Eclipse di Luna - Dunwoody
This was the first time anyone in our group had been to the Dunwoody location. We had all been to the Buckhead location which is great. Everyone in our party had a good time. We'd come to Eclipse di Luna to celebrate a friend's birthday.
The Dunwoody location is.....cool. Similar to Buckhead, it has an "off-the-beaten-path" type of feel. The atmosphere is lovely and festive. The staff is pleasant and responsive. The food was good, however, some other restaurants in the city with a similar tapas-style format do a much better job of providing rich flavors on small plates.
There were only two minor issues for the evening. One, our reservation request was not read. In it, we chose to have an indoor table for our party. Upon arrival, the group had been seated outside on the patio (closed in and heated) in the far back right next to the exit door! The hostess team immediately corrected the error and moved the party to a more suitable and enjoyable table inside. The other was an extra charge from the bar for $2.00 to have a drink put into a martini glass. The catch was I had NOT requested the martini glass; that was the way they chose to serve the drink!! Again, the issue was quickly addressed and rectified by our server.
The music was just starting as we were nearing the end of dinner, so we only got to enjoy about 30 minutes of live music. The band was pretty good. There were a few people who chose to enjoy it by dancing.
If you're looking for a good spot to have a great time with friends, Eclipse di Luna is a good choice.
amazing, as per usual!
While some of the tapas were excellent in taste (meat options), others were bland in seasoning and overall flavor. Also was disappointed with the seafood paella, for the price and lack of seafood in the dish for two the value is not good compared with other restaurants that offer the same entree.
All the seafood items were sparse and very small sized, yet did have higher quantity chicken and chorizo. But most disappointing was the flavor of the rice (hardly any saffron, if any at all) and the rice was not cooked properly without any char or crispness on bottom layer. While the menu says to allow 35 minutes to prepare, the paella arrived in less than 15 minutes!
Drinks were good, but pricey and the live music was excellent. Compared with some other options I'm not sure if I would recommend this restaurant in the future for food... but for some drinks and music would highly recommend.
Party of 4 - tried about 10 different tapas and 2 orders of seafood paella (for 2)
It was great! Waitress was very pleasant!just wish they put a little more food in some of the plates
This was just an unfortunate experience from the moment we sat down we were rushed by our unfriendly staff and were in and our in 30 minutes. We felt they just needed the table. I had people visiting and wanted them to enjoy the music and ambiance. Our seating was not good, however, in the past, I've always really enjoyed the experience.
We had a lovely server but couldn’t hear her name because of the noise level. Our food and drinks arrived as quickly as we ordered it. The food and drinks were delicious. We had a great time
tasty tapas and vibrant atmosphere. certainly a popular local place which i like to find
Abdul was awesome!!!
I wish they could make the food less salty.
Great service and great food! Highly recommend
I always enjoy my visits to Eclipse de Luna! The food, music, ambiance are great. My only negative is the noise level. I can hardly hear the conversation between me and my companions. Especially during happy hours.
The food and music were great as always!
Great variety of tapas. Lamb chomps were outstanding!
Food was really good, as always at this location
I love this establishment! I went on a Saturday evening around 10pm and they had a band playing live music. It was such a good time salsa dancing in between enjoying our drinks & tapas! Great date night with your significant others or friends who are ready to enjoy themselves, music and food! I love the goat cheese balls, chorizo & dates wrapped in bacon, the potatoes and steak & mashed potatoes!
My girlfriends got together to celebrate my birthday.
Consistent food and service. Very casual and loud. One of the best Tapas places around.
Our experience at Eclipse di Luna was fantastic! They have a great wine selection but the food was the real star of the evening. We tried so many different dishes including Ropa Vieja a la Vino Tinto, Fondiodo con Camarones, Queso Frito con Miel, and much more. Our favorite was the Gambas al Ajillo, the shrimp was cooked perfectly and the sauce was amazing. Our server Mike was so attentive and knowledgeable- he took great care of us! We will definitely be back!!
Parking is horrible. It gets really noisy loud inside. Outside tables are better and weather proof. Great service.
It's great place to meet friends and share plates. Everyone can order something different and each one gets to try something !
The food was amazing and the atmosphere was even better! We had an awesome time!
The live music was good and not too loud.
Good selection on the menu.
Food was pleasant, prices were great (happy hour), and service was friendly!
This is one of my favorite restaurants. The food is always good and love the ambiance.
Will be going back this week. Lauren was outstanding!!!!
It is a fun place to go. The food is ok. The portions seem to be even smaller then at our last visit! On ordering the calamari, half the plate was filled with chopped tomatoes! The flank steak was three very tiny slices! The only normal sized ‘tapas’ was the Spanish cheese board. Our server was nice enough but his time was taken up by a large party behind us! He came by maybe 3 times over the course of 2 hours we were there. There seemed to be several tables with large parties that perhaps they should limit them so as to not take away from smaller gatherings. For the price, I would say chose another...for the ambience it is a good choice.
Live music, good food and drinks
Perfect spot for a great Valentine’s day meal with my wife! Good live band, great food and excellent service. HIGHLY recommend for any special occasion or just some amazing bacon-wrapped chorizo...and ceviche!
the tables are set too close to each other, the food was a mixed bag , service was excellent.
This place is a favorite for my friend & I. However, this visit it took about 10mins for our server to even greet us & we arrived about 15 mins prior to the end of happy hour & still had to request that our tab be adjusted for their happy hour specials because they took so long to take our order & tried charging us for everything at regular price. On top of that, the server we had got our drinks wrong & was not sharp w/her service.
The overall ambiance & food, however, was great as usual & the music & dancing was fabulous!
I was very upset because the paella wasn’t good, the pulpo saltado was overlook , the sangría was made with cheap wine, so disappointed. It was a birthday celebration for a friend ( they charged $6 for a tiny piece of cake)
It was Salsa Dancing night with A Latin band so that explains the increased energy and noise!
Had a reservation for 7:15, but wasn't seated until 7:30. Seated on side porch with no view of the band. Service was great. Food really good, but super small 2 bite salmon. I'll go again.
Unfortunately, after not eating here for several months I decided to join with a friend that was in town for business. The service was very good, but the food wasn't as tasty as it used to be. The tables and chairs need replaced as they are old and all of our chairs were wobbly.
It's unfortunate because I used to love this place. May not be back for some time.
The bartenders were outstanding and took great care of us!
Delicious midday lunch, service and food excellent.
Portions were ridiculously small, food was ok though!!
The food was amazing and we had a great great time. We will definitely be back… The only problem we had was it was a little hard to hear because the ceiling is so high and the acoustics are a little bouncy
