No alcohol. Just water to drink.
After tax and tip $37.00 for a beef sandwich with "salad" on the side.
Salad was just lettuce...literally no other ingredients. NO OTHER INGREDIENTS.
If you're going to offer a "special" why don't you instruct your servers to share how much it is...since the "special" seems to be the most expensive thing on the menu.
$37. For lunch. Outrageous.
Service was good, our waiter was very informative.
Unfortunately once we got our food we never saw our waiter again so that was a little disappointing.
Overall my husband and I had a great time. The restaurant was very welcoming, the atmosphere was cozy & elegant.
Having the DJ there was a great touch. Music choices were fantastic! Would definitely return.
Loved the atmosphere and decor, the food and drinks were great (especially enjoyed the pizza!). They even had a photo booth!
Server was disengaged.
A very solid option in the financial district, where service and/or food can be questionable despite being pricey. The menu is a bit small but the food here is thoughtful and tasty with most bases covered from carnivores to vegetarians, and the service is warm and accommodating without being too fussy. Bonus: they know what a "reservation" is (too many bad experiences in the same area where you make a reservation, show up on time or a tad early for it, and still wait 15-30 minutes for your "reserved" table). I'd much rather go here for a business lunch than nearly anywhere else in the area because you're guaranteed to get seated when you reserved for, and if you're on limited time they tell you honestly how they can accommodate that. Drinks are great too, right down to the non-alcoholic cocktails! I like the decor here too, and the music is loud enough to be heard in the background, but you can still have a conversation.
Tl;dr: The Drake understands hospitality.
We started with the bread basket with ricotta and hummus. Fantastic. We all went on to order salads, sides and mains from all parts of the menu. Everyone was very happy with what they ordered. Classic dishes with delightful twists. Super fresh and wonderful mix of flavors. Highly recommended and I will keep coming back.
Loved it! Service and food were spectacular. Will definitely go again.
Surprisingly limited menu. Good food but overpriced for what we got.
We went on early on a Sunday evening and the place was quiet. Bottles of wine were half price. Our server was knowlegable and attentive.
Perhaps because of the ‘hype’ I was underwhelmed. The menu
is very limited so I didn’t feel as if I had a ‘Brunch’ experience; more so a late breakfast.
Food tasted good, servers were very friendly but at times challenging to get their attention / get our orders taken which is frustrating when you see other workers (not your own server) just shooting the breeze, laughing and having a good time in eye shot.
They take reservations though which is rare for brunch in Downtown Toronto so, that’s a plus.
Amazing food! The bison bavette was mouth watering. Great service. It was a litle loud because there was a huge group for a party, but it was a still a nice evening out.
Great food. Excellent service. Took my 15 year old son, who called his burger and fries “the best he has ever eaten”.
A few minor points. Waiter offered us “still or sparkling water”. I ordered sparkling to which the waiter brought a bottle of San Pellegrino. Many Toronto restaurants serve house sparkling water for a couple of bucks not $7+ bottled water. Overall a bit pricey; unfortunately the trend in downtown Toronto. With one alcoholic drink, one appetizer, two entrees plus one dessert was $140 including tax and tip.
Drake 150 is conveniently located for lunch or dinner in the financial district. Accessible from the Path and near The subway. Lots of good menu choices, good wine and beer selection. I had the cod sandwich and it was delicious. Friendly service. Seating is a bit tight but normal for downtown. The Drake 150 would be a great spot for after work drinks or dinner.
Over priced menus. Services are not worth to pay. My server was not pleasure. I really didn't want to go. Now i understand why most of people who were restaurant was ordering pizza or burgers because this Drake restaurant is only worth for pizza or burgers. (To be honest i feel even pizza and burger are over priced) highly recommend to go to Earl's, King Taps, Keg stake house or Red's rather than Drake. Dont wast your money and time in this restaurant.
Service was relatively slow to start but picked up as the restaurant died down. Our server was nice and fairly attentive overall.
The food was plated beautifully but a bit disappointing. One of our guests had the risotto which had congealed (presumably after sitting under a heat lamp. Two guests had the scallops which were slightly overdone and the turnip cake was rubbery and cold. Pizzas were average. Steak tartare was delicious and a great app to share. Visually all of the dishes were impressive and flavours were good.
We had a wonderful dinner, with excellent cocktails. Our server was very solicitous about our dietary needs and had the kitchen make modifications to suit us. This was a pre-theatre dinner, so we arrived at 5:00 - the noise level was very comfortable, but later times may be louder. The art work and video installation added noticeable creativity to the experience.
A very enjoyable dinner for us all!
Food was fantastic, definitely recommend the Maple Brown Butter Old Fashioned if you like those. We had the Bison Bavette and one of the daily specials and we will be back to try other dishes.
Was ok. Nothing special for the price. Food was good but much better options within a 5-10 min walk.
Food was decent. Bison was lovely, and bugger was great.the ice cream and lemon cheese cake were amazing. Steaks were not very warm and I was surprised that all they came with was potato wedges. Our server was pleasant and the service was good but as awful as this is to say, he smelled very strongly. I would still recommend this place.
My wife and I have enjoyed Drake’s Hotel and Devonshire locations numerous times. 150 seems to lack the charm and artistic points of interest that make the other locations 5 star. I’ve always enjoyed the food in the past. Wednesday I ordered the dry-aged steak. It was over-cooked, tough, and took a muscular effort to cut. Flavours were great, but a disappointing food experience overall. Steak knives are rather dull and could use an upgrade too.
Nona’s meatballs were bonkers yummy 🍅 Service was great - Loved the background on ingredients etc. as good was delivered to the table.
The food was really good - we could probably have skipped dessert. The cocktails were a little expensive, but well made. The music was too loud.
Food was amazing. Great atmosphere and great service. But tables are really close together. So don’t go if you want to be intimate or have a private conversation
Disappointed with the vegetarian options. They should have allowed us to order from the regular lunch menus instead of just the brunch menu
Our server was inattentive and almost annoyed when we flagged her down for another drink.
Food was sub par - the Caesar salad was flavourless and very disappointing :(
One of my favourite downtown spots to eat. I highly recommend the Drake burger!
Omelette extremely salty. French Toast undercooked and too sweet. Eggs benedict very good and so was the service. If they can fix those two things regarding the menu it would be a better restaurant.
Good food, great ambiance, beautiful design and layout but pricey drinks and a little bit loud.
The drinks were gross and the food very salty. I ordered fish and boy did it smell fishy. I would NEVER eat here again. The service was slow. Would not recommend anyone go there that i know.
My pasta had egg in it and it was so runny. I felt so ill after!
Food is expensive. Taste is okay but the quantity of food doesn’t justify the price.
Great venue for a group of friends. Fabulous helpful staff and delicious food. They gave us vouchers for the photo booth - nice touch to use with our friends visiting from UK!! We will be back ....without kids to sit on those heavenly green bar stools!!
The waiter kept interrupting constantly and was incredibly rude. Food was not good and ridiculously priced high. Overall atmosphere was cramped and loud. Unpleasant and unwelcoming. Would not go back and would not recommend to anyone.
Had higher expectations compared with Drake Devonshire. Service was very slow, food very greasy, had an aftertaste for hours. Will not come back unless hear about significant improvements
Great place and fun photo booth! Would recommend for any occasion. Service was great!
Going to the theatre
We were headed to an afternoon performance at The Royal Alexandra Theatre and decided to grab a table at Drake One Fifty. The restaurant decor here is awesome. It has a very NYC or Chicago vibe and I really enjoyed hanging out and having lunch here. The menu wasn't exhaustive but had a few great options and it was kinda hard to pick. We settled on Nonna's Meatballs with fresh house made ricotta cheese. They were so good. We also had the Hawaiian sourdough crust pizza. It came with a pair of shears to cut the pizza into slices. I wasn't sure how that would go but it worked incredible well. The pizza was excellent. Like a wood fired NYC style pizza. I'd order it again. To wash this all down we got a couple glasses of the Fat Banker Unoaked Chardonnay. Great glass of wine and I highly recommend it. Too bad it's exclusive to the restaurant. I'd get some for home.
Food is beyond amazing!!! Just slow service...
went for brunch. have to say was surprised by how tasty the food was given that to me the food looked rustic. Service was attentive although my teen was left to hold the table herself when we first arrived as we had to deal with an emergency with other kid and she felt uncomfortable and received zero service. (which i get but in 3 years she'll be 18 and now has a less favourable impression of this establishment). i would eat there again - great feel, live music, great food.
Was not great evening meal choices and place seemed not so busy kind of empty and prices for options it had was not worth the money. Boring!!
