food was great! outside was crazy hot - but inside there didn't seem to be any air movement, so it was pretty muggy and hot inside as well...
will still return!
This is a great place to spend a summer’s evening on the patio overlooking the park – if you’re lucky enough to snag a table there! Good food, friendly service.
Server didn’t really check up on us, had one of the orders wrong, no water on the table. The umami burger was okay, pizzas were better, especially the pizza crust/dough, that was the best part. Our party did not enjoy the spring chicken pizza. My personal favourite was probably the big kahuna. Olive you so much was good too. Bee sting was okay. The chipwich was good.
Very good quality of food for brunch. Some items were pre made so food would come out cold. But overall very good.
Food was good but service is so slow. Took 10 minutes just to get our bill then have to wait for machine. By this point dinner rush was done.
The pizza was amazing the appetizer wasn't what I expected but it was still good
We had a lovely dinner to celebrate an anniversary. The food was excellent (hummus plate, salmon bowl, and an arugula and fennel salad with salmon). Great wait staff. The noise level was reasonable even with a crowded bar and baseball game being broadcast. One of our favourite places for special occasions.
I've been to the Bread Bar three times and every time has been delicious. The menu changes seasonally so I've never had the same salad or pizza twice, which is rare for me. Once I like something at a restaurant I tend to stick to it. But this kind of forces you to try new things. Of course they keep some things on the menu the same, such as the mussels, fries, and margarita pizza. All of which are also delicious! I would eat here every week if I could.
My favorite place to eat when I visit Guelph. Great food and service. Consistently the best place for casual dining in Guelph,
Nathan was great! We really enjoyed our Sunday Brunch. $33.00 plus tax which includes 2 "boozy drinks" is an awesome deal. The food is always great here.
Been here twice. Originally from Toronto but one of my favourite restaurants compared to any in the city. Always great food, the MVP pizza is amazing. And the service is always excellent, they are always nice and attentive. I highly recommend this place, definitely want to be a regular here.
Our server Nate was awesome and the food was unbelievable! It was my first time and I will definitely be back!
Out with friends. Great food and timely service.
Great food and great ambiance. Nice patio as well!
It was all amazing...great food, great ambiance, great service!
Open Table reservation is perfect. Great food and great waitress.
We were introduced to this restaurant in Hamilton and since that was a great experience we wanted to try the Guelph location. Both places are excellent. Service is quick and friendly. Love their pizzas- unique toppings. Yummy home baked like desserts. Good value for the money.
Best pizza anywhere in Canada ..... 😊😊😊
The food was great and I was honestly surprised when we got our bill, it was cheaper than expected.
The only hiccup we had was that we originally didn't receive our appetizer. When we alerted our server, as she handed out our meals, it turns out she didn't write it down. Someone (Manager, probably.) came by a bit later with our appetizer, which she took off our bill.
They have the best pizza I’ve ever had
You can tell the staff and chefs genuinely care about the food they serve. The menus are thoughtful and food beautifully presented. Waitstaff are fantastic, just the right amount of attention. I love eating there or having takeout. Always awesome!
The Bread Bar serves delicious food and has great atmosphere. The Sunday brunch is pricey, but so worth it!
The service was slower than usual and the waiter forgot about our to go order that was placed when we arrived. We’ll definitely be back but it wasn’t the best experience
great food and great atmosphere.
would highly recommend this restaurant
I visited for Sunday Brunch with some friends and family. It took quite a while to get seated even though I made reservations. The food on the brunch menu was alright, I don’t recall any item that stood out to be above average. The pizza however was amazing as always. I’ll definitely visit again for dinner.
Brunch was great as usual. Fresh food and the server was awesome.
Have eaten here many times. Always great! Food, service and ambience are all excellent. This last visit had Sunday brunch and the food choices are outstanding. A great variety, sure to please all tastes.
I've been to Bread Bar lots of times and will keep coming back. I ordered something I didn't like this time, so consequently rated the food lower. Usually it's delicious.
Great food, fast service. Would definitely recommend. Creative menu.
Very pricey meal for tail end of salmon and some greens. Server was apologetic and accommodating though.
The Bread Bar Guelph never disappoints. My favourite restaurant to go to. Food is always amazing and the staff are wonderful.
this is the 3rd time we've come to the Bread Bar for brunch. it never fails to impress. i wish i could eat this every sunday! thanks for the great food. FYI - you need to try the french toast.
Always amazing .. fresh and so delicious it’s become my favourite place to brunch!
Kevin didn’t give back a til
Great staff and ambience do not make up for mediocre food. Bread tasting plate was very good, the burning rosemary very off-putting.
Falafel bowl good, but 4 falafel and hummus and salad - $19???, risotto not very good, - over cooked rice ( not arborio rice, which it should be), grainy sauce, very strong, scant broccoli. This was pretty much rice and cheese, $20?
Smoked salmon soup not advertised as Manhattan style, but was. Tomato base with salmon?Odd. Very over-cooked salmon; extremely chewy.
The coffee was good, the featured cider too. The featured beer, swampy.
Meals were good, not many gluten free options but plenty of vegetarian options. Service was just okay, nothing extraordinary. I would recommend it for business meals that are on the more casual side.
Best brunch. Great value! Go after 11 to take advantage of the booze!
Great pizza and wine. Bread pudding was good as well. Service was okay, had to remind the waitress to bring the wine we ordered. Mussels were very tasty and so was the garlic bread it came with but why only one slice when there were two of us? Asked for more but took too long, while waiting for more bread 3 different wait staff tried to take the mussels plate away :)
The only thing I was disappointed in was that they do not offer any special treatment for a special occasion. It was my daughter's 25th birthday and Bread Bar is her favourite restaurant. I had hoped there would be some gesture from the restaurant to recognize her birthday. I even asked ahead of time when I made my reservation, but the answer was no.
