Drake One Fifty Ratings and Reviews
We were a party of four and we had the pre-opera menu. The starters were superb and the mains delicious and just enough
The decor was fantastic. The service was great.
We’ll return for sure!
This was our valentines dinner. Overall we had a great time. The food was good. Not the largest selection but a good one none the less. Our server Matt was great. Seemed busy towards the end our meal. And was dealing with a group of people that seemed more high maintenance. Overall good experience, good food, good space.
Service: I asked for a more private table on OpenTable and they offered a corner table so my partner and I could sit next to each other. Service was prompt after we were seated. Food arrived at a good pace.
Food: I had the boar chops and my partner had the fried chicken, and we were both happy with our order. Tartare and oysters-both good. Opera cake-delightful first bite and maybe the second, but that's about it. A little too sweet for my liking, but if you are a macaron person, order this cake. It tastes exactly like a 4 layered flattened pistachio raspberry macaron.
Drinks: I had the brown butter maple and naked and famous, both very nice.
Always great food, notch above any chain. Impress yourself by going here and not there. Noisy and close - you may catch yourself yelling.
It’s nice place to have dinner . Good food comfort service, overall is great ! We definitely shall come again soon .
Probably we should sit outside when it’s getting warm and on sunny days.
Great service and great food!
Excellent and very tasty food! Good service, Good beer.
Went for brunch for my daughter's birthday and everyone enjoyed themselves! The food was amazing and the live music provided a great ambiance. The wait staff were very attentive and accommodating! Will
Definitely return at another time!
Even for downtown Toronto , this “brunch “ was extremely overpriced and not worth the 70$ with tax and tip that it cost to eat for two. For a little bit more than you can go to the old mill and eat like a king, as opposed to eating like a princess.
Great atmosphere, terrible waitstaff. Small group dining. Either the wait staff doesn't know their menu or rather deceptively up sold an item that wasn't appropriate for the group. Wouldn't recommend eating here. Plenty of great places in the city that won't try and trick you.
Everything was fabulous! Food, service, decor, and ambience.
We had a show at 8 so I made an early reservation at 5:30 for 4ppl. We got sat at a cozy booth way at the back, near the kitchen where all the servers pick up the food. So we missed out on being able to see all the interior decor and people watching. So that's my only negative feedback really. Im my opinion that should be the last table sat in the restaurant...
Amazing. Great quality. Lighting for photos could be better.
The food was amazing. The seats are a bit to close together to comfortably discuss business with any semblance of privacy.
It was a weird night with a lot of misses. One guest was gluten-free and we had to constantly ask if he could eat certain dishes. We were charged for 2 orders of Brussels sprouts because the first wasn't gluten free. The side orders of sprouts and carrots came out as appetizers. One guest never got his cider. One guest asked for meatballs and a side of pasta and she got the kids pasta (over-cooked flavourless noodles). Our server was friendly, but never wanted to interrupt our conversation, which instead meant hovering over us awkwardly until we spoke first. Been to Drake150 a lot and it's usually better, same for the Hotel and Prince Edward County. But there's so many similar options downtown I probably won't be back.
Very sorry to write this, but not happy. We waited a while for breakfast dish and waiter comes over and drops bowl of ketchup on my sons pants. He then swears and says we will deal with that ASAP...A lady comes by and hands a cloth and soda water to wipe a stain that covered about 15 inches wide??? There was no consideration to the bill ( at least to cover his dish-not that we needed the $$ but out of principal!!)
Lady then leaves her card and says if you needed anything let me k now???
After almost $200 for a breakfast for 4 with no alcohol, I would say that it won’t be a place I would visit again....Drake or no Drake!!
Brunch was tasty, live music was a nice touch but service was slow.
Great kale salad. Great pizza. Good oysters but $$. Wife must have dropped a piece of food in her sparkling water and the waiter replaced it. Great service.
The one fifty burger is the best burger I’ve ever had.
Lovely meal & excellent service; especially love the cocktail selection.
As it was my first time at 150 and I had made a lunch reservation on-line the previous week in my name, I was rather disappointed in both the service and the food. I had requested a table for 2 by the window. When I came in, I was asked if I had a reservation which I did - I was told I was the first to arrive by the hostess - and I was promptly shown to the back of the restaurant against the wall which was very noisy and hard to squeeze through to my seat. After waiting 15 minutes, I texted my business colleague thinking maybe he had gone to the wrong restaurant. He texted me that he had shown up shortly after me, gave my name as the name booked under the reservation, and he was also told that he was the first to arrive, and he was promptly shown to a table by the window as per the reservation request. Obviously, we were seated by different hostess and there was no communication between them. After being shown to the table that I had originally requested, we ordered our lunch. My colleague and I both requested half salad and half french fries with our sandwiches as offered by the server; however, my colleague received all french fries and no salad. The server did rectify the order by bringing a salad to my colleague. The food (my colleague had the Pacific Cod and I had the Philly Cheese Steak) was OK, not spectacular. The bread for the Philly Cheese Steak was too thick and was soggy. I do think this restaurant is highly overrated and overpriced and will not be returning in the future.
One of our favourite places for brunch. They recently have a live band playing on the weekends for brunch. The service has always been the best. We noted the dishes grew bigger in portion.
My husband and I came for date night. We were not impressed with the service or the food. My husband wanted the rack of lamb special but could not have the sweet potato puree that came with it. He just asked if it could be left off and if he could have a vegetable instead. This was due to dietary restrictions. We were told no substitutions were allowed. I think for this type of restaurant they should be able to accommodate dietary restrictions. We ended up ordering it anyway and my husband and I switched plates. I ate the sweet potato and he ate the salad that came with my meal. Overall the food was cold and the service lacked. Our plates sat for quite sometime before they were even cleared even though our server walked by several times and saw that we were finished. He was busy talking to other servers. We won't be coming back.
The menu is not inspiring and the dining experience was disappointing while we found the cost way beyond the value of the meal.
Amazing sommelier! Hilarious and approachable who shared his favourites and not so favourites on the menu.we worked our way through their creative cocktails and even though it was pricey it’s completely a must try.
Nice setting. Pretty good good. V quiet on Sunday, but imagine it would be good fun for drinks on a weekday evening.
Live band was awesome!
Showed up with a reservation at 830, and they told us sorry the kitchen was closed for a party and weren’t sure how we got the reservation on OpenTable. The manager allowed us to be seated and we order drinks and starters and did not want to rush and 3 separate servers asked us if we would put our main order so they could could close the kitchen.
Very rude and rushed, just a strange experience for a nice dining place. Won’t be back
The menu was quite varied, a lot of unusual offerings which was nice, and everything we ordered was well executed and tasty.
Can get a little noisy, but servers were attentive.
Great place for a sunday night dinner, it was quiet and the food was delicious.
A good choice for a date of 2. Lots of good drinks and a lively vibe.
Had a blast! Great soups and the burger was outstanding!
We got there early and plates got there an hour after sitting down, despite the restaurant being fairly empty when we got there. Food was great.
Excellent in all areas. Food, service, surroundings and value for the money.
My boyfriend and I were celebrating an early anniversary, and after being 3 months a part from our last visit this was the perfect spot to reunite and get our love of food on. We decided to go tapas style, and order a few dishes for the table. First of all, the service was fantastic. We were quite hungry after sitting up at the bar for an hour and our server Greg made sure that the food was out fast and hot. Starting with Nonna's meatballs, which were incredibly juicy and made you feel right at home. We are big fans of chorizo, and so of course we also ordered the Queso Fondido flatbread which was again a warm slice of comfort. The third dish was the pork cheeks that were melt in your mouth good with a spicy kick thanks to the harissa that complimented the meat. To top it off, we couldn't possibly fit any dessert in but in celebration of our anniversary Greg treated us to some montenegro's which rounded out the flavours of the food and made our evening all the more special. Thank you Drake One Fifty for making our reunion a magical one!
Went here for an anniversary dinner and were very pleased with the experience as a whole. Service was wonderful and friendly, and the atmosphere of the restaurant was playful and romantic. Beer and cocktails were lovely, as were the fancied drake fries we ordered to start. My entrée was phenomenal (the butcher's cut pork belly special) but his entrée (the rabbit pasta) left a little something to be desired. Nonetheless, we would recommend this place to friends and will likely be returning soon. Cheers!
Was ok, but just ok. Didn't like that they wanted to cram the 3 of us into a table that barely accommodates 2. Service not as attentive as it should have been. Especially at the prices for their food.
Great restaurant with delicious food and drinks! We went here before the Nutcracker at the Four Seasons Performing Arts Centre and it was exactly what we were looking for. Super close to the venue and excellent service. Will definitely be going back!
Great brunch menu ! Lots to choose from , and all delicious ! Good coffee and great Caesars helped settle the hangover ! ( chef’s hash browns also known as cute as well).
Never disappointed !
The service and food and ambiance was amazing. Drake 150 is our go to spot for our birthdays and special occasions.
The restaurant has a good vibe, varied menu and the food was great . Tastiest truffled fries, delicious steak tartar. The server was friendly, thoughtful but not intrusive.
