Drake One Fifty Ratings and Reviews
We had a wonderful evening at the Drake One Fifty. We ordered their famous beef burger ft. one egg and were delighted by the quality of the meat and most definitely the overall flavor. We would recommend 'saucing' up your fries by adding truffle butter and cheese! We also enjoyed a sourdough Margherita pizza with prosciutto (plus $6.00). The additional fee is well worth it, as your entire pizza will be 'decked out' in prosciutto! While the food was very good, our service was definitely the highlight. We had a wonderful server who recommended additional dessert spots and late-night drink gems in the local neighborhood. Overall, a great spot for mid-fine dining, a wonderful ambiance, good food, and magnificent service! If in Toronto and the neighborhood, would go again.
Great foo, service was amazing, I had at the beginning 3 people serving me and approaching asking if I was ready to order my meal, so I was a bit confused who my server was, but beside that all of them had great attitude and they were very friendly. Salmon Benedict eggs out was amazing very well poached eggs and the holland sauce was great too.
thank you so much
Great spot....simple but unique menu options....attentive servers & creative atmospehere...well done!
Not worth the hype. Food was ok. Ordered risotto and it was crunchy. It took forever for our drinks. The waiter didn’t bother to tell us about the specials. The seats are really close together. I don’t think we’d go back.
I have been here for lunch a couple of times and had a good meal each time. This time, I went for brunch with family and friends. Overall it was an ok experience. Nothing to shout about. Food was mediocre. My kids ordered the huevos and they liked it. I ordered a basic breakfast - eggs, sausages and has browns. I have to say a simple diner breakfast was hands down much better! Eggs were super greasy (like really greasy), sausages were a complicated combination, undercooked and kind of gross, bread (marble toast) came with no jam, you had to ask for jam and there was only one type - mango marmalade. If you're not big on marmalade you're screwed. The hash browns were just weird and not tasty at all. The frozen hashbrowns from the grocery store were yummier. I'm not expecting gourmet but for $17 I was hoping for a bit more quality and taste. The upside however was that the coffee was awesome!
Go for the cocktails and wonderfully downtown Toronto ambiance.
Great food and great atmosphere, definitely check them out
I usually really enjoy Drake One Fifty, but I don't know if I would ever go back for lunch. We waited over an hour for our food to arrive. It is not ideal for a lunch you have to get back to the office.
Attended Popera followed by dinner. Dinner was superb.
Great atmosphere, buzzy with people.
Servers very attentive & friendly.
Food great standard & good portion sizes.
Always a great choice for lunch! The food is tasty andcth c'est ice us great. What more can you ask for?
The wait staff was incredible and very helpful and accommodating for one colleague that was gluten free even though they didn't have that many options that made sure the food was safe.
I love this place. I've been quite a few times now. I love going for brunch. The ambiance and vibe is really nice. They have live music on the weekends which is really good and makes the place extra special. I love their food and their service is great too
Our food was tasty and the service was good but disappointed in the value (particularly of the cocktails where, nicely made, were not stiff enough for the price paid)
Yet another great outing! I find Drake 150 to be consistently pleasant, with great servers, delicious food and reasonable pricing. I'm looking forward to my next visit!
After dining here, I was actually surprised at how many good ratings this place has received. I picked this place due to the reviews, location, and looks of the menu for a business meeting debrief with the team. Overall, the service was quite good, considering the fact that it was post-business hours in the financial district and busy. We decided we wanted to just share appetizers as we chatted. That's where things went south. Overall, I'd say that none of the dishes we had were worth the money paid for them. Everything here is overpriced. With the meatballs, you receive 3 at a price of $5 each. The flavour is okay - but just that, okay. The charcuterie board is very underwhelming . We ordered one pizza (a basic margherita), which was good. Finally, we ordered the brussel sprouts which were by far the most disappointing. It was not noted on the menu that they're actually shredded and served cold. Even with the goma-ae dressing, the flavour was somewhat unwelcoming and we sent the dish back. Overall, from this experience, I was very disappointed and have no intent to return.
Note: The brussel sprouts on the printed menu were not listed as shredded, and are not on the PDF copy on the website as of writing this review. However, I notice they've altered the image version of the menu on their website to say "Shredded" - so hopefully an accurate representation now.
All hype! Not impressed with the food at all. The drinks were pretty good though and the waiters are knowledgable.
Great food, lively atmosphere, and attentive service!
First impression was that you certainly need a reservation if you are going to this restaurant. The booth offered to us were comfortable and relaxing. The ceviche appetizer was very tasty. I had the halibut al pastor meal; Did not care for the bacon base and beans (did not taste in pineapple relish. Did not worth the $35 price tag.
As usual the food at the Drake 150 was delish. We went for lunch and I had the pumpkin pesto cavatelli and it was amazing (I’m assuming it’s a fall special, so pop in soon). Gotta love the atmosphere of the Drake 150 too.
Live band was amazing! it set the mood for a great outing with friends :)
Beautiful space but service was suboptimal. Sangria was completely watered down with more ice than sangria and when we told the server he didn't do anything about it. If you are looking for watered down sangria and great food but don't mind waiting about an hour for food then this place is just for you.
Excellent food. The wi
Creative dishes in a unique ambiance
The service could have been a bit better-more attemative to empty glasses etc. However the food was delicious enjoyed by all and they have a fantastic wine menu.!
Our server was unattentative and seemed like he didn't want to be there. We had to ask him several times to get service. That was pretty disappointing to be honest. Otherwise the food was decent
fun atmosphere... patio was a tight-squeeze
food was good / wine list was ok
Great food. Wonderful waiter. But we're in our 60's and the noise level was unbearable. A very long wait for our food, but not because waiter was not great - just too busy.
Staff was very attentive and service was excellent. Food was great with good sized portions.
We'd walked by often, but this was our first visit. I'd call it more pub than resturant, but it was expensive for what you get. The food was okay, but for a place known for its burgers, it was disappointing.
We were at Drake 150 for Sunday brunch. Loved everything. The food, the ambience and service. There was a live band playing some great music.
A bit costly but the food was very creative and delicious. Was the best mushroom mobley I ever had.
Will definitely be back on a Sunday afternoon.
Good food, great service, interesting cocktails. Loved the Sunday brunch jazz band. The location is a great midpoint for friends meeting from the east and west ends. We will be back!
The food was very tasty but portion were small for the price you paid. We had an appetizer of meatballs that consisted of 4 bitesize meatballs and the cost was $20.
Outstanding food and service. They support local business too which rare and important
The atmosphere and service were great! My friend had the burger which was delish. I had the chicken confit salad and sadly it was really awful. Chicken was bland and no flavor overall in the salad. Just a big no.
Food is usually really good, place gets rammed and service is spotty.
GREAT, my Halibut was delicious! I am going to recommend it to everyone!
