    We enjoyed the buffet at the Eclipse although thought it would be a nicer ambiance. It was quite loud and felt more like a cafeteria. Other reviews mentioned the sticky tables. This was an understatement. They really were gross. I am not sure when everyone is mentioning this why they don't put on white table cloths. I would expect that anyways with being a higher end restaurant. That said the food was good and as someone who needs gluten free I was very thankful for gluten free clam chowder soup, dessert options and many salad and dinner options. The food was fresh and delicious. Overall we enjoyed our time there, definitely the food.

    I realize that finding servers is difficult (I'm a resident of the area). Our server was nice but struggled with attending to our tables needs. Would ask only one person and not whole table for drinks, made multiple trips with delays when if he asked our entire group it would have been much more efficient.

    For the price, it really misses the mark. We stayed at the resort. The eclipse was convenient. Had we of driven there for a 'dinner buffet', I would have been hugely disappointed. There were 3 to 4 salads, 1 soup, 1 pasta, 1 type of bread, 1 potato, 1 veg (maybe 2 but I think just 1) a quinoa dish and 3 choices of meat. There was a themed smaller section that had some chips and salsa, enchilada's etc. The food was okay. Not bad. Not great. Service was great ,which was lovely, but for $39.95 person, even great service isn't enough to make me want to dine there again.

    When I inquired about the restaurants on site I was told Eclipse was fine dining and I would chose from a menu. That evening, upon arrival we were told only a buffet was available. I don’t like buffets. The vegetables were stone cold, the short ribs were tasteless and barely warm. The pie was served on a 3 tier rack, lemon merange on the top, so high you couldn’t see as you were serving yourself unless you were over 6’. We are just over 5’. Would have made more sense to out the pumpkin pie up top. Would have gone into town for dinner had we know we only had a buffet to choose from. Very disappointing.

    We were there last time 2 years ago and had a great experience with everything. Now, we can't believe how bad the dining experience was. Terrible food selection, poorly cooked, tables were sticky and felt unclean, but again, most importantly it was about the food, poor selection, poorly cooked and prepared... definitely not what is acceptable of this type of establishment.

    A wonderful buffet with quality food and nice variety. We appreciated the peaceful dining room with its scenic surroundings. So many modern restaurants have laminate flooring with low ceilings and tables close together and are therefore, noisy and makes it unpleasant to have a conversation. Eclipse is spacious with a beautiful carpet and easy to enjoy Excellent.

    We went to the Sunday night dinner buffet. It was excellent! The lovely young woman who seated us and got our drinks for us was wonderful! I think her name is Chahad. We had a great experience!

    Food was lukewarm. Roast beef was very good and so was the bread pudding. Everything else on the buffet was just ok. Place needs a reno badly. Tables were sticky even after the waitress cleaned them. Plates and glasses stuck to table. Tables and chairs were old and scratched and needed to be replaced. Overall the restaurant was clean.

    Went in and was not told what the buffet cost. There was a variety of food to choose from. Some of the food was made Nader cooked and some had been sitting for a while. We chose the roast beef from the carving table because at least the gravy was hot. The tables were very sticky. Every glass and plate stuck to the table and so did our arms. There was a nice view of the lake. We won’t go back.

    Good value for a buffet in Muskoka. Tired furniture in the dining room. All tables need to be refinished - they are all sticky - youll notice when trying to lift your wine and water glass. Choose the outdoor seating if possible. On our Sunday evening the carved roast beef was well done, even in the center of the roast. The gravy helped a bit as did the lovely horseradish. The salad selections were quite nice. The cookies and cream dessert and the oatmeal raisin cookies were a highlight!

    Our second visit within this month and we were happy dining both times. Food choices are so is. Lots of salad and two soup options. Plus grilled food and lamb cuts and other food options. Lost to choose form in the price that it takes to order one entree at an average restaurant. Ambience is casual family friendly. Loved it

    This buffet is nice.....food is amazing and price is a steal. The only thing I will recommend when the buffet end at nine pm , the staff is rushing to clean and reset the table for next day at 8 pm. I am sure it is not the servers s fault because they are amazing whole time from 6 pm . I think the management force them to leave schedule at 9 pm when the buffet end . That is why they need to rush, I strong recommend to give them extra 30 mins for setting up . Then the dining experience will be very very amazing.

    The service, the atmosphere and the food were excellent! There was a lot of variety and everything was home made. We went twice in 3 days. I would highly recommend this restaurant and look forward to coming back.

    It is what it is. It’s a $40 buffet. Finding decent restaurants in Huntsville isn’t easy. The quality of the food was better than I expected and there are enough options to leave you full. There is no ambiance but a spot on the patio gives you a decent view of the lake. If you go with realistic expectations you’ll be satisfied.

    We’ve been coming to Deerhurst for ten years. This was our first time dining at Eclipse. There’s a huge selection of food. The salmon was excellent. And a good selection of salads. Bread pudding was perfect. And our server Gaurav was so pleasant and accommodating. Could not have asked for a better waiter. Thank you for giving us a perfect family dinner.

    Dinner buffet was mediocre. Great choices for kids but some of the adult options were bland and lacked variety. Dessert table was great! Breakfast buffet was also mediocre with some safe choices for all but staff struggle to keep things replenished (Fruit, Maple Syrup, Eggs Benedict). We wanted to sit outside on the balcony and there were lots of tables available there but none of them had been cleared of plates. Literally 7-10 tables full of previous guests plates, cups and half eaten food. Tons for the seagulls to feed on! We reluctantly sat inside and enjoyed the show of seagulls scavenging and pooping everywhere. No bus person to be seen. Send someone out with a cart and clear it!

    We were disappointed with our evening, overall. For starters, our table was very sticky, with the plates, bowls, etc., being literally stuck to the table. As for the food, it was hugely disappointing - not only for the lack of variety but also for the poor quality. One of the dishes I tried was the tortellini pasta with a tomato-based sauce…it tasted like pure tomato paste (not sauce) with no added flavouring. My brother tried the tortellini soup - - a thick tomato soup with no tortellini. Fruit flies were seen on the desserts. I did enjoy both the Caesar and Greek salads. Our server (I have forgotten her name) was friendly and very accommodating, and in no way was any of this negativity regarding our dinner her fault. My brother and I have no plans of returning, although we had really looked forward to his birthday dinner and to visiting Deerhurst.

    Good choices very limited. Prices were very over priced for food selection. Pizza pasta and fries with one meat option of lamb. Salad bar had 2 options. We won’t be going back. It’s disappointing, definitely over priced. Find another food option.
