Brunch was outstanding. Gin Gin Mule was so refreshing. Pancakes were the best I've had.
We went to Trivia night. Was good fun. Food was okay not brilliant.
Stopped by the Drake Hotel on Queen st this past Sunday for a brunch get-together . I have been a few times and truly....each visit I think the food gets better. Waffles and Chicken...are outstanding. The Eggs-Benny....looks great...although I didn't get a chance to taste... the staff work as team to ensure you are seated, watered and coffee'd....the food delivery was also done in a timely manner. My only 'issue' is with the after several refills....the waitstaff seems to disappear......seems to be an interesting time to let the customer search for the waitstaff.....way too close to the 'payment'....and the addition of the 'tip'...just sayin....and will still be back soon.
Great service for our family with two 7 year olds- great food and ambience.
Super amazing service, food, and ambience. We went to celebrate my friend's engagement and it was so much better than I expected. The 'Mimosas for the Masses' option was perfect; they got to have their own engagement photobooth shoot.
Made and early brunch reservation, got seated at a lovely corner table. Nice a quiet to begin but filled up quickly, nice, bustling and cozy!
Food was delicious and came out in a timely manner.
Our server was upbeat and did a great job making sure we had everything we needed!
We left happy and full :)
Awesome food, fast service, cordial staff. Loved dining here!
good vibe, location, decor and atmosphere. the food isn't as good as it used to be.
Fantastic service, delicious food and wonderful ambiance
The whole experience was great. Great food with extremely patient and knowledgeable service. Would go back again!
A little too noisy if you want to sit and chat. Otherwise a very good experience..
Loud crowded bad food poor service. I’m glad I had a gift card because to pay my own money for this would have been a very bad value!
Had a great brunch. Very tasty food, lively atmosphere, good service.
The food was not the best, the drinks and ambience were good!
Cool atmosphere, seating was not the comfiest and very cramped. It’s a large space and very loud. Slightly pricier but decent value for what you get. I got the smoked salmon bagel - it was heaped with salmon! Our server was attentive and we never had to wait for drinks. We always stop here for breakfast when in Toronto.
Really great food, funky atmosphere, good service, would reccomend if you're looking for something out of the ordinary
The potatoes with my eggs benny were so disappointing. Whhyyyyy!!! What happened to the delicious old potatoes?
Went to the Drake Hotel for Winterlicious lunch and the food was delicious. Knowledgeable and friendly wait staff helped make the experience more enjoyable.
So my friends and i ate here for Winterlicious. We arrived around 5:35 and they told us they can’t serve Winterlicious until 6:00 (they didn’t say in the website so i didn’t expect that) I saw the other table leaving already. We had appetizers. My soup was really salty. salmon was okay and salad was big. Then we had main, my friend’s spaghetti pasta was also salty. She almost didn’t touch it so the server asked what’s wrong. Said too salty so they offered her new pasta but she’s already full so they offered her for to go. Cook also apologized personally. Dessert was very ordinary. Nothing special. Not worth for my money. So many restaurants around you can eat the same menu but cheaper price. The servers don’t even explain the food and doesn’t know which food goes to who. So not recommend this for people looking for Winterlicious menu
Planned for Winterlicious outing with my sister. Picked the lunch menu because of the options. Booked online, confirmed online. Upon being seated asked if we were there for Winterlicious. Turns out there was a system glitch - so brunch then. Brunch menu not great. Food not great served cold. Needed to ask for more coffee, server was busy. For Brunch I would prefer the School House and had i known gone there.
My beer cheddar soup was over-salted, but other than that, fun Winterlicious menu.
It's overpriced. We've tried three different versions of their fried chicken and it has been terrible EVERY TIME.
Delicious food and drinks! Very comfortable and fun vibe!
We went for winterlicious and the food was okay. The beer cheese soup was too salty, the tea brined pork was meh, enjoyed the salmon lox tho. The rest of the food that we ordered were so so, nothing really memorable. Although, I went there previously for summer drinks and we stayed at the patio upstairs, it was a nice ambiance.
The space, the energy, the location all amazing. My issue is the lunch and breakfast menu. This is my and truly there is nothing in it that is fantastic. It is heavy and not good. I even ordered the simple eggs and the potatoes were so full of vinegar they were not edible. The sausages also tasted terrible.
Make the menu less heavy and unhealthy and I would go back all the time!
It is funny I am receiving this survey because normally I would not have said anything. I booked my reservation online for Winterlicious through the link provided in association with the Drake Hotel on the Winterlicious page. When we arrived at the restaurant, we were told there was a glitch in the system and that Winterlicious is actually not offered on weekends at the Drake Hotel. This was quite a disappointment considering we had travelled all the way from Mississauga specifically for this event. Although the restaurant offered complimentary scones for their error, this is something that I feel should be corrected. Open table should not be able to allow Winterlicious bookings on days it is not being offered! I understand that this is perhaps not the fault of the restaurant, but something I do feel should be corrected to avoid losing future business and potentially unsatisfied customers!
Good food and good service. They had a good variety on their Winterlicious menu. In addition the staff was friendly
Having not been to the Drake for many years, we decided it give it a try for Winterlicious. We were pleasantly surprised with the creativity of presentation, the rich flavours of each dish and the generous portions (which are often shortchanged during Winterlicious). We also had a very friendly, competent server who offered us a delicious Italian red wine at a discounted price (since they were looking to clear out inventory on it). A win win all around!
Booked through OpenTable after being referred through a link by the City of Toronto Winterlicious event website for a lunch booking. It was not disclosed at the time on the City website or on OpenTable that the lunch Winterlicious menu was not offered on weekends. We were not contacted by the restaurant to verify our booking in advance and drove from out of town unknowningly. Upon arrival we were seated and not informed until our server came by that the Winterlicious lunch menu was not available. The server took over 10 minutes before we were greeted. The server did not offer us anything to make up for the situation. After speaking with the manager we were only offered free scones with the purchase of brunch and no apologies were provided for the mix-up. The restaurant has still not posted an OpenTable informational notice about the menu restrictions for weekends and the City of Toronto website has not been corrected either. Guests are still referred to weekend time slots. I understand the restrictions, but they were not well communicated and the explanations by the staff left me feeling like it was my fault and they did not care about the situation. Service was slow and rude. We left without promptly after the exchange with the manager and will not go back anytime soon. Overall rating -5 for experience and customer service.
Great food . Good service
Their burger is my favorite in town, and they also have amazing sushi, the location is super chic, and staff is friendly and not clingy. I go there as often as I can.
As usual the Drake was a great spot to grab brunch and catch up with a group of girlfriends! Delicious food and quick service.
We had a great time but we are not totally satisfied with the food. Overrated to our point of view.
Hip and trendy restaurant. Food was delicious. Prices reasonable. Food portions were just right. Great menu selection so there is something for everyone. Very short walk from The Great Hall in case you’re attending an event there.
Our server was amazing and was super patient as half of our group ran late!!!!
Had a fabulous meal. Fantastic menu, and our waitress Celeste was lovely and very knowledgeable. Standout service!!!
It was ok. Food was a little cold honestly. Almost like that we’re waiting for people to order what they nothing do.
Sausage was dry, bacon was over cooked.
Loved the atmosphere. Reasonable menu options. Gluten free options as well.
Music too loud for the size of the room which made conversation difficult, past two visits and told that the music can not be turned down.
