service was good. Recommend you get a seat up by the window or a booth when booking a reservation for brunch.

The food and service were very good but the noise level was terrible. It was so loud that we were straining to hear one another. Too bad something can’t be done about that.

Service was excellent. Wish I could have the recipe for the pumpkin pie - it was gluten free and you would never know it! The butter fish was also wonderful and the steak grilled to perfection. Would highly recommend!

Not only had the brunch menu lots of variety, ever single place was fantastic. Our waitress was attentive and nice, and never annoyed at us despite how many times we asked for a refill of coffee. I love that place!

My friend and I had a splendid time. The wait staff was brilliant helping us with our various and many eating concerns. The chef put together a modified selection from the menu that satisfied both our vegan and allergy list that was delicious and definitely not run-of-the-mill. We were treated so well and had such a good time, we're definitely looking forward to our return.

This was our first visit to the Drake. The waiter was amazing, woman who brought us to the table was very friendly and when I mentioned that we were there to celebrate my daughters first solo show she told the waiter and they brought over a special desert for us. Really well done and the meal was perfect. My only observation is that the restaurant is really loud..we had two large parties near us and honestly I could barely hear what my husband and daughter were saying. We were practically yelling at each other for conversation. So perhaps Saturday night wasn't the best night for that and will try another time during the week. But overall - great fun decor - really fabulous place.

I had made a reservation for the Drake hotel for our anniversary lunch, which I have never actually done before because I did not think that weekdays around 1pm would be that busy (because it falls just after the lunch rush between 12-1). Unfortunately our table was not ready when we arrived and we were sat by the window in between 2 other tables filled with customers. We felt a little too close for comfort. We asked the hostess if we could sit at a booth near the back of the restaurant where the lighting was a bit more dim and we had a bit more privacy. The hostess said no because the booths were reserved for parties of 3 or more. It did not seem all that busy on that side of the restaurant so it was unfortunate that she could not make an exception for us. The most unfortunate part was that during our lunch we saw 3 parties of only 2 people sitting in booths. How they became exceptions to the rule, I do not know. Regardless, this put a bad taste in our mouths (although the food was actually very good, so koodos to the cook) with this restaurant. The server was okay, he did his job but that's about it, no recommendations, no attempt at engaging with clients.

We came for dinner on a Sunday night after going to Lower Ossington Theatre. Very quiet at 7 pm. Great server. Great food notably the coconut shrimp maki, the lime dusted edamame and the fries with butter and pecorino cheese. There were 4 of us so we ordered a variety of things from the spicy tuna maki to the kung pao chicken to the trout. All excellent.

My husband and I had a blast here on a Saturday night after attending TIFF. Our waitress was the sweetest girl on earth, dinner was awesome and the rooftop patio afterwards was the place to be. Will definitely checking this out again for dinnner and the evening, maybe with a group of friends next time!

Fabulous spot! Went there on Sat night and the service and food were terrific! We have only had positive experiences at this restaurant and I would highly recommend it. Fun ambiance and a nice menu to choose from. Lots of choices from sushi to steak. My favourite dish is the Kung Pao chicken. I already look forward to my next visit.

Great food, shirt wine list with a bunch of winners on it. Fun if not professional service (why do they insist on asking the men to rate the wine when the lady ordered it?? We are three for three on that front here) - overall a fun place.

I heard this place was good brunch for good value. However, something in the Farmacy bowl was definitely expired, you could taste how sour it was. We told the waiter multiple times but he insisted that the kitchen said that's how it should taste. Another party beside our table complained about the same dish too. Nothing was done to exchange the dish until we complained for the third time.

The atmosphere at the Drake Hotel is great, especially in the restaurant. I loved the low lighting, candles on tables, and walls filled with books and old radios. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. I wouldn't recommend going here for dinner before a show, as service from the kitchen was slow. However, the food was delicious! We ordered the Kung Pao Chicken, Drake Fries and the Drake Burger, which was more than enough food for two people.

My experience here was AMAZING. I was with a group of 6 girls, with a reservation. We had a short wait (less than 10 minutes) while they got our table ready. We had the best waitress with honest opinions and recommendations off of the menu. She was MORE than attentive to us, took our photos, adjusted the thermostat when we mentioned it was a little chilly, was always around and really made the time here appreciated. Our food was DELICIOUS! We had 2 of the sushi rolls, Udon, duck, squid ink pasta, burger, steak & rose. All of which were beyond expectations. Would definitely come back!

Was there for seafood Sunday, waited over an hour for food to come. No one acknowledged that we were just sitting there with no food for an hour until I finally talked to a server. They ended up comping everything which I appreciated but I wish there was some proactive solution earlier on.

When we came in the host was trying to sway us to sit at the outside patio because the lounge, where I made my reservation for, was nearly empty on a Friday night (maybe to give the place the appearance of being busy to passer byers?) We ended up sitting inside. The food wasn't very fresh or flavorful. The peaches in my salad were not sweet, the fries were not seasoned etc. Our waitress dropped ketchup and it splatered on my leg and shoes. She just kind of stared at me. No apology and I had to ask for extra napkins to clean it up. It really is a beautiful space though.
