How do you take a classic staple of American dining, the steakhouse, and break down the traditional thinking to create something entirely new and exciting? That was the question that acclaimed chef and restaurateur Sam Marvin (creator of the much-celebrated Los Angeles restaurant Bottega Louie) posed when he decided the time was right to reinvent what has long been the trademarks of the steakhouse genre – masculine vibe, dark rooms, fancy waiters, slabs of oversized beef and overly expensive pricing. The answer became Echo & Rig Butcher and Steakhouse, located at the charming Tivoli Village just off of Summerlin Parkway; 15 minutes from the famed Las Vegas Strip.

Our first time at this highly regarded restaurant. It did not disappoint! Food was excellent. The rib eye was perfectly prepared and literally cut with a fork (I know people say that all the time but in this case it was true). Service was very good. We sat outside with a very relaxed atmosphere. We’ll definitely be back.

Celebrated our 28th anniversary.Saturday night, so it was busy. Had a reservation made through OpenTable. Requested a patio table through the app, but, I don’t think the restaurant received the request. No problem. Our server, Kayla, was so pleasant and fun. Very attentive and helpful. Suggested menu items and was very polite. Food was delicious. Steaks cooked perfectly. Medium was cooked properly and was seasoned well. I recall from previous visits that the bread was served warm and was much a better quality. Had the tomato, watermelon with cucumber and onion is a favorite and is dressed well. Also, the shrimp cocktail was fresh and delicious. They provide a delicious ice cream sundae with a candle which was very sweet.Thank you. Always a good choice for a nice steak dinner.

I was very pleasantly surprised. The decor was very upscale and open. This did however, contribute to an increased noise level. Despite this the service was top rate and the food and variety was excellent. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone wanting an upscale dining experience.

Our forth time at Echo & Rig. The high quality of the staff and food make for a great evening. Tried mushroom fries and they were amazing. The consistency of experience shows me management creates an environment for the staff to excel in.

The overall experience was not too bed because of the nice view from the open patio but this was the only plus . Food is not delicious but so so in taste . Unusual presentation of some dishes . They brought the frosen meat of animals to the table like butchers and it’s disgusting. For those who do not eat meat vegetarian is just terrible to see . Salad was nice only with its name but not with a taste , there were no real beats in a beats salad ! Crab cake was the only tasty thing in a manu that we liked . Everything is too overpriced and the happy hours was a fake thing that you can use only for bar downstairs and it’s smells bad in there and a lot of dirty dishes . I would not go there again .

I said to my wife last night during our meal, that this spot is top 3 favorites we've been out to. The food was amazing. The server was very friendly. The unbelievable part was the check. I've been to Vegas many times and every time eating out feels like we have to refinance out mortgage to pay for it. For the quality and quantity of food, this place has by far the best value in Vegas.

I have eaten at many restaurants in the fine dining category, and unfortunately, this one was quite disappointing. To start, we had reservations for a party of two, and we were seated after many other parties of various sizes were seated, upon showing up at the time of our reservation. Upon being seated, I asked for spring water, yet they only have filtered water, which is quite gross for Las Vegas, even if it is triple filtered. Beyond that, the food tasted just alright, even compared with restaurants of lower quality. I ordered a filet, medium, and I can't explain how much blood was on my plate. The waitress even stated "warm pink in the middle?" and the steak was dark red; very disappointing. Much of the food was unflavorful, the bread was served ice cold, and the food was way overpriced for the taste. I could tell the quality of the food was relatively higher, especially given the grass-fed beef. However, the sauteed spinach looked, felt, and tasted quite old and should not have been okay to serve, especially at this level of restaurant. The ambience was nice, the staff friendly, and the table wear was high quality. At the end of our dining experience, there was a mosquito flying around my food for a good 30 seconds. Overall, we were quite disappointed with our anniversary dinner, and would have rather gone to El Dorado next door to get much tastier food and filet for half the price.

First time guests and we brought another couple with us. This restaurant was recommended to us by a neighbor who has been to Echo & Rig several times when visiting Las Vegas. The steaks were delicious and served with house made chips. The sides were also very tasty. Not an empty table. Everyone seemed to be enjoying their meals. This is definitely a gem.

Best steak house in Vegas. Acoustics could stand some work; background noise is excess.
